    A really well done version of Treasure Island. I love this move as a kid and now wanted to share with my boys

    The best film version of this timeless classic! Starring Charlton Heston as Long John Silver, Christian Bale in a very early role, and Oliver Reed bring this story it's best screen adaptation ever. DVD color and clarity is excellent.

    First saw this movie as a kid, and liked it so much I wore out my VHS version rewatching it. Can't stand Charlton Heston in general, but the rest of the cast's acting and the faithfulness to the novel more than make up for this.

    This is the best movie adaption for treasure island I have ever seen! the production vale is great and the acting superb! Billy Bones is played with all the crass that Oliver Reed can muster< and Heston does a fantastic job, showing a gritty side I have not seen in other adaptions of this book. one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES!
