Song by song breakdown of Transit Blues by The Devil Wears Prada 1. Praise Poison: There's something quite attractive about the intro in this song. It's very catchy, and gets you into the song quickly. This is a short and riffy song, and was written to be a fun listen. With a catchy screamed chorus, you can't go wrong with this song as an opener. 2. Daughter: This was the first single, as well as the first song I heard off the record. I listened to this song back when it was first released and it caught my interest. This, like the opener, is another fun and bouncy metalcore song. 3. Worldwide: Here's where TDWP starts to get heavier. This is one of the heavier songs off this record, and it doesn't disappoint. With some catchy riffs and one of the best breakdowns on the album, this song is a nice standout among the others. 4. Lock & Load: Similar to "Worldwide", the fourth track on Transit Blues has some heavier riffing and aggression. The whole song builds up to a nice heavy and in-your-face ending. 5. Flyover States: Originally meant to be an instrumental song, this song showcases some beautiful instrumentation, fantastic atmosphere, and a huge buildup into a massive ending. It is just such a beautifully written song and will be a fan favorite for sure. 6. Detroit Tapes: This heavy and dark track showcases some fantastic metalcore riffing while telling you a depressing story of an old man dealing with the abandonment of his significant other. The heartfelt lyrics of Mike Hranica truly shine here, and he shows how brilliant of a lyricist he is on this album. 7. The Condition: This was the last single to be released, which is a bit confusing to me. If I'm being honest, this is my least favorite song on the record. It's not that it is bad by any means, it's a great song. It's just not as grabbing as the rest. I'm not too sure why it was chosen as a single over songs like "Worldwide" or "Praise Poison." Not a bad song, but it is a bit overshadowed by the others on the record. 8. To The Key Of Evergreen: There are two parts to this song. The first half is among the heaviest parts of the album, with crushing drums and one of the best lead riffs I have heard in a while. The second half, however, is what got me so excited for this album. The mind-blowing atmospherics and beautifully written instrumentals and lyrics carry this song into greatness. After the short atmospheric break, the song drops into one of the most beautiful moments on Transit Blues. 9. Submersion: Riffs, riffs everywhere. The guitar work shines bright in this track. Excellent songwriting is very apparent on this entire record. It seems like they truly put their heart and soul into what they were creating. This song showcases this greatly, and is a very fun listen. 10. Home For Grave Pt. II: This beauty shines through as one of the best on the album. Mike Hranica ventures into some different style of vocals here, and pulls it off well. Spoken word is never a bad thing to add to a song. It often adds emotion to the song, and is done very well here. The lyrics are incredibly dark, and speak of the loss of a loved one. How does one deal with such an obstacle? To Mike Hranica, the best thing to do is to remind yourself that you will die one day also, so you better live while you can. 11. Transit Blues: Now we have arrived at the albums closer. This song is a little short to be a closer, but still packs a punch with heavy power and another one of the best lead riffs on the album. It's one of the standouts on the album for sure. The chorus is fantastic and catchy, and the song as a whole leaves you satisfied with the monster of an album that you just finished listening to.

If you have been a Devil Wears Prada fan for as long as I have (7 years). This album is a great addition to their overall album history. The album has something for everybody. The singer Mike Hiranica is very poetic in his writing and it shows. The keyboards and instruments are top notch. I would recommend this album to all Devil Wears Prada fans!

The Devil Wears Prada has done it again. They never cease to create a cd filled with original and interesting content. I only gave it a 4 star rating because some songs are much better than others, but overall, a great cd.

The Devil Wears Prada seemed to become mature and more emotional in this record. A huge transition from their previous works yet it is acceptable and phenomenal. Must own

Bought on a whim since I didn't realize the New CD was out. I was pleasantly surprised that one the first go round I loved all the songs. Usually takes awhile to warm up to when a band slightly changes from the past but I loved it

TDWP is at it again, albeit with a slight change in the lineup. This record is great, and hits just as hard as their other releases. Love it!

At this point, TDWP are who they are. If you want driving metalcore with the occasional softer passage and clean vocal, pick this up.

If you have ever listened to this band before then you know what to expect. They don't step too far out of their comfort zone on any release, but they truly own what they do release to release
