For most use cases, I am sure the adapter works fine.
However, the adapter lacks the functionality of passing EDID information to the computer (information sent from the external display back to the computer), which also includes native and other allowed resolutions of the screen. My screen needs a different resolution from the default ones (it only shows two options), and I am not able to change this. This is in combination with a MacBook Air and the newest macOS.

Not an Active adapter

I bought this because it said it says "Active" VGA Adapter...In order to hook up a 3rd external display to the late 2015 macbook pro an Active adapter is needed. This one does not work. Works fine as standard VGA Adapter but does not fit the description.
