Fine Blu-ray upgrade of this entertaining and interesting film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Jeff Bridges. This disc was released by Lionsgate with all the old extras from the Paramount DVD, plus two new ones, making this well worth the purchase for fans. A fine film, with a great performance from Jeff Bridges. Fun to see him act with his father, who plays a congressman out to shut Tucker down. Wonderful period atmosphere and beautiful picture quality. The kind of movie that makes you want to know more about the real people involved.

Saw this move when it first came out years ago - great story about a true innovator who was WAY before the time - and how most of his innovations were incorporated into our modern cars (seat belts, disc brakes, rear engine configurations, etc.) - and how a corrupt system stifles innovation and manipulates systems that SHOULD benefit the public - interesting how Lloyd Bridges plays off Jeff Bridges -

Although I am unsure of the historical accuracy of this movie, this movie depicts Tucker as an earlier day Elon Musk. The difference is that Tucker never succeeds where Musk has (so far). According to the movie, although Tucker successfully manufactured an advanced car that was better than the present day autos, the auto industry managed to destroy his company.

very good story. bridges did an excellent job. the man tucker was ahead of his time.

For anyone who is a car enthusiast this particular film will fill your fancy mainly because it tells the tale of Preston Tucker. The man who would design and manufacture the 1948 Tucker Torpedo 'luxury' car that would be met with major controversy upon it's initial run and the eventual fallout because of it. Jeff Bridges leads a solid cast that also included his father Lloyd and Joan Allen. Disc specs feature a decent transfer in both audio & sound. A good once over on the bonus material as well.

So many movies need an a/v upgrade and it's about time one that deserves it gets it. Now they need to go back and do it right. Everyone knows this is a great movie about a great man and that it deserves a proper upgrade. So if you're an upgrade geek that has to have them all no matter what, ok go ahead. But, if you're looking for something more. Well.......

Great film, wonderfully acted and a great topic. Love films from this time period

Being a historical and old car buff, we had seen this movie in the theater and had it on VHS a long time ago. Saw it in Blu-Ray and had to have it.

Tucker should always be remembered in this country as a true inventive American. Most should watch to understand what he tried to do.

Solid movie. Capra-esque. Great blu ray release.

This movie take me back to my childhood we had to watch this in class I liked it then and love this film now.

This movie displays the determination of Mr. Tucker to build a safe and pleasurable car for the common man.
