This movie will have you thinking of what's going on in the technology world behind closed doors. The story line is good and original, the actors did a great job to sell the story. Overall I think it's a great movie for those who like to think outside the box and enjoy food for the brain.

Theatrics' were wonderful, I like all the actors and it gives you a perspective on what life would look like if we were able to live forever in another form.

Despite the poor reviews when this movie came out, it is a very good movie. Nothing to complain about. The acting, writing, sets, the pace, everything is top notch. Not to mention Morgan Freeman's always great performance. Any sci-fi or Depp fan will enjoy this movie.

Even though this movie didn't do well with critics I still close to see it in theaters. Enjoyed it so much I had to buy it on Blu-ray. It may not be for everyone, but if you're looking for good acting and a theory that will have you thinking, this movie is good for you.

This film makes you think a bit. Since artificial intelligence and like technologies are being investigated right now, it makes you wonder if this films technology might be available some day. I liked it but it was a little short and somewhat predictable.

Just so you know, I like Most of Johnny Depps movies !! That being said, the movie was ok, it had great promise, but never quite got there !! Think maby they spent to much time on the human angle and not enough on the action !! All in all, it was a cool movie !!

A scientist's drive for artificial intelligence, takes on dangerous implications when his consciousness is uploaded into one such program. Watch and pay attention, it is scary how close to reality this could come to play - not literally but the idea.

Much like the Matrix and Inception, Transcendence deals with the moral and ethical aspects of man & machine, how far is too far for technology to be merged with humanity. Def a cool science fiction film that doesn't rely on overuse of cgi fx but story.

So i love this movie. We must have seen it 4 times. I got it at a great price. The only issue i had was when i picked it up the case was broken so we had to return it for another but as always best buys customer service was excellent.

I love anything with Depp in it, he's such a great Actor and the realism that this movie places on just what can/is happening today behind closed doors. bioterrorism etc. Morgan Freeman always plays a great part as well.

It wasn't the greatest movie even with Mr. Depp and Freeman starring in the movie, but it was worth a watch. My girlfriend seemed to enjoy it more than myself, and she's usually hard to impress with movies like this.

The movie had a very good concept. it was used before in "Lawn mower Man", but had a nice twist to the story. I just think that the transition to the end of the movie went too quickly (and not enough "meat" to it).

One of Johnny Depps finer movies. You don't get to see too many movies where he isn't playing a funny character and it is good to see the breadth of his acting. Good movie!

I'm probably biased when giving this movie 4 stars because I am very much into computers and science. The concept at it's core is very good but starts to become a little far fetched toward the end of the movie.

This a good movie. It is interesting the idea of transcendence. It made for a good movie, even if you don't know much about or agree with the topic.

This is an ambitious, interesting movie that is not without its flaws. Topical premise and good acting performances but some of the directions it goes require a pretty high suspension of disbelief.

Could have been so much better with great story line and cast. However still give it 4 stars for entertainment value and effects. With a few tweaks it could have been great.

But in the end it did not disappoint. Enjoyed it far more then would've expected. CG was well done and just gives you something to think on for the abilities that science may or may not reach.

Fascinating look at a not-too-distant possibility. the science in this sci-fi film is solid and the potentialities are real. If you love Depp and you love sci-fi, you'll like this film.

Transcendence was a very good movie and hope to never see thing type of thing happen in real life. This movie did present some moral issues, but overall it was an entertaining piece to watch
