First off, I'm a big Gregory Peck fan. So this movie did not disappoint. For being a classic older movie, I thought the Blu-ray high definition was excellent. If you're an older movie buff and like the WWII genre, I think you'll like this a lot.

I had not seen this film in high definition before and was amazed at the transfer. Great writing and performances. Truly a WWII era classic that everyone should see.

One of Gregory Pecks greatest movies. He plays the commanding officer of a bombing group that needs to be whipped into shape. A great training film for leadership roles.

Another classic WW2 era movie plenty of strong characters and great storyline. This bluray upgrade make the movie look more detailed, so keeps even movie buffs that have seen movie before interested.

A classic! This is the story of a hard-as-nails general that takes over a bomber unit suffering from low morale and whips them into fighting shape. A good and what every movie should be, entertaining film.

Story of WWII flyers in England with Peck as a brigade general leading bombing missions to destroy German industries. Outstanding performance from Peck as an too-involving commanding officer.

Released just 4 years after WWII, this film does a great job of realistically showing the real-life impacts of the stress of combat and the loss of friends. Not your typical gung-ho military flick.

A classic war movie with an outstanding cast. The audio track really brings out the action. It is filmed in black and white but you don't mind watching it because it is such a get story.

I must admit I expected more action from this movie. It deals with the psychological effects of war and the mental impact it creates.

While the movie and actors are fantastic as always I was really disappointed in the quality of the transfer to Blu Ray. It should have been cleaned up on the picture quality. The sound is great but the picture kind of grainy. I really expected more. If I knew that the picture would be like this I would have just purchased the regular format. I really do not feel that I expected too much. I have seen this movie clearer on TCM

I have always loved this movie as it focused on the tragedy of war and not the war itself.
