Customers are saying

Customers praise the Ear Force Stealth 520 headset's exceptional sound quality, comfortable fit for many, and long battery life. Positive feedback also highlights its wireless convenience and generally affordable price. However, some users mention that the headset's fit may be too tight for certain head sizes, and the volume control placement is a potential issue for some. The overall experience is largely positive, with many users finding the headset to be a great value.

Good sound as expected, cheaper build quality

I have had a couple pairs Xbox Turtle Beach headsets over the years and have been pleased with them. Since I just purchased a PS4 Pro I thought I would get a PS4 compatible headset to go with it due to previous experience with TB headsets and decent reviews. Overall, they sound good but seem to be a little cheaper in other areas than my current Xbox headset. My current Xbox headset is probably 2 years old but is fully wireless with digital surround sound like this set. When getting my PS4 set I was essentially looking for the same two requirements. Pros: -Lightweight -Fully wireless -Digital surround sound -Look pretty nice -Sound about as good as the Xbox set with a smaller digital transmitter Cons: -The materials seem to be cheaper than previous versions. Ear pads and head band seem to be cheaper quality and not as comfortable. They tend to squeeze my head way more and I have to adjust them more often during longer gaming sessions - Short USB cable for charging. There is no way to charge and play at the same time without getting a longer cable. Luckily I have a long cable that works so I can play and charge but the USB charging cable it comes with is maybe 2 feet long. I have not tried the chat functionality with this set but if it sounds as good as what the PS4 mic test sounded like it will be just fine. So overall I think it is a decent set if you are looking for fully wireless headset with the digital surround sound that sounds good. Comfort for these is disappointing and I wish they were on par with my Xbox set. I would probably recommend them as long as you can handle the cons above.

    Good Product

So my dog ended up getting a hold of my old headset and chewed through the wires which is why I purchased this headset. No wires for him to chew on, and I have surround sound set up on my tv so I thought if I could get surround sound in my headset that would be perfect to. So this one seemed to be perfect, I looked up lots of reviews before purchasing them as I am very picky about my electronics. Got home excited to use my new headset and it turns out this one isn't compatible with my PlayStation 4 even though they are meant for the PlayStation 4. We'll it turns out the PlayStation 4 Slim had gotten rid of the optical port which this head set needs to plug into. The optical port is still on the PlayStation 4 pro and original PlayStation 4 so I can see this headset working great for both of those systems but right now I only have stereo sound so I will be taking these back to get a different pair.

    Left me speechless!

My quest for a $100 headset ended with the Turtle Beach 520 for the PS4. I wanted a cheaper alternative to my Turtle Beach Elite Pro headset + TAC, which are great but too expensive to keep. These 520s blew my mind. I had low expectations when I bought it. I was expecting a sub-par sound experience, something I would have to trade for the cheap price and wireless feature. Boy was I wrong. These are JUST AS GOOD as the $400 experience I got with the Elite Pro lineup! The 7.1 surround sound is just fantastic. Its loud, its crisp and the bass thumps. I played a few hours of Titanfall 2 which left a smile on my face. Its a satisfaction you get when you buy something that's truly worth the money. The mic is crystal clear and so is the incoming chat audio from other players. There are two cons: One is the build quality and the other is comfort. The extensive plastic reminds you that this is a $100 headset. I don't mind as long as they survive my use. The headsets are a little tight which makes it difficult to where for extended periods. Overall, I'm utterly shocked. I've tried other cheaper TB brands like the 420 stealth which were mediocre. Not these. Turtle Beach definitely deserves kudos for this. TRY IT!

A little too tight around the head

Sounds are fantastic, you can hear every little thing. Big problem is they are way too tight. Head and jaws hurt after 1/2 hour of wearing them. Ear cuff is also small. If you have a small head or are a kid, you will enjoy

I swapped out the ear cups with something more comfortable. They're a little tight on my head for my liking but overall not a bad set. Sound is great!

    Good overall headset

Setup was simple and easy on my PS4. Audio quality is good, but sometimes the bass is so "boomy" it tends to wash out other noises. When you change a setting you get a voice confirmation through the headphones on which particular parameter was changed. Stereo sound is enveloping in all modes. Also works on my Windows 10 laptop. If you are looking for the best possible sound you're going to have to spend more money, but this product delivers at this price point.

    Ok for the price

The sounds is pretty good and it is surround sound.. They are uncomfortable. The plastic pops with any kind of movement. Even just talking makes the plastic make an annoying pop. I also don't like that it's not passive, If you want to play on a surround system you have to unhook the digital optical cable every time. I would recommend them for the price .

    Doesn't work with PS4 slim

Do not buy these if you have a PS4 slim. This headset requires an optical output which the newer PS4 doesn't have. They will still work with the slim but you won't have independent control of game and chat volume. When you turn game volume up the both go up and vice versa. There should be a disclaimer on the box that states they won't work properly with PS4 slim.

    Worst first headphones I've owned

I bought these and have had them for a few months. At first I thought the discomfort for continues use would go away, but it never did. Next these headphones would get a random ear-piercing noise in them which would drive me crazy. They cut out sound sometimes too which is crucial in the games I play. I think these are a waste of money and should have never been purchased to start with.
