Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Stealth 700 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset. Many also praise its wireless functionality and generally good battery life, while some find the price reasonable for the features offered. However, a recurring concern involves inconsistent connection stability and lower-than-desired maximum volume levels.

Theyre great headphones, you need to download the app and update them on their website to get better sound. The mic mutes when you fold it backwards which is nice. Also you can enable pass through noise which i like. Cons -Hurts the top of my head after about 30 min -black stuff comes off onto my ears every time i use them -could be louder -some people complain my mic sounds very bad

I've had this a month and use it almost daily. It connects quickly with my Xbox One and I have never lost a connection. The sound booms and the headset is comfortable to wear. I hardly ever use the enhanced sound to hear the footsteps in games but it seems to work okay. It appears to just take out the base and ups the treble. I like that there are zero wires. Nothing to the handset and nothing to the Xbox. Occasionally I use the Bluetooth connection which works well with my Note 8. It does decrease the battery life but I just don't use it that much. I like that it's there if I want it. Standard battery life is good. It all depends on how much you use it. I only use it for gaming and not for watching YouTube. Therefore I get several days out of it before I have to recharge. You can also recharge while you are wearing it.

My husband and three grown sons are all gamers, so we've had quite a few pairs of gaming headphones over the past 15 years for every model of PlayStation and X Box, as well as PC. You get what you pay for. Cheap headphones, cheap quality that doesn't last. The Turtle Beach are the way to go. Good sound and quality that will last more than a few months. Pricier than your average set but I'd say worth it.

So far I’m really happy with these headphones. They have great sound, and going wireless takes away the hassle of being tethered to a controller. *I had to review the setup instructions on the Turtle Beach website, as they were slightly different than what came in the box. Also, pay attention to the required settings on your actual XBox unit. **The Turtle Beach app is easy to use, and shows remaining battery life of the headphones while you’re using them.

Yes, they are very comfortable headphones, and yes the sound is amazing...you can hear everything in games and not a lot of background noise-there's a reason these are so popular. However, we have had to replace 2 in less than a year due to quirky issues we've had with them...anything from not being able to keep the blue-tooth connected to the most recent pair which won't stay on(These are adult owned and not constantly used either, and my husband is very tech savvy and has tried all the tricks, and the resetting which should fix most issues). The worst part is we bought the two year warranty plan but have had a set of non working headphones for months that we cannot exchange because Best Buy (store and online) has been out of them, and nobody can say when they may get back in stock. We can't even get a refund since our local store is still not open, so we are stuck with a non working headset. If we ever have to purchase outright another headset, it will not be these. For as much as these cost, they should work great for way more than 6 months.

I had moved away from Turtle Beach for a while due to some past issues but this headset isn't too shabby. I love the fact that it's completely wireless. No cord even needed between the headset and controller. They do seem a bit flimsy so the 2 year warranty may not be a bad idea. Sound is really good as well. There is a phone and computer app where you can change the sound setting to your liking as well. Hope this helps someone out.

It's nice that its wireless and the battery has decent life. But the sound isn't great. Also have a small issue where sometimes I have to reset the headset to be heard correctly. Wouldn't purchase this for super competitive game play. But if you're looking for just a very super basic wireless option this would be good for you.

I tried on the Stealth 700 and 600 and comfort-wise the 700 are much better. The sound quality is great. Pairing with the Xbox controller is easy and it's nice not having a cord.

This headset had some flaws at first so I held it for a few weeks until it was fixed. Turtle Beaxh was quick to do a formal ware update but I think the negative reviews hurt these headsets. They sound amazing and love how I can adjust the settings on my phone and take calls or listen to music. No USB adapter needed.

It's a great head set and the app adds some pluses with things like fine tuning. Only reason its not getting five stars would give 4.5 but can't but its because when I'm on my couch I like to watch movies with my headset on mostly laying down and if I move my head wrong it will lose connection and has to sinc back up. Other than that no other problems when sitting up and gaming.

I love this headset, sound is superior and very comfortable around the ears. Out of the box you can feel its a quality, for a $70 price tag i thought was good. you need to download the app to begin to update the controller. you can pair this controller via Bluetooth to your cell phone, while playing on your Xbox at the same time. when someone calls you just answer the call and the headset switches to the call. the app allows you to adjust the volume and mic settings. some problems i found is pairing to the Xbox sometimes can be tricky, the buttons are a soft touch without a click which i do not like and when the charge battery depletes and you put the charging lead on you sometimes lose connection and is a pain to reconnect. if the lead is connected you get red flashing light to a stable red light when it has connected, without the charging lead you get a red flashing light to stable green when connected. The distance you can use the headset away from the Xbox is about 10ft or so but you may hear the Xbox but your mic voice will be mumbled. overall good headset for the price , i use everyday and its held up well, comfortable not too heavy and great sound, little fiddly with the controls and setup.

I bought this for my PC. It was awesome and all i had to do was purchase the xbox usb wireless adapter for $25. I purchased another wireless headset for $30 less. Though it was good, It did not meet my expectations. This is my 3rd turtle beach headset and I'm always impressed with their product. Sound is clear and crisp, loud footstep feature is great, and the volume controls helps you find the perfect level within a few seconds at the touch of your fingers. I really like the bluetooth feature and how you can mute the microphone by flipping the mic back to its stationary position.

upgraded from the 600 steath and am please with the better sound and comfort. The do get hot over time since with have a leather like material vs the mesh on the 600. Build quality is slightly better but for the money worth checking out the artics. Has a set as well but I could not get the sound profile to my liking to save my life

I read the reviews for the headset, but went ahead and got it anyways, because of the black Friday sale, and there was some even newer firmware updates than most the reviews mentioned. All in all, when the headset works, it's great. The issue is at least once a play session either the microphone screws up, and my friends say I sound like a robot, or the incoming audio screws up and either sounds distorted or just cuts off intermittently. I think Microsoft is working with Turtle Beach and they really want the headset to work well, as it's as far as I'm aware the first Xbox Wireless headset (using the same protocol as the controllers to sync to xbox etc.). I think this because I got a message from Xbox Live saying "hey, we think you're using one of these 2 headsets (stealth 600 or 700) these get constantly better, make sure you go update the firmware" Anyways, point being, maybe some future firmware update will remove the last of my issues with it, and the headset will be great. I'm not sure I can wait for that, as it gets pretty annoying to turn off and on frequently, so may end up returning mine.
