    I’ve been buying Turtle Beach gaming headsets for eight years. This was my fifth set. Every 18 months or so, they break in the same exact spot. The cheap plastic breaks above the left ear, leaving the headset unusable. Caveat emptor! Always purchase the extended warranty with your headsets and gaming controllers. They are cheaply made and break far too easy!

    After years of using Turtle Beach headphones for gaming, I am extremely disappointed in the Stealth 700 headset and Turtle Beach. Purchased to replace an 18 month old Turtle Beach XO Seven Pro headset that just plain cracked and broke due to a very bad design and poor materials just above the left earphone. My grandson's identical XO Seven Pro headset is doing the same thing. The audio quality of the Stealth 700 is just flat horrible. Doing everything by the numbers via their instructions, to include updating their firmware with their Audio Hub app installed on my PC before use. No matter what setting you use the audio is muffled like you draped a towel over your head before putting on the headphones. And the constant droning of falsetto bass in the background is just overbearing. What a piece of junk. I've got a cheap $25 on ear headset for my phone that sounds better. As usual, another company resting on their laurels, reputation, and producing grade c junk. Between the broken XO Seven Pros and the lousy Stealth 700s, I'm done with Turtle Beach. The Plantronics RIG 800LX headphones gave me what I wanted for gaming, and they are the best performing, and most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. If your thinking about the Stealth 700s, don't bother!
