Season one blew me away, so when I was able to pick up season 2 for a great price (they matched Amazon), I was eager to start watching. This one seems to have a bit less nudity than season one, but still very brutal scenes and drama/story line. Bottom line, when's season 3!!!!!

Literally! Vince Vaughn is a great actor on his own, and he carries his parts of the show very well. Though I won't say the show itself was spectacular, Vince's moments are definitely worth a watch. Colin Farrell offers great acting as well. I highly recommend this show.

I thought that the exclusive packaging was a very nice touch. This show is extremely entertaining, it will have you on the edge of your seat holding your breath in anticipation. All the actors involved give a top shelf performance.

Not quite as good as the first season, but it is still solid if you get through the slow start.

I haven't watched yet but after the first season I had to get season 2.

season two is entertaining, although it follows a similar playbook as the first season. There are plenty of twist and turns, but the overall storyline is predictable.

Great acting and feel but no one meshed on screen and there was way too much going on. Season two was ok but not the same quality as the first season.

It's hard to compete with the powerhouse of McConaughey and Harrelson, but I actually enjoyed the second season a fair amount!

The first season of True Detective was television glory. With Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson that season was one of HBOs best ever. The second season unfairly had similar exceptions, even though there would be a different cast and different plot. I tried to look at the second season as a different show completely. I think overall it was a very good season, with clearly great acting from some more top notch names. I would recommend this but to urge you not to try to compare it to the first season. I'm hoping they go forward with a third season as well!
