Get Best Buy Total Tech Support. Then get a calibration. You will be glad you did and you will save about $200.00 off what you would normally pay for a calibration. Both are highly worth it. Especially so if you are unfortunate enough to have issues with any of your high dollar electronics.

I have had a TV professionally calibrated, but always wanted. The Technician and quality of the service was perfect. Had the service performed in Samsungs flagship 4K tv Q90R. Great TV out of box, but calibration truly made it shine. Advantages: 1) Gain 2 extra preset mode for Calibration-day & Calibration-night 2) blacks blacker and noise free 3) whites uncrushed 4) blue perfectly saturated 5) reds much less saturated and natural 6) more quality detail across all sources Thanks Geek Squad!

Michael did a great job calibrating he picture on my Sony and my Panasonic big screen TV's. It made a big difference from the factory setting. He took the time to showed me the picture differences, all the data results from before and after the calibration and took the time to explain exactly what the factory setting we set that way, and why they should be reset in the home setting. Using the Total Tech Plan made this an easy and worthwhile decision. As always, Michael left his number for any question I might have after he left!

I purchased a 85 inch Sony TV and I wanted to see the difference between Sony's default color gamut piture versus a professional calibration. The calibration took about 45 min. I have to admit the Geek Squad did a great job! Netflix is already calibrated for Some high end TVs specially the Sony with the Xtreme X1 processor. But movie now look amazing specially when viewed in 4k HDR. Totally worth it if you are a movie aficionado like me!

It is not simply a matter that the Geek Squad member calibrated the TV, he explained what he was doing; we discussed the best calibration for the TV's location; we talked about why those settings were best and how those changes brought out the best in the product. A Smart TV is a full featured product and serves many purposes for us. Getting a pro to discuss the why as well as show how is worth every penny.

i was pleasantly surprised at the difference the calibration made to our Samsung TV. The differences are minor, but once you get used to the subtle differences it's pretty amazing. The Technician that came to our house to do the calibration was very professional and 'knew his stuff' about the intricacies of the calibration set up and was exceptional when it came time for the Tech to explain to us what he did during the calibration process. Thank you!

Agent called to confirm appointment. Asked about tv advised we needed to wait to have calibration. Rescheduled appointment for us. While doing calibration, he explained what he was doing and also helped us understand our total tech support package. Very knowledgable and friendly. Did not push anything on us but made sure we knew all benefits of our purchase. Calibration made beautiful picture on television. We will absolutely use his services on our other TVs.

i bought the samsung suhd js8500 i used the disney wow disk to do my own calibration. i thought i did a good job until i had this done and wow well worth it.

This is the second time I have had the Geek Squad calibrate one of my TV's. Even though I just purchased one of the best picture TV's on the market, Geek Squad's calibration made it look even better. This is a service that is worth doing. It was nice when it was free being an elite plus member, but when the price became less than half, it made it worth it. I think the regular price is high for this service. But the results are amazing.

Although it took a long time the agent was extremely thorough and knew exactly what the issues were. He was courteous and solved the problems to my expectations. I am back on track and my equipment now functions the way I want.

*Disclaimer, I am an employee and recieved a discount The above being stated, I personally do think its worth the money. Should it be a tad cheaper? Sure. This doesnt mean its not worth it. It really made my movies that much more enjoyable to watch. Colors are deeper and more accurate. Dark scenes are way easier to see (especially on my oled.) If you want to see the difference, watch starship troopers 4k before and after....just wow. Its like I am actually fighting the bugs myself.

Got my Sony 950G calibrated. I did not like the final calibration settings, but after some tweaking of the motion settings, it looked great. Did not like that the installer wasn't super knowledgeable as he put a lot of things in auto.

First off let me start by say that the agent that came out was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. My issue if any is that the calibration was only for HD (1080p) and not for 4K or UHD. I have an OLED and most of if not all the content I tend to wat h is in 4k as i watch show through the TV apps. It completely defeats the purpose if the Dolby Vision or higher resolution overrides the calibration. I'm happy that some content is only in HD and it is nice but I was expecting to get the most out of my TV

The result of my Geek's work was excellent. The scheduling for my work was a circus--no call to schedule. Service was in the system as delivered via email. Be sure to follow-up with schedulers or you might never seek a Geek.

Here’s the deal. Art W. from Geek Squad is very very good at what he does. My new Samsung was calibrated today, and what I’m looking at is nothing short of amazing. Best picture I have ever had, and strikingly better than right out of the box. I could play and adjust for a week and not come close to what I am seeing! Thanks Art. A quality television picture is only as good as its calibrator. Job well done!

I schedualed the appointment a month in advance.Two days before the appointment Geek squad called to tell me I had to reschedule because the sales agent on the phone put in the wrong sku #.So I then had to miss another day from work which is more money lost.The day arrived for the tv calibration which was a snowing day but the tech managed to still make the appointment which was great.The tech was courteous and seemed to know what he was doing which is also good.He adjusted the colors in the two point and the ten point schemes but no other adjustments like the motion blur or any of the other twenty or so settings,maybe he doesn't have to I'm not sure.After he was done the color in the picture looked pretty good but after a half hour of watching I could notice more picture blur on fast scenes.So a few days past and I'm looking for the email where they are supposed to send you the precalibration and post calibration settings and nothing ever came.When I called Geek squad they said they don't send emails that I was misinformed and had a supervisor next to her to confirm it.After the phone call I looked back on line and found in plain view on Bestbuy web site that they do send you a report.I called the next day to tell them and they said it's the techs discretion if they want to send it and they will reach out to him too see.I would hear from them within 24 hours.Two days later and nothing yet.Called again this time they put notes in my file and said they would call the tech again to give it another 24 hours and see.Its Friday now so I'll give it this weekend and see

The Geek Squad were extremely helpful in restoring the TV so that it would work properly. They made sure everything I needed to know was explained thoroughly. I live in an Assisted living facility. I have Aphasia and can't speak and articulate what I need to communicate, but the Geek Squad took the time to understand me and explained anything I needed to know about my TV and service. The calibration was outstanding although it wasn’t for me. The colors were perfect but, I like a more vibrant look for the different colors. The colors from the calibration was more natural than the regular tv colors but, they did look great. Willie the tech was great. He even came back to make changes so that I was completely happy. He said that he just wanted me to be happy.

Right before he left I put in a 4k HDR blue ray and the default mode changed so he calibrated that mode. I realized after he left that my 2 4k 3k LG TVs have multiple modes including Dolby Vision... There are separate settings for these modes and the tech should have optimized all of them. I've been waiting for the personal evaluation he says I was too fill out but never got one so hopefully this public review causes Best Buy and Geek Squad to send a technician to finish calibrating my TV's. The 4k HDR setting on my 55 LG OLED looks spectacular and I highly recommend calibration, the detail is amazing!

After several weeks of dragging their feet, Geek Squad was instrumental in getting new TV to replace the lemon TV initially installed. We are very grateful to Brad (Yorba Linda store) for leading the effort. The team who installed replacement TV were courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The recovery of service has restored our faith in the ability of Best Buy to stand behind the products they sell.
