Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset's superior sound quality and comfortable earcups as significant strengths. Many appreciate the Bluetooth functionality and the overall quality of the packaging. However, some users find the maximum volume insufficient and the price point relatively high for the offered features.

I'm very surprised by how negative the other reviews are. This superamp and wired headset are great for my desktop setup for my Xbox One X. For a living room setup, I'd probably stick with wireless--my Plantronics RIG 800LX are a good wireless headset on the Xbox. I've needed a decent solution to listen to podcasts and audiobooks in the background while I play on the Xbox. Just connect your phone to this amp via bluetooth, and you mix the audio with your Xbox's output. The sound quality of the headphones through this amp is just fine. At max volume, I'd say the volume level is right where I like it. I can understand if some were to want it a little louder--if you need to drown out noise, you should buy an amp separately and get some noise cancelling headphones.

The comfort whole gaming either fps or racing is really good. Even has cut out for people who wear glasses for comfort. Nice Bluetooth app for detailed controls. But this is wired only most stay plugged into the Xbox or pc windows 10 officially. Over good in game sound just wish it had a bit more power. The Bluetooth control is only for setting control. This will work without being plugged in.

These headphones sound good and I like that I can pair them with my phone so I can stream music from my phone and still hear the game while playing I also like that they are metal and not plastic so they feel nice and sturdy

These headphones will definitely stand up to hours of gaming without making your glasses hurt around your ears or just make you want to "take a break" from them. Additionally the sound is awesome and the recording from the mic is dang near professional quality! The separate driver is hooked up via USB *mini* which was a little odd, but it came with the cable so no big deal there. It does *require* the occupation of one USB port so just be cognizant of that when you purchase. They worked perfectly as a headset for my Surface Studio when plugged in to the provided driver as well as when plugged in to an Xbox controller paired to the Studio. My only wish is that they would be noise-cancelling for this price; hence 4 vs 5 stars

These headphones are so comfortable, I don't want to take them off. My ears fit right inside the large cushions and it pretty much blocks out all background noise. Really helps you get into the game or movie that much more. Simple setup in both Windows 10 and the Xbox One. Just plug them in and sound comes pouring right out. Great bass response. Voices on Xbox one are some of the clearest I've ever heard while gaming. It sounds like they're right there in your head. It does have bluetooth to connect to your phone but I haven't tried that yet. Great feature though The superamp is really cool, has a nice rubber base and is heavy enough to not move around. It stays wherever you put it. The side plates are removable and replaceable with different ones. Not sure I'd ever do that but it is another cool feature to customize the look of these if wanted. These are some real top of the line headphones. Very happy with them.

First off this is one of the most well constructed pair of gaming headsets I have experienced so far. But still not the best for use. Aside from the SuperAmp's design, which is well thought out with quality materials and a good weight, the functionality is a bit maddening. Primarily, this is because much of it is configured via apps either on PC or mobile devices and via Bluetooth. On most mix hardware, there will be separate dials for chat and game sound volumes, but the SuperAmp requires you to reach for your phone or plug the SuperAmp into your PC to tweak something as basic as chat mix, which is annoying. Turtle Beach's Tactical Audio Controller had separate physical sliders for this functionality, so it seems odd that the company took a step backward here. The SuperAmp is a decent product if you're only planning to use it to inject microphone monitoring and control volume, but the fact that you have to use a separate phone app via Bluetooth to control something as basic as the chat and game sound mix is odd. A simple dial on the SuperAmp would have made far more sense. The Bluetooth connectivity is also far too weak for using external sound programs for any serious length of time, too, making one of its signature features a bit weak. Lets not forget the microphone, The problem is that it just doesn’t match the quality of the optional noise-canceling mic that you could get for the original Elite Pro.

I have very much enjoyed the more detailed sounds during gameplay vs the sound bar from the TV. Have not been able to use the mic but can see that it would be nice to have. Playing music from my IPhone sounds really full. Just wish they were wireless.

I use to have the Turtle Beach 800x and they were all plastic broke a few times. Don’t carry them anymore and have been looking for a replacement. Finally after 3 other headsets I went back to Turtle Beach(Elite Pro 2 Super Amp) and right off the bat the quality of materials is outstanding. There had been mixed reviews, I took the chance and I am very pleased. The app that goes with the super amp are something to get use too but quite useful with the customizable options. Have streaming capabilities as well as being able to use with Windows 10. Be sure to update Firmware by using a computer right away!! One negative- there is no stand to hold them when not in use.. Worth the buy! Hope Best Buy will carry them in house soon!!!

Inferior to Elite Pro + TAC

I bought the Elite Pro 2 on the first day it came out and it was a huge disappointment. The original Elite Pro + the TAC provides a far better sounds experience. Even on the highest volume level, the overall volume on the Elite Pro 2 is not sufficient. I am not a gamer who puts the volume on a deafening level either. I honestly thought I was doing something wrong or that it was settings related, but after exhausting all possible options, it turned out that the sound output was just not very good. I play PUBG currently (soon to be COD), and the Elite Pro 2 were unable to provide comparable (or a superior) level of sound to the original Elite Pro. I tried every stock setting and also tried creating my own. Footsteps were quiet and I got snuck up on a few times, and I have made the decision to return these headphones and continue to use the original Elite Pro.

Was expecting more out of these. Compared to the 800x sound quality and settings with the amp are limited. Definitely returning.

Not happy that my 800x have broke twice in two years. Went in to replace them again just to find out they don't make them anymore. Instead I had to order these ones that arent wireless. So if Im unimpressed I'll never get another Turtle set again. Why would you not make a variant of your premium line wireless? Why not upgrade the 800s? With a 2 yr old I don't see how being wired will work out. Also you put all settings onto an app when i could mix on headset. Seems like Turtle went backwards, terribly unimpressed.
