Customers commend the Elite 800 Wireless DTS 7.1-Channel Surround Sound Gaming Headset's exceptional sound quality, wireless functionality, and comfortable design. Many also appreciate its good battery life. However, some users find the buttons overly sensitive, the price high, and the fit snug for larger heads. A few also noted the headset's weight as a potential issue during extended use.

These Headsets are amazing!!! You can do everything with them. The different options available for sound is great. Comfortability and quality is exceptional. Just wish the price was dropped at least $50.

without a doubt some of the best headphones you can buy at their price point, the base is a must have for these headphones at is makes the design and feel so much better, only complaint is some white noise when no sound is playing but that common in all headphones and the noise cancellation almost completely removes that. If your interested in comfortable gaming or simply entertainment headphones definetly consider these.

Nice battery life and sound compared to the 500's. you have to be careful when you handle them so you don't press the buttons by accident. make sure you install the software and update your drivers!

These headphones are really heavy and tight and i have a small head. The sound is amazing in them but you will get random static. The buttons on the side are really sensitive. These headphones are not good for long gaming sessions. I'll be returning these and getting the Stealth 600.

The sound quality is great and the functions on this head set are great. My main issue with this head set was how loud it can go. I can put this head set on and turn it all the way up and keep it on my head. Not even close to being "too" loud no matter if I'm playing video games, watching movies, or listening to music. I like my sounds loud especially when listening to music. I think for $300 you shouldn't be able to turn it all the way up and keep it on your head comfortably. I took these back like 2 days later and got the astro a50s. I think the Astros are a WAY better head set and they are the same $300. So in my opinion I would go with Astros if I were you.

These headphones are comfortable. Sound quality is excellent and has long battery life. Can pair Bluetooth same time while using in game sound. Noise cancelling is probably best. The charging cradle is a plus as well.

I was a fan of the Charlie Oscar Delta's and these are all that plus built in battery and internal mic. I have zero communication issues with it. The Bluetooth built in was the determining factor in getting the Turtle Beaches over the Astro's. It's completely wireless and the battery life is good. Being able to use the app to adjust the profiles is clutch. Even if you run the battery out which I have only done once only since Destiny 2 came out, you can plug in with micro USB and charge while you play. Footstep focus is where it's at for PVP.

This isn't going to be extensive since there are plenty to be found on Google and are much better than I could do... Simply put this is a great headset. The sound is what you would expect from a headset of this caliber. The improvements turtle beach has made on this headset over privious models from styling to software are great. The quality of the headset seem a bit more stout than most. The only complaints I have are the buttons are easy to accidentally push and the chat is sent through USB then transmitted by the base rather than being send by Bluetooth.

Tried most headsets and returned them. Stuck with these ones cause they were the best ones hands down. Only problem is if you are laying down sometimes the setting buttons get accidentally pushed. Would be nice if it had a lock all buttons switch or something to defuse that from happening. But if you are sitting up or standing then it won't be an issue. Other then that product is great. Especially like the charging stand it sits in.

This is a wonderful headset. I bought this so that I could not only chat with my friends while playing Xbox One but also so that while playing at night I don't have to keep the volume down.
I have had plenty of headsets over the years and this one is my favorite so far. 1 thing I really like about it is that it has Bluetooth. I like to connect my phone so that I can have mt own "soundtrack" while playing my games.
Rechargable batteries is also very nice, no more hunting for AAs in the midle of a game.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Good sound quality. I'm able to pair my phone to it so I don't miss any texts or phone calls while I'm using them. Very comfortable on the ears for a short period. After awhile i have to remove them due to my ears getting hot. Overall it is worth the money.

The sound quality is exceptional as expected. I like that the microphones are integrated and out of the way. The ability to play music from my phone over Bluetooth while I play games without missing out on game audio is wonderful. In addition I can answer calls and talk with them while I still play my game. I would buy these headphones again and highly recommend them to anyone in the market.

Here and there I'll find myself buying an item and not knowing how it's going to perform, these fit perfectly into that category. An exceptional pair of headphones for gaming, leisure and travel. For $300 you would assume that they make an aluminum frame but I guess that wasn't on the books for this year. The bass is good but does distort on certain songs, especially rap. The active noise canceling does a great job cutting out all the annoying everyday sounds of life. The 7.1 is something that needs to be worked on and a little bit more perfected. In addition, it needs to be a little bit louder so you can truly hear everything around you. I really enjoy these headphones and would recommend them to anyone who is an avid gamer looking to have a pair of headphones for multipurpose use.

To spend this much money on a headset with all these features, I expected it to be more intuitive and easy to connect to my devices and get the sound quality that I want.
For this much money, the sound quality is not as good as I expected. It's probably the best of the headsets I tried, but only SLIGHTLY better than headsets that cost less than 1/3 as much, while being more of a pain in the butt to actually use. The headset has a habit of dropping audio and having to be reset and/or disconnected from bluetooth and reconnected in order for it to start working again.
It has caused me nothing but headaches and frustration since I opened the package. It's confusing how you should set it up to get the most out of its surround sound capabilities. If your windows computer doesn't have an optical output and have Sound Blaster Live capability, then you can only use this via Bluetooth (so you better hope your PC has bluetooth!). Mine does have bluetooth, but doesn't seem to like this headset. I've had to mess with settings a lot and drop the pairing and re-pair numerous times because for some reason it just stops working after a while. I HAVE updated the firmware on the headset, but it doesn't fix all the issues I've had with it.
Music sounds good, except for vocals. Games sound great, except for dialogue. Movies & TV are almost unlistenable because this headset renders voices so poorly. Everything sounds great except voices. No matter what settings or pre-sets I change or used, the voices always sound hollow, tinny, and echo-y.
Surround replication is actually pretty decent, but I couldn't get my Windows 10 PC to recognize this as a surround device, only stereo, while connected via Bluetooth.
The wireless transmitter that's included only transmits sound that's connected to it via optical wire. I was hoping that you could connect the wireless transmitter via USB (it requires USB in order to power it, in fact... but it doesn't do data/audio transmission over the USB, just power), or plug HDMI into it, or even plug a regular 3.5mm stereo headset jack in there. But nope, only optical. I wanted to use this with ALL my devices, meaning basically everything plugged into my TV would be able to go to this. Well, it IS possible, because my TV has an optical output, but for some reason it only does Stereo output through the optical port. So I have to plug my PS4 or Xbox One directly into this via Optical if I want true surround sound on it.
To be honest, I don't even really notice much difference between stereo signal with the headset in one of the many Surround modes, and an actual Surround source in Surround mode. So I suppose it isn't that big of a deal.
But with the limitations on connectivity, bad rendering of voices, and headaches with connection loss (and did I mention the bad microphone quality yet?), it's a really underwhelming and frustrating headset that isn't even close to worth over 3x as much as some cheaper options I've tried instead.

I have always loved Turtle Beach. Owned many of the past sets. The Elite 800's are expensive and definitely worth the dollars spent. Very comfortable on the ears and head during long gaming sessions. The sound is crisp and the base is deep with no distortion at high levels. Voice chat is also very clear. I have never heard a complaint while talking during gaming. You can set levels for game and chat independently. No feed back like a lot of cheap mics out there. Many different customizable presets for different games that can be changed on the fly once you set it up via PC. No support for mac yet which would be my 1 minor complaint. The elite tech support dedicated phone number is great too. They can help you quickly with any issues you may have. Have owned for almost a year now and have put many hours on the Elites and they are still good as new. The battery will last for at least 8 or more hours. Has a charging cradle which is awesome. Can also be charged via micro USB while gaming which is very cool. Definitely recommend the elites.

happy overall,
The faux leather pads are hotter than previous models cloth pads and not as padded. External ears get sore after playing a bit.
Otherwise sound is good to great. Full wireless worked perfectly our of box.

I purchased this headset have previously owned Turtle Beach Wireless headsets with the Xbox 360. Overall the features are great, especially wireless, mic boom free in game chat. Only thing I wish was they were a little louder when listening to music via Bluetooth. I would recommend if you don't have a current set of comfortable ear phones to use while gaming, that you spend the money and buy these. The charging stand is very nice and well worth the wait and money.

I've used the XP 500 and 510 series with the 500s bring my favorite however these two headsets do not hold their weight against the 800x. My only complaint which I will not remove a star for is the fact you need the charging base to charge them as the wire directly in no longer does that. The build quality on the sides where the 500s and 510s would ALWAYS CRACK seems to be a lot better as it's twice as thick as it used to be. There is no boom mic as the mic is on the back of the left headphone I believe because when I sit back on the recliner with my head on it people say I'm a bit muffled. Other than that these are a must have. This beats wiring into the controller and replacing that horrible cable for $25 everytime it fails. Best Turtle Beaches I've owned to this day.

These headphones are the best. They are 100 percent wireless and charge by simply setting them in their cradle. Very strong and sturdy construction. They even have built in noise canceling. I have had multiple other sets of headphones and these are the only ones so far that don't hurt my ear what so ever. They are much lighter than other models but do not feel cheap in any way. They are pricy but worth it so get them and take care of them.
