First off, I'm a big Gregory Peck fan. So this movie did not disappoint. For being a classic older movie, I thought the Blu-ray high definition was excellent. If you're an older movie buff and like the WWII genre, I think you'll like this a lot.

I had not seen this film in high definition before and was amazed at the transfer. Great writing and performances. Truly a WWII era classic that everyone should see.

One of Gregory Pecks greatest movies. He plays the commanding officer of a bombing group that needs to be whipped into shape. A great training film for leadership roles.

Released just 4 years after WWII, this film does a great job of realistically showing the real-life impacts of the stress of combat and the loss of friends. Not your typical gung-ho military flick.

A classic war movie with an outstanding cast. The audio track really brings out the action. It is filmed in black and white but you don't mind watching it because it is such a get story.

While the movie and actors are fantastic as always I was really disappointed in the quality of the transfer to Blu Ray. It should have been cleaned up on the picture quality. The sound is great but the picture kind of grainy. I really expected more. If I knew that the picture would be like this I would have just purchased the regular format. I really do not feel that I expected too much. I have seen this movie clearer on TCM

I have always loved this movie as it focused on the tragedy of war and not the war itself.

I am updating to blu ray. one of the great all time movies to have in your collection.
