Am I doing something wrong?

One broke immediately and was replaced by friendly support staff, but the replacement refuses to stay attached to any surface. I've tried the dash and various places on the windshield, and it falls without warning, while I'm driving. Maybe others have had better luck? I'm going to trying cleaning the surfaces again and reattach. Also, the wireless charger doesn't work with my Otter case, so... not great.
