Despite what many critics, film reviewers, and the general public may feel about Michael Bay's interpretation of one of the most favorite franchises of Hasbro, I have actually been somewhat of a fan of these films. Don't get me wrong; these movies are far from perfect. But I don't think they're nearly as bad as some out there try to make them seem. All this said, however, there are things that I like and things I don't like about Bay's Transformers. I'll start with what I think they did well. The Cybertronians look very detailed, and the films' makers did a good job of rendering them as realistically as possible, and how they would look like if they came to our world and assumed the form of some of our vehicles. And whenever they transform, you can see all the different parts moving and landing in place. It's exactly how you might imagine if your car could come to life and stand up. Battles and fight scenes are also tough, gritty, and well done and choreographed. I also particularly like the soundtrack of these movies. Pulse-pounding and inspiring, Steve Jablonsky's original compositions capture well the majesty of the living machines these films are about. I even have many of the official MP3s of these soundtracks, and I can remember where in the films they played whenever I listen to them. But as I said, these movies aren't perfect, and where it got me the first time ever watching them were the attempts at humor, some of which were rather crude and not in the best of tastes, and I really didn't find them that funny if at all. I felt they took away from the moment and were annoying at first, but I've since watched this series enough times that I can sort of by-pass them and they don't really bother me as much anymore. Other than that, I don't think I have any other pet peeves about these movies. Any issues I might have had with some of the acting could stem back to the humor attempts, which I already addressed. The new Cybertronian presence on Planet Earth and the sequences of events that followed were made sense to me. An extra-terrestrial robotic race secretly living among us in our world, with more of their kind finding their way here, and some of them meaning to do harm would of course warrant a military response. And they did a fair job depicting how the world would try to cope with this new entity, as more of them arrived and the war between the two Cybertronian factions, the Autobots and the Decepticons, continued to rage on our planet. Product-wise and as a collection, this is a good deal, and you save some than if you bought all of them individually. The Transformers collection looked good on DVD, but even better on Blu-Ray. And from what I've been reading, they look their best yet if you can get them in 4K. Action movies and films with lots of special effects look better the higher the resolution they are played in. (When I bought this collection, it had a different box cover art, as I included in the attached photo. I don't know if this is still the same collection, just a differently designed cover. But the collection I purchased had a total of 6 discs. One disc for each of the 5 movies, and the 6th disc was the bonus features for The Last Knight.) So there you have it. I think movies like these should be taken with a grain of salt, and don't expect Oscar-winning acting or you will likely come out disappointed. They're a fun, summer blockbuster and candy for the eyes, even if they might be a bit over the top in a few parts.

Great addition to my collection of Transformers items. Price was reasonable and pick up was easy. Quality of the product is the best, it's Blu Ray so yeah and I've redeemed all digital copies and they all play so I'm very satisfied with my purchase.n

All of these alien robots would honestly be even better if they had nitrous on them to make them enter like a whole new phase like going super saiyan in dragon ball. Who really is the best character is my man optimus prime. During his infamous speeches he would get me to pumped up i feel like i could fight all of the decepticons. .-.

While this may not include the latest installment in the Transformers saga (Bumblebee), it includes all the others, and digital to boot! Got it on black Friday special so I couldn't pass it up!

These movies are all fantastic and this collection is great. All the Transformers movies are action packed and a great collection to have. The digital versions are also included.
