Kup is nostalgic to me from the movie and having owned the original G1 toy. With this one there are some things that really hit the mark with painstaking detail and some that are slightly off the mark. Good - very well constructed and high level of detail with good quality control in the figure - great articulation in the upper body - energon treat container was a nice touch - biggest nod (which could be confused for poor craftsmanship) is that the figure has the ability to have appendages detached for recreation of Quintison scenes. Opportunity - while the transparent chest plate adds finesse the overall anemiated chest area is not what I would have gone for. I wish it was a little truer to form to the movie. - I wish the legs had a little more range of motion for posability. Takara has set a very high bar so it's not that it's bad it's just we've gotten spoiled. Overall it's a great purchase to add to your collection

Kup! This is a great Kup but not perfect. I was first introduced to him at age 12 in 1986. This figure gets a lot of things right, except his face. Something about it just isn't quite right. Maybe it's a little too tall, I might have preferred it a little rounder. The Japanese headmaster Legends figure from a few years ago had a better face. Still, good.

I've never had the original G1. When you're a kid you can't get everything. Looks just like the character.

Picked this up to finish up my collection... got lucky to grab it before they sell out.

Better than the headmaster version, but awkward to transform. Not bad for an old timer.
