This has been the best series I have watched in a long time. Finally Best Buy has offered it at such a cheap price that I just couldn't say no. Well worth your time to invest watching this excellent series.

Acting is great. High quality show. Second season was not nearly as good, but it is an entirely different show so do not let what you hear about Season 2 keep you from watching Season 1. It is television at its finest,

i enjoyed the movie completely. the actors were excellent. the stories were very cool. i can't wait for the next one. it was a good choice of characters in the stories of the movie. excellent movie. i recommend it to any one.

One of my favorite shows of all time. Great performances from the entire cast, intriguing dialogue, awesome cinematography, and a great crime drama. This is definitely high quality tv and I would highly recommend it.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are terrific in this weel written new series. Loads of terrific plots and changes to hold you in suspense from beginning to end. One of the best new series on tv.

Maybe one of the best single seasons HBO Has ever done. Season two is no where as good as season one but since there done as whole story per season don't hold it against this one. Very epic and original. Crazy good.

The storytelling in this series is top tier. It will keep you glued to your seat throughout each episode. However, keep in mind the it is a dark and somewhat depressing story. Definitely not for kids.

If you like a great story acted fantastically then this is a show you must watch. It's slow moving and there isn't much action this show was amazing. great acting and very well written, it was one of my favorites of 2014.

This is an amazing show. The BluRay pack does what it's supposed to, but like other HBO shows, their menus take too many clicks to navigate and could be a bit simpler.

I am not a big fan of a lot of HBO shows due to the excessive violence and nudity but True Detective was a very solid series. When watching it's important to pay close attention to a lot of the smaller details.

I personally have written off season 2 and I now pretend that it does not exist. True Detective is the best mini series I have ever seen. Mysterious and gut wrenching, its crime drama at its very highest peak.

I loved this series -- the storytelling, direction, and acting draw you in, and keep you riveted. Reminiscent of David Lynch at times. Both Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaghey are excellent in this.

Without any doubt, True Detective, is one if the most compelling series in our already enormous collection. The pairing of Mathew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is entirely too suited for this dark, shocking series.

True Detective: The Complete First Season This was an outstanding mini-series. The story is quite compelling, the lead actors are top notch as is the filmaking. I say put this into your film library!!!

Owning the shows on Blue Ray disc allows me to watch each episode on my timetable to enjoy all over again. Exceptional performances are given by the actors in the characters they portray that brings them to life.

This story has the power to keep you watching and willing to discover the who what and when! It moves slowly but is irresistible. Thanks to the excellent acting of the two main characters......this is a must see.

This first season of True Detective keeps you looking forward to each episode. The acting is incredible & the format of this show is unusual & a fresh spin on a "who done it." High 5 to HBO for good programming!

True Detectives is an awesome story with passionate and realistic characters. The mini series not only gets you engaged in their story and the case, but in the characters and who they are. HBO has done it again!

Harrelson and McConaughey are at the top of their game. Very surprised that Matthew did not receive an Emmy for his performance. Intriguing storyline, Great acting all-around. Must see.
