Customers appreciate the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Stealth 700 Wireless Surround Sound Gaming Headset. Many also praise its wireless functionality and generally good battery life, while some find the price reasonable for the features offered. However, a recurring concern involves inconsistent connection stability and lower-than-desired maximum volume levels.

I choose turtlebeach because of the supposed easy sync with the xbone and the sorround sound. The mic works flawlessly my friend told me is like if I am speaking right next to him. Only down side is the occasionally weakening of the sound or disconnectio(it disconnect once and the sound was weakening) even with the latest patch.

Great Headphones - dead after 12 months of use -

I loved these headphones, had them for almost a year. Bluetooth from cell phone and gamed from Xbox. I even watched Netflix and Hulu, all listening from the awesome sounding headset, since I work overnights, didn't want to wake my family.
Problems started about 3 months ago, the noise cancellation didn't cancel anymore. As along as they worked, not going to complain. Then the Bluetooth didn't connect, as long as they connected to the Xbox, I didn't care that much about the Bluetooth connections.
Last week, it finally did stop working. It would power on, then power right back on. Not connect to anything, just die right away. After paying, after taxes, almost 200.00 last year around Jan 2019, I feel that these should have lasted longer than 12 months for the price tag.

The unit is comfy and battery life last a good amount of time. Sound quality is really good and the mic is clear. ONE VERY BIG ISSUE, WONT STAY CONNECTED FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES. Unit regularly disconnects from console and reconnect on it's on. If you're in a party this will be a pain in the butt. While playing Destiny 2 the unit disconnected 17 times in 4 hours. So 17 times I had to go to the party, switch to game chat then back to party chat to get back in the group. Won't be a pleasant thing when doing raids or nightfall. Took them back the next day.

I've had some great high priced gaming head phones. I test them by watching movies and then taking them into games. The sound on these things is crisp and comes from all around you. These headphones are great with surround sound. Pretty accurate with what you hear, is where its coming from. Comfortable, easy to set up, and asking myself why i didn't get these earlier.

It's comfortable, it sounds good and the direct to xbox connection is really awesome.
When paired with Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for headphones on both xbox and the pc it's fantastic

Extremely great sound, terrible power system

I use this headset on surround always which doubles the experience and I got Dobly Atmos after a trial. The sound (mostly with Atmos) is 8-10 of a theater (obviously not as loud or bassy) they have ok surround, it's definitely not 360 but I don't think that's possible. As for the power system... utter crap, if you so much as plug it in to a pc to charge with a 3.5 cord plugged into said pc, expect a headset sounding like a taser. Once I plugged it in to a power strip usb quick charge slot while using wireless for my xbox game and my pc (I think for youtube) on Bluetooth then I used the 3.5 cable for facetime on my phone... fried, sorta... basically I can't unplug the aux cord without, guaranteed *click* and it turns off. also if the battery is low and you plug it in then the cord gets knocked, mine turns off (stays connected but no input or output) also my old turtle beach wireless headset usb dongle broke. safe to say im looking for Razer (amazing mice and keyboards btw)

I was in search for a headset so I thought might as well demo them at the local Best Buy. Just so happened their tech was in their way to fix the broken demos. I was able to get the Stealth 700's to work. So those were the ones I bought. I wanted them to be wireless and have Bluetooth. These met both of my needs. The app for your phone is fairly well. Could be better, but it works good. I love being able to pair it to my phone to play music or make calls while playing games. These are great for multi tasking. The super sonic mode for hearing footsteps works great. I was very happy I did purchase them.

I thought the reviews were fake, bought these, and returned them 20 minutes after having used them. I did do the firmware update. Connected really easy, Bluetooth is awesome while playing, super easy to connect, firmware update is through a PC but simple. I couldn't get over the ringing sound it made while connected. Thought I was going crazy and told my wife to listen to them and she heard it right away. Her response "for 150 dollars they better be good and that ringing should not be happening." So of course again like I said I returned them and was pretty disappointed. I have the turtle beach 500x series and those are awesome but after 3 years the ear dongles broke on me. Went back and bought the new plantronics 800lx.

Comfortable Headset with Major Connection Issues

Ill keep this short but sweet. I had a pair of the Stealth 420X+ and upgraded to the 700s because wireless is amazing... Yeah not so much anymore. Style and design for this headset is on POINT. Couldnt be made any better. But the major issue im having is connection issues. I will be playing a game with friends and all of a sudden my controller will disconnect then the headset. I bought a whole new controller thinking it was the controller. It wasnt its the headset. It starts breaking up and getting strange feedback then bouncing between ingame change and party chats then bam it disconnects and turns off completely. Then you have to rip the battery out of the controller to get it to reconnect.

I bought this headset with my new Xbox One and it's amazing. The sound delivers very nicely and the surround sound feature is awesome. The mic picks up my voice clearly for my teammates to hear and the ear cushions/headband are super comfy. Great headset for gaming.

Truly wireless with lack luster audio, will return

Picked these up and updated the firmware immediately on them as suggested. I will be returning these as they do not meet my standards.
Pros
1) Truly wireless with the Xbox One, was able to quickly sync them and was ready to go. The settings within the xbox are simple
2) While remembering what all the buttons do is tricky, the bluetooth app itself makes this easy. Its a bit gimmicky but works well.
3) I wore these for 3 hours with glasses and didn't have any comfort issues.
4) Automatically turn off when you turn off your xbox. That just a nice feature so you dont forget and run your battery down.
5) No issues with mic, everyone could hear me fine, the lift to mute worked great.
Cons
1) The audio isn't that great, any setting with base boost will cut out when the drivers try and push the base. They were not useable with any base setting. This was enough for me to return them itself.
2) Bulky plastic feel, holding them feels like you are holding a much cheaper set of headphones. While I dont think they are going to break they just dont feel as nice as other $150 headphones
3) Active noise canceling works ish
4) After three hours of use, xbox showed they only had 1/2 battery life left.
5) I had a bit of an eco, when I spoke I could hear myself through the speakers. Playing with the settings i was able to get it soft but never gone.

I have used them for 2 weeks now and while they are cool and the bluetooth feature is great it doesn't make up for the lack of comfort. I am a YouTuber, twitch streamer, and gamer so i wear these A LONG TIME! for a short gaming session they're fine but anything over 2 hours i'd recommend Hyperx They're only 80 dollars for a great set and they're extremely comfortable by comparison. For me comfort is a huge factor because of the amount of time I wear them a day (9 or so hours) I will be returning mine. HOWEVER, if you're a casual gamer who wants high end here's your fit. but for long sessions I don't recommend.
Pros-
wireless
bluetooth
noise reduction (its good but not much different then other headphones I've used in the past)
cons-
Comfort, like i said, its not super comfortable in general and after a few hours it starts to get REALLY unbearable.
Instruction, the instructions and the app aren't super helpful-pful and miss some important parts.
Battery, no real heads up its low. it will say "battery low" then die immediately.

Not good in high density population

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The headphones are above average in performance for the price range. Sound like Turtle Beach boomy as usual however if you live in a highly dense populated area such as a apartment complex it may not be a good option. Even with the updates the xbox built in wireless tech seems to not fair well for full audio and mic bandwidth and tends to chop into what sounds like a broken record. The tech works great for controllers and mics but I don't think it was intended to handle what Turtle Beach is trying to through at it when in a massive wifi populated area.
In a quiet place with only 1-3 routers in earshot it works really good but if you have more that 20 and all the wireless phones and everything else it falls apart really bad. The Bluetooth however works way better even in a busy train ride it never faltered for me with my music a fare distance in my pack.
Ultimately if you live in a house with router more than 5 feet away they should work great in apartments not so good, just depends on what kind of versatility you need.

Hello all,
If I didn’t want my money back I would have given this gaming headset to my dogs as a toy. But that’s besides the point.
I’m not one to write reviews however I hope that by me writing this review I can help someone avoid a bad decision like I did.
I receiving the Turtle beach Stealth 700 as a gift it’s what I asked for from my wife. Excited to plug it in and play. Soon to find out how disappointed I was. The only thing this thing has going for it would be its wireless direct connect to the Xbox.. and the dual Bluetooth to hook up to your phone to answer calls. Which is pretty cool I have to admit. And if that’s ALL you look for in a gaming headset then you have found yourself a winner.. HOWEVER for myself that was not it. You see I play a lot of FPS games and like my in game volume loud. Now I don’t need my ears bleeding but I like it loud enough. This headset can NOT deliver that. I updated the latest software from my pc, played with multiple settings tried turning up the volume via the Xbox settings on the tv, tried turning up the volume on the headset.. BOTH THE CHAT COLUME AND THE IN GAME VOLUME.. I tried literally EVERYTHING feeling defeated I went online and researched for hours only to find out that this headphone has several complaints about the in game volume and there is no fix for this...
I am not deaf... and when my wife is sitting 20ft from me and saying my name with a normal tone and I can hear her and hold a conversation with her.. even though I have the NOISE CANCELATION OPTION ON!!! Something is wrong very wrong... when I’m playing video games I like to be fully emerged into my games especially games like COD blackout where being able to pinpoint locations of enemies by footsteps is crucial. Don’t get me wrong... I could do that with this headset as long as I was in a quiet room with nobody talking.
That’s not all however, oh no I wish it was i sit very close to my Xbox no matter what setting I set the EQ at randomly grenades would go off or bass would hit in the music and I would hear distortion of the sound kinda like Blahrrrr it’s hard to explain exactly what the sound is was however it would happen frequently maybe once every 10-15 minutes. And also let’s not forget the disconnects. This headset disconnects frequently my router is 10ft from my Xbox so it’s not that. Luckily the disconnects aren’t longer than only MAYBE a second. However in a battle royal game where listening is so crucial 1 second is all you need to die.
I wanted to like this affordable wireless gaming headset so bad.
I’m giving this headset a 2 out of 5 stars due to the sound quality issues. For me the disconnects, weird noises, and in game volume not being loud enough is not enough to have made keep it.
I since then returned it and got myself a pair of Hyper X cloud Alphas and they are perfect!!! I highly recommend. Even though they are wired they have premium sound including bass, highs, mids, lows, and also the in game sound! I can no longer hear someone 20ft away talking to me when I’m gaming. premium feel, extremely comfortable, And cheaper! The hyper X Cloud Alpha is a steal for the price
Do not fall succumb to Turtle beach below average quality of gaming headsets they are literally taking money from people and releasing donkey poop for consumers. Wayyy better brands to choose from.
Including HyperX you will not be disappointed as I was with this garbage called gaming headphones.

Mediocre headset over all. My skullcandys were more comfortable, the sound is decent but not what I thought it would be. The deal breaker and reason i will be returning is anyone in my parties cant hear me unless I speak very loudly due to the rigid mic that sits way to far from your face. Also the app has next to no features. Not even worth downloading. Will return.

3 Strikes, You're out! Would not recommend!

Strike 1. Poor mic quality. Even with Mic volume all the way up, my friends have a hard time hearing me. If you could adjust the mic closer to your mouth it would resolve the issue. I wish it had the mic like the TB 400 series instead of the hard plastic, non-adjustable boom mic setup.
Strike 2. Noise in left ear is so annoying! I can hear it in my sleep now. I believe this is only in the left ear because that is where the battery is located. It is a high pitched buzz/hum noise that is impossible to ignore! There are multiple reports of this issue all over the internet.
Strike 3. Disconnects from Xbox consistently! I have yet to have it connect for longer than 10 minutes. Very frustrating in a game. I seriously thought the driver update would fix this but apparently TB still has some work to do.
**Final Verdict** The driver update did not solve any of my issues. Nor after contacting TB (who are very friendly BTW) could they provide me with any resolution to these issues at this time. This is going back right now! Would NOT recommend to anyone until they fix these issues!
