I have read a few below average reviews of this show, but I had the opportunity to buy the Blu-ray version when it was on sale at Best Buy, and I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. A couple of friends and I watched it, and we are not disappointed. This isn't "I, Claudius", but the production value is much higher. They put a lot of money into this – the location, the costume, and I thought the script was very good, too. Ben Kingsley did a great job, (his character is very manipulating) and I really like Avan Jogia, as well (he played the main character – a naïve, young, and good-looking king.) If you like costume melodrama, this is an enjoyable, better than average show.

While there have been numerous miniseries and other historical presentations done to date, the TUT series had a strong focus on bringing to life the various aspects of the times and events of King TUT. Historical accuracy and a deeper look into the family and person himself was a key focus. A super cast made it call come together.

I loved this mini series. The acting was superb and I felt like the actors fit their roles perfectly. I know there are some historical inaccuracies, but overall it is a decent series. I was really surprised to learn that the series was produced by SpikeTV,

The Boy King of the eighteenth dynasty of Egypt. Lots of action, good locations. Featuring Oscar winning actor Ben Kingsley. The Best Buy edition comes in a nice steel box. With bonus features. A great buy.

Great 3 disks of King Tut’s life and adventures, Very interesting

This has nothing to do with the real life of Tutankhamen; however, what's the difference. The m ovbie was spectacular, kept my interest, and it told a great story, even if it has npthing based on fact.

This takes another point of view on Tut's life and death. I have always been fascinated by his story, so I was happy to find this at my local store.

From the start, the film draws you into a time full of wonder. The cinematography is superb and the screenplay is marvelous! Glad I purchased this set.

Good but not great Verg good sets, costumes, and Ben Kingsley. Other performances were satisfactorily but not notable. A few plot holes. Rare period piece.

My wife has not had time to watch this yet. We are in the process of having a house built, and it is taking up most of our free time.

Ben Kingsley is the best actor: he makes this great. I love shows about the past Egyptian culture. Fascinating!

I have only seen previews of the show, and thought it looked pretty good. Upon seeing this steelbook I had to grab it.

Tut was eye popping. The visual effects are awesome. Ben Kingsley was also his great self. Definitely enjoyed this.

blu ray picks up all of the details really well.... anyone interested in ancient history will enjoy this

I really enjoyed this series from Spike. It gave a very non-traditional view of the famous King Tut.
