This is a smart, gritty, well written show. The case keeps you hooked until the very last episode. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey's Emmy nominations were well deserved.

True Detective is unlike any other show I've seen. It has stellar performances by Harrelson & McConaughey and an incredible "darkness" about it that really digs deep. Recommended.

True Detective was a very enjoyable series. Woody and Matthew were outstanding. The series was not just a lot of violence and shock but kept your interest and was very well done.

True detective is a very thrilling show! I saw it when it first aired on HBO and I couldn't stop watching it, I had to buy me a copy of this show that's how amazing it is!

Season 1 is simply incredible! Each episode has you begging for more. It may not be as great as Dexter, but it comes pretty close. On a side note, avoid the second season

This show was very intriguing. I was drawn in immediately. The chemistry was great between Mat Woody. They were excellent together. I certainly recommend this season.

Season 1 of True Detective is one of the best seasons of any show of this era of TV. Some of the best acting you'll ever see by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Never watched it, and kept hearing good things about it. Finally saw it at Best Buy, and decided to purchase and watch it. It is really good and lives up to the reviews.
