Purchased the starter pack and found out from Twinkly that they are no longer making the extension packs. If you only want to light up 33 ft then the starter pack will be ok. If you need more thern 33ft wait intil the next generation of Festoon

Multiple lights went out after putting them up. I’ve had service calls in both job which cost me more time and money than I made on the jobs. Garbage. Do better Teinkly and Best Buy. Best But is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with as far as ordering and shipping of any products

Recently bought a new pack of these as over time they become yellow and brittle. The outside plastic of the bulb breaks easily at that point and replacement outside plastic bulbs aren’t available. To my shock and dismay the new pack is 3 prong instead of two, and the loghts can no longer be physically connected together to creat 40 bulbs like is advertised. So now you have to have a seperate outlet for every 20 bulbs and group them virtually. First of all if you’re familiar with twinkly power supplies the dont share normal well outless well because they are big and chunky. Next that means you need lots of outlets outside of all places. Very disappointing and the boxes nor website warn you of this change.

Love these Twinkly Festoon Lights. They are a little pricey at over $100 but I feel they're worth it. Make my backyard inviting. I bought them 12/21 and didn't put them up until 5/22 so they haven't been thru any major weather, besides extreme heat, here in San Antonio TX but they seem durable. Waiting for them to go on sale to order another string and connect them!

Bought these lights as a Christmas gift. Saw them up and working for the first time. So many great controls thru the app. Dim or brighten to help make the atmosphere match your current environment.

These are amazing to sit under in my gazebo BUT they are so dim, its still pretty hard to see what's going on in the dark.

The clips on the lights break every time you hang them. I had to use electrical tape in order to hang the lights. I have 4 sets and they all do the same thing.

Pros: Fairly heavy-duty waterproof wiring Easy to connect and set up Has its own local wi-fi connection in case you're setting it up somewhere without internet Cons: Lights stutter almost (but not quite) imperceptibly on some color transitions Lenses are not high-quality The set is heavy, meaning it requires some relatively sturdy anchors The Twinkly Festoon set of 20 RGB smart string lights will get you going with a custom lighting experience. These lights are great for hanging under covered patios, along the roofline of a house, or even indoors. They connect to your home wi-fi network and can be used with personal digital assistants like Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant. Through the Twinkly app, you can use preset and custom lighting displays with pretty much any color of the rainbow and at any brightness level, even cycling through them on a loop using a playlist. Twinkly also offers a separate music dongle that can turn your string lights into an audiovisual display by syncing light output to music. Finally, the Festoon set actually has its own ad-hoc wi-fi network, so you can use these lights anywhere there's power but no internet. You can connect directly to them using your smartphone to do any setup necessary. Bring them to that secluded cabin in the woods, or plug them into a one of those portable backup batteries and light up the night at your campsite. In general, the Festoon set works very well, with lights spaced every 21 inches or so, you get about 35 feet of wire to run around the underside of your pergola, gazebo, or wherever else you like. Once you have the lights installed and set up, you'll probably find them to work just fine. The app comes with many presets that you can customize and save using different colors and transition speeds. I have enjoyed using the Festoon set in general, but there are some drawbacks that left me feeling a little less than 100% pleased. The most important of these flaws, to my mind, is the fact that the lights stutter when transitioning between certain colors or raising and lowering brightness. It probably isn't anything someone would notice unless they were looking right at the lights, but now that I've seen it, it kinda bugs me. I can't tell if this is a problem with firmware or whether the hardware is designed this way, but the only way I can describe it is the light/color has "steps" of hue or brightness that leave the transitions looking not as smooth as they could (a set of smart RGB A19 bulbs I have does not have this problem). Another con I've noticed is the light lenses aren't all that heavy duty. They're semi-opaque, thin white plastic globes that screw into the sockets, diffusing the light and protecting the bulbs. A few of the lenses in my set already have scratches on them from being moved around and re-packed into the box. I'm not entirely worried, because my application for these will probably be stationary, but I wouldn't know where to go about getting replacements, short of contacting Twinkly support and asking them how much they'd charge to send some. It would be nice to have a couple extra on hand in case one breaks so that I don't have to worry about having bare LEDs shining out from the uncovered socket. Finally, the whole string of lights is quite heavy, so it's probably not a good idea to string them across an open outdoor area like the backyard space between a garage and the main house, unless you have some very sturdy anchors or can attach the anchors to more than one fixed place. Furthermore, if you're installing these indoors, be ready to use sturdy nails or hooks to make sure they will be held up. All-in-all, I'd recommend these lights, but only for a specific audience of people who will install them in a stationary place and treat them gently, and who won't be bothered in case the stuttering issue never goes away.

Great product, works beautifully. Would for sure buy this again. One light burned out.

The only issue was the some of thr lights rattled when we unscrewed the plastic house thr led light popped out all we had to do is align the positve and negstive rods into the correct holes
