My husband has had a MS Surface since they first came out but, he didn't have a keyboard and didn't want to spend $120 on one since he bought the Surface on sale for about $200. Our local store was having a "clearance sale" and had this keyboard on sale. I picked it up and it works fine with my husband's MS Surface even though it is several years old and one of the earliest models. He and I are both delighted.

I'm glad I spent the money for the keyboard. I'm much more comfortable using a physical board her than a virtual one. On previous laptops I had problems with the heel of my hand striking the mouse-pad while typing, resulting in the cursor being inadvertently re-positioned. I've had no such issues with this board. The keys light up upon striking, which doesn't seem like that big of an improvement until you see it.

Some reviews note the keyboard is too small. I did not find this true. My hands have been called large, (according to my wife I have sausage fingers.) The keys are larger than my old mini laptop and the pressure to cause the letters to appear is easy. I don't do significant typing with the machine so this may change if I need to draft a lengthy document. The magnetic attachment is wonderful and very much adds to the transition from laptop to tablet. Ultimately even if you don't like using the keyboard it makes an excellent screen protector and helps change the viewing angle of the screen.

I bought this with my Surface and have been in heaven since. Backlit and with a nice feel, I wouldn't use my Surface half as much without it. The addition of not needing to charge it (it is powered by connecting to your Surface) makes for it always being ready to use. The option of it being colorful just made the little girl in me dance with glee that I could play with something so bright and cheery.

This keyboard is sturdy, yet flexible. It feels very comfortable and is easy to use.

If you get the Surface 3, you need this to complete the package. Not only does it help to protect the screen, but it is very comfortable, convenient, has flexible implementations, and great responsiveness. You do need to get used to it's feel and key positions a bit at first, but that is just "muscle memory" stuff.

Its awesome how this device flips closed and acts a case as well, plus various spots to attach your pen to it. The Blue color is awesome but needs a little more tender loving care as the bottom felt can get dirty, just take a piece of paper or anything clean that you could put under the keyboard while it is open.

I love how thin and yet very potent the keyboard is, great match for the Surface 3 if you're looking for slim designing in a 2 in 1 device. I only wish that the bottom of the keyboard doesn't get to collect as much lint or get dirty easily because of the material. I also found that sometimes the space button would not work when though I am clearly pressing on it, I hope that was a problem with me alone. But other than that you can enable a back light so when you do homework at night and not have to squint at which buttons you're pressing!

Fits well, keys are easy to press, doesn't add too much weight to the tablet.

Great keyboard, just a little pricey. But I guess u get what you pay for.
