I have used Trend Micro on a few devices now, and the protection itself is excellent. It runs quietly in the background without impacting my gaming performance or slowing down the system, which is critical for me. The reason for taking off one star is the number of pop-ups. Out of the box, it can be a little intrusive with notifications about additional features or marketing offers. You can turn most of them off in the settings, but I wish the 'silent mode' was the default. Otherwise, it is a solid antivirus suite that I trust.

I’ve always used Trend Micro for internet protection and really like the product. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars is because I wasn’t able to successfully activate the Best Buy free 6-month subscription on my new laptop because I was already a current Trend’s subscriber with an expired subscription. I’ve tried following the instruction manual, but still couldn’t get it activated. I’ve even chatted online with Geek Squad, but because my new laptop was in S mode, I was unable to download the app to share my screen. So, it looks like I’ll have to pay for a subscription and won’t be able to take advantage of Best Buy’s free 6-month subscription.

I enjoy its operation on both my Mac and my Windows PC. It's good that it informs you about missing links on Google and social networks. I've clicked on some dodgy links before, so this is a great opportunity. Although I don't use it much, I find Facebook's privacy scanner feature interesting. It's helpful to be aware of bad links when sending emails and instant messages. I haven't experienced any virus issues since downloading it, which is positive. There are parental control measures, however, as I am not a parent, I cannot say much about them. What is the top? Avoid annoying pop-ups that constantly appear. The subscription covers 3 devices and lasts 6 months, which is convenient. Overall, it offers solid security without affecting my performance.

I like how it works on both my Mac and Windows PC. It’s cool that it warns you about sketchy links on Google and social sites. I’ve clicked on some dodgy stuff before, so this is a big plus. The Facebook Privacy Scanner is a neat feature, though I don’t use Facebook much. For emails and IMs, it’s good to know it’s watching out for bad links. Haven't had any virus issues since I installed it, so that's good. Parental controls are there, but I don’t have kids, so can’t say much about that. The best part?
