In the box is two manicure blocks. When you open the package, both blocks are wrapped in plastic and then each block is wrapped in its own plastic. This is excellent for storing in your manicure kit or in your purse or shower kit. You don’t have to worry about acetone or shampoo or conditioner getting on the block. The block is labeled with a number and what it does, so first time users will be able to recognize what each side does. This is very helpful for me because when I am on the go or in a hurry, I just look for the number I need instead of trying to read each side. I am in love with the file side. Not only is it good for filing down the lines on my nail bed but I constantly chip my natural nails and the metal nail files in the travel nail kits never file the nail the way that I want it to. I will definitely purchase more of these for the car and my purse and my desk at work and home, so that I can just grab it when I need it; since I am trying to wear my nails naturally now that there are so many good products out there now that allow me have color on my nails without painting them. The other 3 sides are good as well. The shine from side 4 has lasted a couple of days now from hand washing dishes and showers and my nails are so smooth. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family and I definitely plan to purchase more in the future.

Tweezerman has made an excellent easy to follow 4 step nail block system so you can achieve professionally manicured nails in the privacy of your own home. No need to wear a mask or be uncomfortable waiting in a salon for extended periods of time. Maybe, you just want something quick you can do at home to make a difference. These blocks simply work, but remember this - you are your nail tech, so individual results may vary. You get back what you put in regarding time and results. In my experience, I found it reasonably simple to use to go from FILE, BUFF, SMOOTH, and SHINE. They are numbered, so you can't mess up. The shine looks like a clear coat was applied, but it is my actual nail! Going on one week and the shine is still there. I highly recommend this set of blocks to anyone who wants to have nice nails.

Selecting the Tweezerman Nail Buffer Block appealed to me as someone who only in the last few years started getting Manicures (maybe once every month or two). I've seen similar blocks used by the nail technicians, but never understood what purpose they served. I was very happy to see these appeared to be super easy to use, each precision buffer block has 4 numbered sides, first you use one side to file down the nails, the next side is for buffing them, the third side is for smoothing, and the last gives the nails a shine, My nails definitely had a shine (like glass) when I was done with all four steps, and looked better overall than before I used it. It's possible this might help me save money by having fewer manicures, and save me time. The one concern I had about quality, is i did see the edges start to separate from the block after a couple uses, but it did not break and at this price I am not concerned with how long they last.

I swear by these nail buffer blocks. Usually I get mine at a local department store, just a generic brand, but I was interested in giving these Tweezerman ones a try. They just do what they’re designed to - file, buff, smooth, and shine your nails. Simply follow the directions going around all the sides - 1,2,3,4 - in order. What I like to do is use the nail buffer block after I’ve clipped my fingernails, giving them a final smoothing out and getting that polished shine. Nice enough to leave ‘as is’, without any nail polish. These are also good for your pre-nail polishing routine. In that, it readies the nails in preparation of painting them. The price for a pack of two is a good value. I can wholeheartedly recommend!

Not normally something I would use, but the girlfriend was complaining about my nails :-) Honestly, this is very easy to use. The four different edges are numbered and the size of the block is easy to hold. If you are a guy like me who usually never does more than just cut his nails, you will like this simple "upgrade" for your nails.

The Tweezerman - Nail Buffer Blocks - Multicolor nail care product is a simple, effective and elegant solution to it's target need: how to do a good job of filing, buffering, smoothing and shining you nails. As a guy, this honestly isn't a top priority for me, yet I totally enjoyed using it. So, I asked my wife to review it: "I stole my husband’s tweezerman buffer. (Who knew he could walk into Best Buy and emerge with a computer AND a grooming kit?) I had post fake nail syndrome x 10: rough, yellowed, chippy nails. I, for once, followed directions, or rather, the numbers on the buffing cube, and ta-da! My nails look as glossy as the cover of a Best Buy catalogue! Good job. Now, next time he goes into Best Buy for a flat-screen TV, I’m gonna expect him to come out with an elbow and knee smoother." I think that about sums it up!

This buffer block has everything I need for my nails! It comes with a file, buffer, smoother, and shiner all in one. I actually have gel nails (done at a salon) and I wasn't sure if this was going to work for my nails but it is a perfect nail refresher especially when my nails get dull in color and I don't want to visit the salon every single week. Plus, this block has all the options numbered so you know what to do next if you're unsure: file - buff - smooth - shine. Highly recommended no matter if you have gel, acrylic, dip powder, or just natural nails. This thing works!

I have a bad anxious habit of biting and thus my nails always look mangled and chewed. I keep one of these at work and one by my couch at home, the two places I bite the most, and I use the blocks now to relieve my anxious energy and my nails look healthy for once. Just follow the steps 1-4 of the block and boom, shiny healthy even looking nails with no edges to bite off. Trimming with clippers is great too but they can leave sharp edges so being able to buff them down and shine things up has definitely helped the appearance of having healthy nails.

I like this file, but I do not love it. It is a very convenient size in that it fits nicely in your hand and isn't too bulky, and having several different grits on one block is also quite handy. The size and the multi-tool nature makes this great for travel, especially for those who like to have nicely manicured nails or do dip applications etc. Additionally, the flexibility is an added bonus for buffing and shining. There are a couple of things that could be improved, however. Firstly, knowing the grit of the file and shaping sections would be nice. Secondly, while the size of the block is convenient, I think it would be better if the sides were all the same size/shape. It makes it awkward to hold for some applications and not for others, whereas uniform sizes would be more convenient. Overall, this is a really good buffing block that's good in several situations, and the fact that two come in a pack is a great deal.

Tweezerman - Nail Buffer Blocks - Multicolor works extremely well. They can actually replace the need to spend money for a professional manicure. Having the ability to file , buff, smooth, and shine my nails gives me everything necessary for healthy looking nails. The color coded buffer pads give a mental note for usage. These Tweezerman - Nail Buffer Blocks - Multicolor are great for me.

I like the buffer blocks. I’ve used blocks like these before that take the sanding top all the way to the corner which will eat up my skin. I like these that they have that notch at each corner. It’s more comfortable this way. The buffer just works and doesn’t get worn out too quickly.

I have the black one not the multi color. It comes with 2 blocks. It works well but I do wish the File block was more coarse so that it works quicker. But the other blocks, buff, smooth and shine all work very well. But it's so small, it's easy to take on the go. A clear carrying case would be a nice addition but that would bring the cost up. It's all worth it and glad I have it.

I like to treat myself to a professional mani-pedi on occasion. In between it’s DYI. Now, with these Buffer Blocks from Tweezerman that job has gotten easier! While they may not clip, they do everything else. Filing, buffing, smoothing, and polishing are all done with a single block. Each of the 4 sides of block is clearly labeled to identify its use. After clipping or any other time you want a “clean up” on your nails, a few moments with your Tweezerman completes the job. I love it!

The answer is YES! The Tweezerman nail buffer block is something everyone should have in their personal care kit. No more worrying about having a separate emery board and nail file. Easy to hold, works great for filing and shaping. The roughest side can remove quite a bit of nail material, even better than a file I think. with the buffing side, nails shine like you had a professional manicure. Definitely recommend.

Exactly as advertised, the Tweezerman Nail Buffer Blocks work great. My wife was able to use this to file, buff and shine her nails without having to use any other tools or chemicals such as clear coat or polish. She commented that it was comfortable to hold and use and seems like it will last her a while. She definitely recommends them!

These blocks are decent. They do work well and you can get a very smooth nice finish that looks like a shiny clear coat without having to actually use nail polish. They work well enough, but as a matter of personal preference I think the longer skinnier blocks are just a bit easier to use. Its easy to catch the edge of the block when trying to get harder to reach parts of your nail. I'm sure it gets easier as you get use to the blocks, but skinnier blocks just seem easier to use. The material quality seems a bit flimsier than I expected , but time will tell if that is true or not. Not a big enough deal to worry too much about at this price point.

I love simple products and tools. Each side of this block is labeled with a number. Follow the numbers in order and you end up with beautiful nails. No frills, no fuss, no confusion over which side you're supposed to be using. Love it.

This block goes from pretty aggressive to very smooth and left my nails feeling very smooth and looking very polished. Exactly what I needed it to do.
