    This thing is pretty fast. Windows boots-up in a few seconds. Comes with a bracket so it can be installed in a desktop drive bay. Not all SSD's come with a bracket. Also included is a software package (downloaded from the website) to update the firmware and clone your drive. Worked without a hitch. Time will tell how reliable unit is.

    I built my HTPC 9 months ago using this SSD. This PC was built with ASRock motherboard, AMD A6300 (dual core 3.7GHz) and 4GB memory and running on Windows 8.1 operating system. As you can see I do not have a fancy processor yet my PC boots up in 3 secs or less - i think SSD takes the credit here. For the note, I use SSD only as my system volume, media files are in 4 x 4TB HDDs. I have never used Transcend drive before but so far so good and I am happy with this SSD.

    I was wary at first since they are cheaper SSDS, however they hold up well and run flawlessly.

    The transcend SSD340 is a cheap buy and an even better investment toward any computer. It is fast, reliable and easy to install. 4 stars because the included program had issues on windows 8.1
