I upgraded from the stealth 500, and the sound just blew mr away. The quality of the noise cancellation and surround sound makes me feel like I am in the game.

Pros: The headset itself is one of the best on the Market. The sound is great!! You can probably get around 20feet away from your Console before you start have connection problems. Cons: I have bad hearing so it only gets so loud. My friends who have good hearing like it. I recommend something louder if you have any type of hearing trouble. Overall B+

The sound is top notch whether gaming or watching movies. Mic kind of sounds off to other players but not bad enough to keep from purchasing.

If you want or need the best sound look no further. Sound quality is amazing! Easily connect to multiple devices included smart phones while playing Xbox.

Let me start out first by shaming the people that hate this product based off the microphone. It's as simple as this, there are 4 settings for the mic so if it doesn't sound good on one setting then try another. I didn't tell my friends I bought a new headset for awhile and guess what, I didn't get any complaints, as a matter of fact people stated I sounded clearer so for those who say the mic sucks I'd challenge your reading skills and the knowledge of the product you bought. This is the best headset I've purchased and it's my 5th gaming headset in the last 10 years.

First I will say that this headset has some great game audio quality due to its 50mm drivers. The sound will indeed blow you away, but and this is a big but because the headset is meant for gaming and if you are a gamer that likes playing with others then the mic functionality is very important too and it falls truly short in that aspect. I will preface this review by saying that I had the original wireless headset for the Xbox One; the Turtle Beach Stealth 500x and I would have bought them again even though the build quality was not as solid as I wish it been (broke on each side right about the drivers and I had to tape them to continue using them and I am still using them today hoping Turtle beach comes out with a 500x/800x hybrid baby) because the audio and mic are great. When I asked what I sounded like when I used my new 800x headset all of my buddies said that it sounded like I was speaking in a tin can and I was not as audible as I was with my 500x headset. So I made a makeshift "boom mic" with my hand from the mic hole on the headset to my mouth and it was a night and day difference for my friends as well as me as the for the Mic Monitoring because in all honesty unless I was yelling I would never know it was a feature of this headset. So with that said if Turtle Beach combines the boom mic on the 500x to the 800x then that would have been one heck of a headset and I would never returned it like I did this one. So believe all of the other reviews saying that the mic is not good at all, because it is not... It was truly a let down because all of the other features of the headset I truly enjoyed. So I will be waiting Turtle Beach for your next elite wireless headset that will take on the Astro A50's because unfortunately this headset fell short and I will continue to use my broken 500x headset until then.

this headset has the best sound when compared to astro a50 and has a lot more features. with me it basically came down to comfort. the elite 800 sound way better, more features but fit better on smaller ears. the astro a50 sound good and feel soooo much more comfortable. I tried the elite 800 for like a month but could take the pain on my ears after wearing them after a hour. I had to tske them back but if you have smaller ears and this headset feels comfortable for you. definetly keep these

After buying a pair for my PS4 I had to buy another for my Xbox. Its worth it if you enjoy gaming in peace.

They have the best sound around. So many built in presets. Mic is inside the headphones they are TOTALLY wireless no chat adapter can blow your ear drums away have a great battery life and a docking station. Can be charged via usb during those LONG and I mean long gaming sessions and used as well. Best headset I've ever encountered. I no longer use my 7.2 receiver setup.

I love the bluetooth integration. The sound quality and control was better on my P51's. The P51's always break at hinge due to poor materials. I went thru 5 replacement pairs. I thought they solved that problem, but after a number of months these too break for no apparent reason at hinge area.Poor design and materials. I PAID (Sorry Best Buy Warranty) for a replacement.. The warranty does not work like you think, you need to re-purchase warranty for new pair.. lol WHAT?! If the second pair breaks, and I handle them as an adult with kid gloves always, I will get replacement and sell them and try another company. Too bad such a great pair of headphones ruined by poor design and materials.

I'm in love with this headset it's absolutely great. If there was one thing i could change though, it would have to be how sensitive the buttons are.

I love this headset! I can hear everything in the game and outside noises are very minimal. I can't even hear the fan blowing right next to me.

The sound is fantastic and the crazy thing is I swear it almost sounds like there not on and I'm just playing with my surround sound, very nice

Your Game or music will sound amazing..your voice will sound like you are talking into a soda can if you are in a big room.. if you game in a small room or yell loud then your friends can hear you. the boomless mic is most likely the reason.

This is on of the best headset I have ever used the sound is unbelievable. Not just for gaming even withe my phone the sound is next to perfection

This is a great headset but could be better!! Plastic quality feels cheap, volume is really low when using Bluetooth to listen to music. Surround sound during gameplay is great! You hear everything!!!

Over priced item or would have 5 stars. You have to have a certain style controller to use. Didn't know that ahead of time. Good quality but the other things kept it from being great.
