Decent headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a decent headset. But Not worth the full price. I got mine through warranty exchange because my old headset died. So I only paid $30. But it's got good sound and can hook up to a phone with the provided cord. All day charge too The bad is its all plastic the ear cuffs swivel and get loose and the plastic creeks (and the mic picks up the creeking) oh and it likes to unsync every once in a while. And the sync button it's one of those pin size holes. Did I mention the auto shutoff system? Yea really nice. It shuts off when conditions are met. (3 month in and still don't know what they are. It isn't if no audio I play music when solo gaming and it isn't inactivity cause left it on overnight) so yea good pros bad cons not worth full price. I'd say $60 tops

Comfortable And Convenient Letdown...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty excited to be able to go wireless in my cramped bedroom, so I wouldn't have to worry about my headset cord snagging on anything. At first I was quite impressed with the sound, and the comfort of the ear muffs. However, within a week sound would just randomly drop out, making it impossible for me to communicate with friends online. I tried multiple ways to fix the problem, including updating the firmware, moving modems/routers, to no avail. I returned them and picked up a par of Astro A40TR. They're wired but they're comfortable and reliable. Dunno if I'll use Turtle Beach again as their build quality seems to be going downhill.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a bit disappointed in this headset. It fits well, and has a good battery life. The sound is a bit off. It always has some form of static coming thru the headset. The wireless is nice but I absolutely never use this set over my XO Seven

Dissapointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please read before buying!!!!!!!!!!! Experience: My experience with TB has been unsatisfactory, I wont say that it's terrible but it has been subpar. In august I purchased the Stealth 420x, and I had serious trouble with the mic, the mic monitoring was terrible. I literally had to bring the mic to my lips in order to get any feedback. Obviously, this is an issue because the people on the other end experienced explosive sounds from words like POP or park. Therefore, I returned them and I decided to wait for the 420x+. Finally, I got a pair of 420x+ the first few days were great but eventually the drivers began to make a popping sounds every time I paused a song, played a song, skipped a song, basically anytime the sound was muted or unmuted when using the 3.5mm plug. I contacted Turtle Beach and they asked me to return them, so I did and got a second pair of 420x+, not too long after the new pair began to have the same distortion. You can also hear static when charging your cellphone, which shouldn't happen either. Since the headphones are designed to pair with a usb transmitter, the light on the side of the headphones constantly flashes a light when you are way from the transmitter, meaning that when listening to music on your phone you’ll be lighting up the place. Game sound: The game sound is great and so is the sound coming from a phone, computer, ipod, etc. The only issue is that terrible popping sound coming from the drivers that I talked about earlier. Also there is a ton of sound leakage, meaning people around you will be able to hear your music or game sound. The frequency response is decent. Features: The Superhuman hearing actually works, the EQ Presets are great, but these presets only work on the sound coming from the USB transmitter. Also, the 420x+ aren't fully wireless, you cant connect to other devices via Bluetooth, so they provide that aux cable, which is what I had issues with. The built in voice prompts are extremely useful. The individual chat and game sound controls on the headset are also well placed. Comfort They are comfortable and don’t heat up too much, after 2-3 hours of use your ears will get warm but it isn’t uncomfortable. Design/Build: The build feels cheap since its mostly made out of hard plastic. The design is nice and they don’t look like a gaming headset, therefore, you don’t stick out like a sore thumb. Overall: If you plan on strictly using the 420x+ as a gaming headset, go for it. If you’re planning on using the headset to its advertised capabilities, I’d say to look at a different headset, it will save you trips to best buy. This is the third TB headset that I am returning.
