||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had these for just over a year, the ear cushion cover is falling apart and the speaker screen is coming off. They turn off by themselves and you have to turn the volume up to get them to work. It’s very convenient that the warranty is only a year.

Popping Sound and A Broken Android App
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm writing this review a bit frustrated. I received these headphones for purposes of review. And I really wanted to like these headphones. There's a lot to like: wireless Xbox connectivity and Bluetooth built-in. They're light and feel comfortable on the ears. USB-C charging. Customizable buttons. The 50MM drivers sounded great when I started listening to them. The headphone power button can turn on your XBOX console and the headphones power down whenever you turn the console off. There was a brief period where these were my favorite gaming headphones. But after two hours of use, the headphones begin to pop and crackle when connected to an XBOX or XBOX PC adapter. If I charge them, they work fine, again, for another two hours. I connected the headphones to my XBOX One, a custom PC with an XBOX Wireless Adapter, and a Microsoft Surface Book 3 which has a built-in XBOX wireless adapter. Same problems with all three: audio that cut in and out with popping and cracks. I should note that as Bluetooth headphones, I rarely noticed any popping. If the slight latency doesn't bother you, I guess you could use these as gaming headphones via Bluetooth. As Bluetooth only headphones, these headphones worked much better. Then there's the app. The headphones use a mobile app on either Android or iPhone to connect and make changes to buttons and audio settings. But no matter what I tried, the Android app couldn't find my headset. The app on my iPad and on an iPhone could find the headset and worked flawlessly, but the Android app just wouldn't work. I tested on a Samsung Galaxy s10e, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, and a Google Pixel 4 with no success. A quick check on the Google Play Store showed I was not the only one having issues with the App. The Turtle Beach Audio Hub on the Google Play Store is currently sitting at 2 stars out of 5 with over 6000 reviews. Most users complaining about the same thing: app can't find their headset. Before anyone wonders if I screwed something up by connecting to an iPhone first, I didn't. I tried connecting to the s10e first and it was at the time when I had given up on the app working at all, that I was shocked to find that it worked just fine on Apple devices. By the way, since these are XBOX headphones, why isn't there an audio app or software download on the XBOX and Windows Store? Why do I even need a mobile app? It's a neat feature (when it works), but why no application on the XBOX itself? These headphones need a firmware update. According to audio hub on PC, I have firmware version 1.7.3 which is the latest firmware as of the time of this writing. Hopefully, these headphones get an update in the not too distant future. I can't recommend these headphones in their current state. This is disappointing. I was really looking forward to these headphones. I've had wired Turtle Beach headphones in the past. These headphones are comfortable. When fully charged, they sound great. The details are impressive. The microphone noise gate and customizable buttons are great features. But there's no point if the app is nonfunctional and the headphones pop and cut out after just a few hours of use. I'm going to set these headphones to the side for a bit and hope that these headphones improve with firmware and software updates. Hopefully these are problems that will be patched out soon.

Faulty materials
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for my husband December 2021. He is alway carful with his XBOX and accessories. These recently broke in the most odd place and we don't know how because he places them on his headset stand after use. These are too expensive to break for no reason.

Cracks, Eventually Will Break
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a few months, you will start to notice cracks where the headband meets the earpieces. Eventually, they'll completely break off. The sound and comfort are nice, but they do not last. This was my 3rd and last round with Turtle Beaches and it's the same issue. Time to try something else.

Great Heaset!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset! This is my first wireless headset but I can tell it is high quality. Honestly the only bad thing I can say about it is that if you wear glasses it puts a bit of pressure on your ears if you play for too long which can be uncomfortable. Other than that I love them especially the flip up to mute microphone

Good Price, But Not Ready For Market
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few years ago, my wife gifted me the incredibly expensive Turtle Beach Elite 800X Headset. I was thrilled by her generosity and was excited to have a fancy wireless gaming headset - but, I had several problems with the device. I ended up receiving a replacement from Turtle Beach, but the problems continued. Due to the issues with the Elite 800X, I was relieved to see that Turtle Beach had developed the Stealth 700 Generation 2 just in time for the launch of the Xbox Series S & X (which I was lucky enough to pre-order). Many of my complaints (regarding headset features) have been addressed with the Stealth 700 Gen 2, but unfortunately Turtle Beach continues to struggle to produce a headset that simply works as intended. The first major issue is that the headset is not recognized by their Mobile Application - even when the phone is already paired and receiving audio. Because it cannot pair with the app, none of the audio or button customization is possible. I worked with Turtle Beach Support and verified that all software, firmware, drivers, etc were up to date, but the app simply does not recognize the headset. Until this issue is fixed, the headset simply isn’t worth buying. The second major issue is that, According to Turtle Beach Technical Support - the headset is not able to function with most Windows 10 PCs without an extra adaptor. The Stealth 700 is able to pair quickly via Bluetooth, but is not able to receive audio from the PC. This is frustrating because as the new generation of Xboxes launch alongside Cloud Gaming , Microsoft brags that it will allow users to play the games they want, with who they want, on whatever device they want. That may be so, but sadly you will not be able to use the Stealth 700 G2 everywhere you can play your Xbox Games. The audio quality, the comfort, the construction, and the features are all great for the price of the Stealth 700 Gen 2, but I cannot recommend buying them until Turtle Beach is able to ensure that their Mobile App recognizes the headset correctly. Pros: + Connects to the Xbox One & Series S / X wirelessly without the need for a docking station. + Audibly annonces battery level when powering up. + Automatically powers on the Xbox when turned on. + Pairs with two devices simultaneously. + Microphone quickly mutes by folding out of the way. + Audible feedback plays to inform the user that the microphone has truly muted. + Works great for taking phone calls, even in the middle of gaming. + Quality construction which feels solid and well built. + Pairs wirelessly without the need for a docking station + Earcups are made with cooling gel and memory foam. + Earcups have cutouts to make room for the arms of glasses. Greatly improves comfort. + Earcups pivot outwards so the headphones lie flat. + Charges via USB C. + Headband adjusts smoothly without clicking through pre-set notches. + Headband is reinforced with metal. + Battery lasts nearly 20 hours. + Uses physical buttons (instead of the touch buttons on previous models). + Physical buttons can answer calls, pause, change track, and trigger phone’s virtual assistant. CONS: - Cannot connect to Turtle Beach App (which limits intended functionality) - Cannot connect to a Windows 10 PC without an adapter (sold separately) - Microphone is not adjustable - Mic Monitoring is not adjustable without the Turtle Beach App (which currently does not recognize the Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset). - Chat & Game Volumes are not able to be adjusted independently without the Turtle Beach App (which currently does not recognize the Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset). - No Active Noise Cancelation - No 3.5 mm input - Ear cup opening is small / tight - Ear cups are not easily removable (not held in place by magnets like many other gaming headsets) - Ear cups do not muffle out much ambient noise - Volume Knobs do not work with cell phones - Headset does not fold up (for travel) - No travel bag or case included - Turtle Beach does not have a PC version of the Mobile App. The Turtle Beach PC Software can update device firmware, but it cannot adjust any of the controls featured in the Mobile App. - Turtle Beach Support is lacking. It doesn’t feel as though they truly care enough to follow through until a problem is actually fixed. - Due to COVID-19, customer support is very slow in responding to inquiries.

Poor quality materials
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall sound of the headphones is great. My issue is with the quality. Over a few months the leather material on the cushion untucked leaving the sponge exposed. The mesh on the inside of the speaker halfway came out as well. My last complaint is one day I was using the headset and while taking it off of of the sides cracked and I had to super glue it for it to be used.

Broke after 6 months
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones perform flawlessly and are very clear. But after 6 months of use, one earphone snapped off. Weird. I treated them like gold but they still broke while they were just on my head. I never dropped them and they went on a headphone stand after use. We’ll see how turtle beach does on replacing them. I really liked the set but am skeptical now or was it just a freak occurrence. Idk

Great sound .. but they break, not so good plastic
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.definitely a great gaming headset, except for that part of "a heavy-duty construction ensuring long-lasting durability". Today, my son's headset broke. I attach images. Comments left on Youtube videos showing "how to fix" this problem, show that it is a very common problem. Only one year and 10 days of use. This is the second headset, the previous one had the same fate, same problem, different model though, it was a STEALTH 600. I have contacted TB to see if they can validate the guarantee, even if it is 10 days late.

Poor Re-work Save Your Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these over priced, cheaply made headsets, I had the previous version the Turtle Beach - Stealth™ 700 (gen 1) since right it came out. This Turtle Beach - Stealth™ 700 Gen 2 however is the biggest waste of money I have seen yet, Cons. 1. The ear muffs pop off the turn-in-place head if you have a large head. 2. the range on these is these horrid, ( my kitchen is 10' from my game room) And i loose signal, 3. $164.99 after taxes and they look like the this just a couple of months, The finish is coming off mine, and the left ear is coming off. 4. Windows Sonic is one of the few sound drivers that works with these headphones. 5. Low Sound Quality. 6. 2-Year Accidental Geek Squad Replacement was not bought because I was buying 2 of these, so now with out it Best buy will not touch them. Pros. 1. Felt great before they broke. 2. Button placement works great, easy to use.
