The sound is very subpar considering it is priced among the higher level Turtlebeaches out there. Upon opening it you will discover that although it is for a X ONE game and system, there are next to none instructions on the fact that you only need to plug into the controller.

i wanted to like these but I couldn't hear myself chatting with my friends so I was speaking louder than I should have. Returned them for some wireless ones, Stealth 500's from Turtle Beach.

Needs a mic monitor and the sound gets muffled or muted on occasion, which requires either a rep lug or system restart to resolve.

Can't talk in private parties on Xbox 360. Very disappointed with that. Made the purchase a waste 50% of the time.

When one is use to the 7.1 surround of other turtle beaches, these headphones are not so good. The hardware also is useless for the new xbox one. Research before you buy, this is one of those products that might not meet your needs.

If you still game on both systems and/or the pc than this is the right choice over the XO Four. I was concerned that there are no sound adjustments like the X500 series but the bass is deep and audio overall is good. I had to replace my XP500 because of the audio drops and constant static and popping. Whatever interference issues the other set had has been fixed with the new design. There is no longer a transmitter box to plug into. You simply plug your headset into the provided adapter which plugs into your controller. The only downside to the headset is the large amount of wires necessary when hooking up to a 360. You also need the 360 adapter that has the rca inputs. I think the 360 comes with it. The audio output wires are much longer than the USB connection which is baffling considering they are hooking into the same device. I hooked up the headset to my cell phone with the cable and was able to talk while the phone was in my pocket. It makes for a nice hands free device if you get a call but need to do something while talking. Overall it is a good, versatile headset with clear audio and good bass. If you do not plan on using them for the 360 or pc also then save the 50 bucks and buy the XO Four.

Can take some getting used to

I was really excited to pick these up. The artwork on them looks great and they can be used for multiple systems. I use a pair of PX5's for my xbox 360. I love them, so I had no hesitation trying turtle beach again for xbox one. Headset was super easy to set up. Controller updates took all of 2 minutes if that. I noticed when I put them on that they seemed a bit tight and rigid. Could feel the pressure on my head. I decided to play with them a bit and see what happens instead of returning them right away. The more I played with them the less I noticed the pressure. I don't know if they were loosening up or if I was just getting used to them. After putting some hours into them after a few days I now think they are for the most part comfortable. The sound is great with these. Some complained of popping and crackling. I didn't notice much of this. Sometimes rarely while playing COD. I didn't notice it at all playing Battlefield, PvZ, and Titanfall. Unfortunately the microphone doesn't come with a foam cover. It can make you sound robotic. It's an easy fix if you have an extra cover or you are like me and just don't care. Overall I like this headset. They take some getting used to. After that breaking in period they are great.

Loved the Atlas right away, the earpiece fits over entire ear and the breathable fabric doesn't get hot and stays comfortable for even long gaming sessions, I forgot I had them on one night while watching a movie. There are two spots that kept me from 5 stars. 1. The microphone sits right in front of my mouth so when i talk the air pressure causes distortion even at low volumes. any higher an its in my line of sight, any lower and the air from normal breathing picks up. 2. The PC/360 adapter can detach from the headset, but the 3.5 mm plug is seated so far into the adapter that it is almost impossible to pull out without inevitably pulling on the cord itself.. this has caused a break wire and sometimes causes excessive static. To be fair, I have had these for like 2 years before that happened.

Great headphones including the sounds, they are lightweight and comfortable and the designs and colors are amazing. The downside of them is when you play for hours, the headphones can become uncomfortable on your ears but that's nothing major but overall, they are great

I love this headset. It has amazing sound quality. Sounds like you have a hole surround sound on your head. It is a little hard to hook up. I plugged everything in and on Titanfall I could hear people but they could not hear me I had to go into the setting of my xbox one and fix somethings with the kinect but I fixed it. Also a tip that works if you turn on the xbox one by the controller and not the xbox one console it self it always works.

I already own a pair of Astro A50's but I have tried out the various turtle Beach X1 exclusive headsets so I wanted to give my thoughts on the Atlas. First off is that the Atlas is the most versatile offering as it can also be used on the 360 where the XO Four & XO Seven cannot. The Atlas looks very nice however it essentially is the XO Four at a higher price point. They are the same headset however the XO Four has a little more padding on the top of the headset so to me it is a better value if you do not need the headset to work on the 360 as well. Sound wise the Atlas does quite well as everything sounds crisp and voice chat is crystal clear. Similar to the XO Four, I found the Atlas very uncomfortable as it clamps onto your head very tightly. Granted they may loosen up over time but I personally would spend the extra cash and get the XO Sevens as they are more comfortable and sound better than either the XO Four or Atlas.

Gotta say I love these... Now, I do not have a surround sound And my sound has only been coming from my tv and previously I had the regular xbox one headset .. This is a huge improvement to both game/tv sound and chat... They are very comfortable.. And I play a lot usually for 5 to 6 hours straight... Only downfall if I had to pick any ,is that indeed is hard to hear yourself and I tend to overcompensate by raising my voice. When I watch a movie with my xbox one I can really hear every detail in any movie...

Not the best sound quality but the headset really looks awesome especially if paired with the XBox One Titanfall controller. It looks really nice and good thing it comes with lots of cords so you can use it with XBox One, XBox 360 and PC.

    Great Headset

I bought this headset because this is the first time I've actually needed one for an online game outside of the PC realm. Easy to setup for XBox One - love the free adapter that it came with. Surprised to see that a controller needed a firmware update. As for the actual sound, it's terrific. Haven't had any echoing or crackling during live play, Skype, TV use. However, when I used the "XBox record that" command - there was a bit of initial crackling and "tearing" until the recording app buffered up and scaled with the gameplay. Other than that, it's a great headset. I'm sure this is something that will be fixed with an App update! Only downside is that a wind screen was not included - so I sounded metallicy and robotic to my friends. Luckily, I had an extra lying around and it fixed the problem!

This is my first set of Turtle Beach headsets that i purchased. I was trying to decide on this Titanfall Headset, theXO Four, XO Seven and the Polk Audio 4 shot. I selected the Titanfall Headset because it could be used on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One and because Best Buy offered an additional savings when you purchased them w/ the game. I believe I expected to much out of this headset for the $149 price tag. The sound did not blow me away like I thought and I wore them for many many hours 2 days in a row and they still felt so tight and uncomfortable on my head. Maybe, because Ive spoiled myself w/ the comfort of the Beats headsets. I expected to hear 5.1 surround sound out of the Titanfall Headset and it didn't sound that way. The XO Seven from what I hear may have been a better choice. The 4shot by Polk Audio is another option too. Overall, in my opinion, I would check out other headsets first. These don't feel like they are worth the price tag at this time.
