One of the funniest classic films I have ever seen.

First off, there is no difference in this Blu-ray version; and, the version issued by Paramount a few years ago. Only the cover sheet is different; the special/bonus features are the same. That said; this film still holds up after all this time. While the audio is standard Dolby Digital 5.1; and, not, say , Dolby TruHD 5.1, or DTS HD Masterlossless 5.1, the sound is still very good, and clear. The picture quality is better than the DVD of the movie(which I have) and the detail is sharper. The basic story has been done before( The 3 Stooges did one of their shorts with this as the plot); but, the twists and turns in this film give it the original, and very funny moments. It is not for the kids; but, it is one that I can recommend. Enjoy!

Kind of a cheesy comedy but I like Eddie Murphy in this movie as well as in BHC

Great film. Never loses it applicability. Finally has some extras that were not included in previous releases. One of the titles that debut the new Paramount Presents branding ( other Eddie Murphy titles are scheduled as future releases) The packaging features some new art and the case is clear as opposed to “blue”. The slipcase has an inner foldout that reveals the theatrical poster.

What can be said about Trading Places that hasn't been said about James Joyce's Ulysses? Probably a lot. But if you're reading this review in order to find out whether or not to buy the movie, the answer is yes. If you've never seen the movie, you won't regret it, and if you have, then you already know why you should own it. If nothing else, the scene with the two old bums in Coming to America will finally make sense to you.

You have to buy this as it proves to be a Christmas standard.

My kids loved it, I forgot how great a movie this was and many old movies kids have trouble sitting through (old looking film quality, no effects and such). But I had two full classes raving about it, 3 planning to go buy it, and one who finally began to understand the risks of investing in a financial plan.
