Very dramatic and a good show. Definitely falls short compared to season 1 but that's a very high bar to reach.

Lots of other people have a lot of bad things to say about this second season, but I feel that it is still a great season. Not as good as the first season because it went in a different way but you should still watch it, everyone did a great job, strong performances by everyone.

While this season of True Dectective is similar to the first season's slow reveals and dark atmosphere, the flawed individual characters keep reeling from one depressing moment to the next until you actually don't care anymore. The acting is great and it is fun to see Vince Vaughan in a non comedic role but the story plot keeps weaving into an unpredictable and unsatisfying finale.

Season one was superb so Season two would be difficult to follow. They assembled a good cast and it was a good show

Season 2 was hard to follow when watched when originally televised, but made much more sense when watched again.

Heard really great things about this television series and picked it up for a great deal on Black Friday!

Although I didn't like this second season as much as the first, I still really enjoyed it. This was on sale.

As anyone who watched season one of True Detective season 2 must be good. I have not watched season 2 as of this time. I do not want to break it up by watching a little at a time. As soon as I have the time to watch it from start to finish that is what I'm going to do.

I liked this season of true detective. The cast was good, but it needed a better plot in the ending anyway.

Yes it does not have the same feel as season 1 but the story is still a good one. It is hard not to say anything about the show itself without spoiling the outcome of the show. The only thing that I can say about it is that you can feel for the people and at times even root for them. The video and audio quality is good and the Special Features are average for a HBO release.

As soon as you finish watching the first episode you'll begin to think, it'll get better with episode 2 or 3. Well, it kinda doesn't. Season 2 is no where good as the amazing first season. I won't get into details but for what it's worth, it has some good qualities but not that many either. If you enjoyed the first season, then watch it but don't have high expectations

The first season was a success. Glad to see the series returns, with fresh faces and story plot. The first season vets aren't included in the second season, however that doesn't stop the action and intensity. Highly recommend this series a go for mystery, cop style drama..

I thought that it was a very good sequel to season 1 but not quite as good. Season 1 crushed it.

True Detective was good but not as good as first year. The story seemed more contrived and labored.
