My son raves about this Turtle beach headset. Not sure if i like the fact that he cant hear me! But they are definately a hit with him and his friends.

Good headset and the price is not too bad for what it does. If you wanna save a little I would also recommend the afterglow headset.

Turtle Beach Ear Force X42 is a magnificent headset. It reproduces sound with excellent fidelity which is important in many Xbox games. It is particularly important to me as I have some hearing loss due to age . I can connect sound-out from regular TV and HDTV to a device (sold separately) that sends audio signals from anything the TV can display to this headset. So with the fidelity of the X42, I am able to hear as well as everybody else in the room without cranking-up the volume to levels that would annoy others. I would not hesitate to recommend this headset Model X42 to anyone who asked.

Was a Christmas gift for our 15 yr old son. We were disappointed to discover they use AAA batteries (not rechargeable) and they have to be plugged into the controller if he wants to be able to talk. Don't know why they couldn't be made Blue Tooth.

Good product but buy rechargeable batteries... the two AAA's don't last more than approximately 10 hours,

Wireless headphones work great . NO wires laying across the floor . Sounds great , looks great . Fit is adjustable .

These are great when playing xbox live. The sound quality is awesome. The only thing is that for some reason mine went in and out and it just died. It's like the batteries are dead, but that's not the problem. So I don't know what happened.

Works great! Amazing sound clarity. The mic picks up every sound in the room. So hit the mute button before bathroom breaks. My friends could hear me very clearly and the its way better than the stock headset. The surround sound effect was pretty good for headphones. I definitely recommend these if do not want to disturb anyone like neighbors or sleeping children.

i was having trouble with my wired headsets always having static and uncomfortable when playing due to limited room to move. that is not an issue now.

The headset really puts you in the middle of all the action. The crisp clear sound is awesome. The quality is great. This product is definitely worth tge price. I'm a happy gamer!

Uncomfortable on ears. It does not fit all the way around normal sized ears and gets uncomfortable after a short amount of time. Has great sound though.

Sounds great, solid and we'll made, highly recommend getting rechargeable batteries as it eats them like mad.

This turtle beach item is great. It feels like you are in the game.

The sound quality is awesome. I really like that the sound is directional when playing first person shooters, rather than a generic impact. I'm able to orientate myself better. The adjustments are easier to make than my previous X12. Overall a good quality product worth the price.

Purchased these for my 10 year old son for Christmas. He loves them. Set up was fairly easy.

Great product for the money. Last set of these I purchased I used for at least three hours a day, everyday . They lasted two years. Talkback cable and microphone are made from cheap wire but other than that they are great. Highly recommend to anyone serious about gaming.
