These lights are cute and really easy to use and customize! They are bright and eye-catching, and I love how they look strewn across the living room ceiling. I can't wait to customize them for the different holidays!

I have really enjoyed these lights, I think there is one bad thing about them and really I personally don’t think it is bad, but my wife didn’t want me to replace our clear bulbs on the back porch with these because they didn’t match and weren’t clear, but too be fair, these bulbs don’t shatter when they fall, your kid grabs them, or whatever other situations so I look at this as a plus but I figured I’d mention it because if you want clear bulb ascetics, these might not be for you… Now to the important stuff. Design: These are designed to go outdoors and have the right types of plugs to make sure the connection doesn’t get water in it. The bulbs are a plastic white when off and they can be thrown around by a 2 and 5 year old without any damage. The ring mounts on top of each bulb are split, so if you have a wire string, such as an event tent, these will slot right on and off without an issue (I love this feature, sometimes a thoughtful design just speaks volumes). The button shifts through the different scenes; I honestly used the button once and then used Alexa or my phone to control it after that. App: The app has some really nice thought out features, I am reviewing this on an android it has locked up on me a few times and need to be restarted (I have a note 20) so it isn’t perfect, If I was a betting person I would guess that the apple app has less bugs but I can’t speak to that currently. It did function well enough and restarting the app wasn’t that much of a pain. But it worked and I loved being able to play with the different colors and functions. There are a few features here that if you are using them for an event would be really good to fully explore, the controller that I mentioned above is programmable with a playlist so which allows you to not worry about an app when you just need it to work. For customizing the lights you have a few options which include setting your lights up and taking a 2D or 3D picture that can allow you to customize your lights exactly how you want. This is a fun feature. For the colors there is about every color you can think of including your standard warm white if you can find it, I do wish that this was just a preset that you could select, but once I played around with it I found exactly what I wanted and saved it as an effect. Overall, I think that this light string is durable, has a well thought out design, and well thought out app. This is perfect for our front porch where the lights can change colors depending on the holiday. The other benefit is that I can easily slip these off of the wire if I need too and use them somewhere else. I love the possibilities of the colors and patterns as well as the Alexa integration. On first unboxing, I'm thinking - these are way too expensive and have too many options to just be fancy holiday lights. And that is confirmed as soon as I get them out. The wire is much heavier gauge, and you can feel the quality in the build in your hands. While Twinkly does exist in the complicated programmable holiday light space, and they're definitely good at that, these have all kinds of uses. The controller shows signs of lots of engineering; rated for outdoors, bluetooth and wifi connectivity, and SO MANY PROGRAMMABLE MODES AND OPTIONS. My only disappointment with this set is that the starter kit isn't a little bit longer. Approximately 30 feet and 20 lights just makes you want more. The good news with this starter kit is that you now have a controller to address additional bulbs, and more strings will be less expensive. If you ARE looking to take your holiday or other lights to a new dimension, this set will take you there as well. Moving beyond the app lets you record the position of each light and map colors to them in time with music and other more high end features that usually need a DIY controller and raspberry pi and home made power supplies. This is one of the most complete packages for taking you to that level I have seen in a consumer friendly format yet. For now they're going to hang over my deck for the summer and add that extra pop to my grilling space... but we'll see where they end up next December.

These lights are great, they're not super bright, but they are bright enough to give some nice romantic lighting. The lights are wonderful. They were very simple to connect to the app, there are a lot of different configurations for the lighting in the app. Really my only complaint would be that they do not come with any sort of fastener to connect to tree branches or a porch, so you'll just need to know how you wish to fasten them to where ever you are installing them.

These lights are very impressive. The quality is perfect and the lights are all perfectly the same. The hughes and brightness is all uniform. They never feel hot or dangerous to use in my home. My child actually likes them around her room. It is stylish but not overbearing or embarrassing at all to use. They are a little more costly than other lights but if you want something that will last then these are the lights to get. These are by far my favorite home lights to use.

I purchased this set July. It is April and the set is dead in the water. This is what the company wants me ro do, in order to start looking at warranty: If the light on the controller is off as well, it means this issue is due to a malfunctioning power supply, therefore replacing it everything will be fully functional again! In this regard, can you test your Twinkly's power adapter by swapping it with that of a working set (if you have one of course), or by using a multimeter? If you test it: 1. by swapping it with that of a working Twinkly product -> be careful to check on the power supply that the Ampere or A value is equal or greater (it can be 1A, 1.5A, 2.5A) 2. with a multimeter -> attach the power supply to a powered outlet, disconnect the lights from the power supply connector, insert the red test lead on the pol opositive and the black test lead on the negative pole, set the lever of the multimeter to V-DC (20-24V generally) and take a picture of the value shown on the multimeter display. If this test doesn’t reveal a power supply failure, please provide me with the following information so I can better assist you: your Twinkly account email address a screenshot of the device page (tap on the LED icon at the bottom right-hand side of the screen, then on the gear icon next to your Twinkly device name) a picture of your Twinkly packaging a copy of the receipt (preferably in PDF) with all the info about the purchase especially the date since this is a check we perform remotely, to better understand the cause of this unusual behavior of your device, we need you to send us (also by link) a video in which the entire reset procedure is visible, including the final result where we can eventually see the issue clearly. Love these lights. The designs are fun and I have the Christmas lights too.

These were easy to use, and super adjustable. We're big fans.
