Easy to set up and excellent results. I used these on my condo lanai and set up effect lists and changed the display every few days. My neighbors have loved it. Well worth the price for the outstanding results.

Makes my christmas tree so much better. Simple set up. Connects to my WIFI right away. App was well thought out. Doesn't matter how you arrange the lights on the tree. Once you mapped it, it will blink in patterns.

i started off with one set for my 7.5 ft tree.. it looked good, but I wanted to have enough lights to land a plane from space.. So, we got a 2nd set of 600... 1200 lights sounded like the perfect number, but i went with my gut and bought another 250 to put Clark W. Griswold to shame. The app is neat where you have a lot of different presets to add to your personal strands. There are more than just xmas-- you can do Halloween, Spring theme, or a US FREEDOM theme as well. Our favorite was the candycane dance theme.

Update your Firmware! The Twinkly lights are still too expensive to outfit a tree. For $65 should have bullet-proof software and have modern wifi tech. I got my sets at $39.99, but still squirmed a bit. A good sized tree would need about 8 sets @26 ft each. I chose to do a pvc square for a eindow display.

I'm an android user and I was hoping that I could control these with my android but the plus does not work with android only with IOS. Not happy

Fantastic! Control with your phone. Set each individual light. Only issue I had was not able to connect as a continuous string. But you can link more than one.

I want to give Twinkle a 5 but there is room for improvement. I love the concept and its not too expensive especially since there isn't much like this out there. The app feels a little bland and one of my lights were not working when I received them. Overall though I am so happy with them and they have made my streaming setup go from good to WOW. Make the app a little more up to date and polished and add a couple more features I can do with my lights and this is easily something I recommend people get! Also I stream on twitch at Bomezy_ so u can see them live!!!

I love this brand lights!! The patterns they make with the app are amazing! This summer I added these outside in our trees and put them on a twinkle pattern , slowed it down to look like fire flies. I have several strands and the smart xmas-tree!! The packaging is awesome too.

I bought 2 strands of 600 last Christmas for our 12’, very wide tree. 1200 lights was just enough. It looks great and is very well lit. I did have a hard time mapping the lights last Christmas but updates this year have corrected all the issues I had in the past. The app is far more functional now. This product is now worth every penny. Couldn’t be happier.

These lights are Amazing!! So many colors, sequences, editable designs, beautiful! Bright, perfect amount for a large tree.

We really enjoy playing with the app. It was surprisingly easy to set up. We’ll see how easy it is to tear it down and roll it up for storage. The only thing I don’t like about it, and why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the yellow looks green. It’s literally not capable of showing yellow, it just looks green. So as long as you’re not trying to do anything that involves yellow, you’ll be happy. In the picture I listed the colors are supposed to be yellow and red. But it looks like lime green and red.

I’ve loved LED Christmas lights since they first came out. The brightness and color gamut is so much nicer than standard Christmas lights. I saw a pre lit tree with similar lights to these and had to have them but didn’t want to spend $599 for a Christmas tree so I bought these lights instead. I’m so glad that I did. The downloadable light patterns are amazing!

Bought these to replace the trash lights on our not-so pre lot Christmas Tree. These things are fantastic with endless possibilities. A little overpriced.

I've been waiting years for philips hue to come out for my Christmas tree, until I stumbled across these. Saw these on display on a tree in a hardware store and was blown away. Exactly what I wanted. An LED that I can control with my phone, fully customizable colors and patterns. My own little light show on my tree! I will say the app itself is slightly lacking a real polish. I am able to connect to all of my Google products as well.

Think twice before a Twinkly purchase. Quality and reliability are low. Last year we purchased a $230 light string in November prior to the US Holidays. We installed the string in December and enjoyed beautiful colors through the month, then took them down and stored them carefully in a plastic container (less than 6-weeks total use). This year in the same timeframe we re-installed the lights in the same exterior location and are experiencing two defects that Twinkly has acknowledged as “Hardware Defects,” but they are unwilling to address. 1. No light section. A section of lights does not respond to the app or hardware reset, and only shows functional lights during the RGB Tests that Twinkly techs asked us to try. 2. Random colors. Sections of the strings do not respond to selected colors, showing either a similar color family, or a very light blue or white lights. Twinkly and BustBuy are unwilling to warranty our 600 light string product because we discovered and reported the problem a couple weeks beyond the stated one-year warranty – with less than 6-weeks of use. Well thanks for the support folks! Apparently we should be putting our lights up sooner in the Holiday season :( to identify hardware defects sooner. After getting a flat out sorry from BustBuy, we contacted Twinkly in Italy for a support inquiry, again being upfront about our purchase date, installation date, with all receipts and the box top. We spent nearly an hour after receiving 15 technical diagnosis steps from their support team, then provided them with no less than 12 photos of the problem and documented reset procedure as well as a requested video stepping through the factory reset process in a shared folder. Twinkly’s response was thank you, but our technology team has identified this as “hardware defect problem” that does not have a solution. I have a suggestion: either do the right thing and replace the product, or don’t sell it. Offering a 25% discount on another set is a slap in the face. On a side note, our $500 Twinkly Christmas Tree (bought at HD) is on its fourth year and the contacts between some of the sections are failing, resulting in spots without active lights on the tree. We have accepted that problem because we’ve figured out how to carefully align the fragile powered contact sections not making the finicky contact. The firmware updates and quirkiness of the app were tolerable – when the products “worked.” Absent a working product or support, we suggest avoiding Twinkly products because of their reliability and cost. We’d recommend buying throw-a-way programmable LEDs on A*zon and accept the risk of getting junk up front at a much lower price.
