Anyone within the presence of Lou Reed's voice are in for a real treat. His vocal delivery could paint a picture about the people and places of NY just as well as any storybook tale rivaling that of Dylan or Springsteen. This collection of songs will "transform" you into a believer. Reed takes no prisoners , and he can certainly push the boundaries within the NY skyline.......

Great LP- lots of vintage material. Lou was a New York City attraction for many years. The 60s and 70s were the heyday for Lou and the Velvet Underground. Lou's music is societal poetry. He touches many controversial subjects, as well as relevant current affairs in that time period.

This is a classic album from top to bottom and they did such a fantastic job remastering it before Lou passed on. You won't regret adding it to your collection.

This is just one of those albums a person should own if they are the kind of person that owns albums. Sure, “Walk on the Wild Side” is the monster hit, but the album as a whole is great.

I remember hearing this for the first time in 1972, and it blew me away. Produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson and released at the same time as "Ziggy Stardust". Some great stuff here.

It’s a great album, but maybe I’m just accustomed to hearing it with a leaner sound. It’s full-bodied here, and that’s good in its own right. If you’ve never owned a copy, this will be fine. If you can get a cheaper, older copy else where, do that too.
