Wont automatically charge from iPad Details ---------- The build quality on this thing is very good and installation is straight forward. First setup the iPad in the case and then attach the keyboard to the case. There is a charging cable with the iPad case and charging will get you 180 hours of charge for the keyboard good enough for a 6 month time frame. The mouse pad is large and has nice scroll , pinch etc. features just like competing keyboard cases on the market .. Overall for the price I think it is a decent buy and more rugged as compared to competing products in the market. The ruggedness of the case is what drew me to it. Well worth it!

This UAG iPad folio case with keyboard is a rugged and durable case that has been specifically designed for the 10th generation iPad with a 10.9-inch screen. It is a two-piece product consisting of a rugged stand-alone case and a detachable Bluetooth keyboard that can be attached magnetically to the case. The keyboard has backlit keys with customizable colors and three brightness levels which is super cool compared to others this style which maybe will have white if you’re lucky. The touchpad is a good size and features the familiar pinch, scroll, tap and swipe functionality, as well as classic Apple keyboard functions and commands you expect when using an attached keyboard like this. The battery promises to last a super long time and charges via USB-C which is perfect. The case offers excellent protection for the iPad that you want and expect with a UAG case. The ruggedness of the case is basically the standout feature here as it can actually take a drop unlike most this style and I really appreciate the protection it offers. The keyboard is also detachable, so users do not need to have it connected to their iPad at all times which makes it nice because thats why we have iPads in the first place right? One potential drawback is that the stand on the back of the case is not very sturdy, which can cause the iPad to fall over but at least its protected if it does well enough its not really something to worry about. However, overall, this folio case is an excellent choice for those looking for a durable and functional keyboard case for their iPad.

If you are in the market for a rugged keyboard case for your 10th Gen iPad, you can't really go wrong with this UAG case. It features a bluetooth keyboard and removable rugged case. The case can be propped up in a couple of different positions while attached to the keyboard, but when removed, there is no kickstand or anything. So if you want to set it up to watch a video or something just keep in mind you need to leave it connected to the keyboard. The case itself is very nice feeling, and definitely rugged. You can tell this case will keep your ipad nice and safe. But again, when the case is detached from the keyboard, just keep in mind there is no protection on the front screen of the ipad. The front is only protected if the keyboard is attached and in the closed position. The case features several sets of magnets which makes positioning the ipad in any of the desired positions relatively simple. The keyboard is also a very nice, comfortable keyboard. It is bluetooth, so it does features it's own battery and has to be charged independently of the iPad. The battery does however, last a very long time depending on usage. UAG claim up to 6 months battery life. I'm not sure how realistic that number is, but I definitely noticed it has a very good battery life and I didn't have to recharge it at all in the couple of weeks that I have been using it. You could probably get away with only charging it every month or so depending on usage. Overall I am very happy with this keyboard and case combo from UAG. It offers great protection and functionality. I have a few minor issues, but nothing that is worth detracting any point. If you are in the market for a rugged keyboard case, this is a fantastic option.

This Bluetooth keyboard/case combo from Urban Armor Gear is a good, solid keyboard choice compared to a lot of other options out there. It's certainly a cheaper alternative to some other manufacturers out there and provides some outstanding protection for your device. Some may scoff at the idea of a Bluetooth keyboard now and days but I'll say this. The connection with iPad has been rock solid every time I use it and have not had it once drop out on me. The keys have a fair amount of travel and once you adapt to the size of they keyboard typing is pleasant enough. The built in track pad is ok, it's precise enough to get the job done. It's not an Apple Magic Trackpad, so keep your expectations in check and you'll be fine. Personally, I'm not fond of using a trackpad with an iPad so it's not so much an issue for someone like me. Battery life is ok. I've yet to kill it with moderate to heavy use. My only real complaint would be the weight. Then again, this is from a company named Urban Armor so the weight is to be expected I guess. With my iPad firmly in case I feel safer knowing I have protection from the odd fall to the ground. I've not tested this yet, I'll take the manufacturers word on that but based on feel, I believe it could survive most falls with no damage to the iPad. Good choice for iPad protection while providing a decent keyboard experience.

The UAG 10th gen keyboard exudes quality as soon as you take it out of the box. The case is much heavier than other keyboard cases on the market however that is to be expected when you purchase a rugged case. The rugged case that protects the ipad is attached to the keyboard portion via magnets. The magnets are also used to adjust the angle of the ipad. The keyboard is a led back-lit keyboard that has great feedback and is spaced out very well to type comfortably. I am actually typing this review on it and could not be happier. The full sized track pad works very well and is very responsive, The great thing is you can use gestures on the track pad similar to what you may use on your Mac book. The keyboard is also spill resistant which is great if you take your iPad to a worksite or your kids seem to use your iPad more than you do. My kids have "accidentally: spilled things on my keyboard and ruined them many times however they wont be able to do the same with this one. Battery life is rated to be very long and I assume you will be able to get 3-4 months of battery life with daily use. Overall I love how I can use my iPad as a temporary laptop replacement when I don't need the full capabilities of my laptop. Overall UAG built a rugged keyboard case that will keep your iPad protected while letting your productivity flourish

The UAG – Apple iPad 10.9” 10th gen Bluetooth Keyboard is made well. The product comes in two pieces, a case for the iPad, and the Bluetooth keyboard. The case snaps magnetically to the keyboard. The cover folds over to make a stand for the iPad. When closed the iPad and the keyboard are completely covered. The manual states the case and keyboard will protect the iPad from up to 8-foot drop. The iPad can be detached from the keyboard. The keyboard has back-lit keys with 7 colors and 3 brightness levels. The keyboard uses a USB-C charging cable that is included in the box. The cover can be positioned by using the magnets to set 4 different viewing angles. However, this is not a strong bond and using your finger to select on the screen will cause the top to fall flat. The keyboard battery charges in 1.5 hours. The battery should last about 30 hours according to the manual. The keys are large enough and spaced apart enough to stop hitting 2 keys at once. The is a touch pad that is large enough to make gestures easily. The keys feel the keys on a laptop, you can tell when you depress one. The keyboard has an auto off feature and a power button to save power. Overall, this keyboard is rugged and should last a while. The complete keyboard case is just heavy enough to let you know it's there, but not bulky and overweight.

This deserves a five star based on the sheer versatility and ruggedness. I have used and reviewed multiple IPad accessories over the years from different companies and this one checks all the boxes that one desires. The sheer ruggedness exudes confidence and the fit is perfect. The design and contours are all excellent. The keyboard connnectivity is flawless, though, you need to charge the keyboard from time to time, even though the battery life is excellent. The trackpad feel and follow-through are wonderful. I tried a few games and the trackpad response was effortless and precise. The RGB lighting is feature is cool. Honestly, I have found this particular keyboard to be the most comfortable among its peers, to work on for any length of time. The keyboard feel and spacing were great for my own personal taste at least. I think UAG has something good going here and I might end up following their product line-up a bit more closely from now. The only con, in my humble opinion, would be the fact that the set up with the keyboard is comparatively more heavy than what I had anticipated. Just the cover is fine but when you add the keyboard, it does create a bit of heft to the set. I am looking forward to trying more UAG accessories for the IpadAirs and Pros now. Highly recommended.

One of the features that I appreciated when I got this case was the durability. This case is built to withstand being dropped or handled in a manner for mistakes that happen. The corners are protected because when I have dropped my iPad in the past, the corners are the most vulnerable. I love the keypad on the case. If you want to insert emojis, or wanting to bring up the keyboard, the shortcuts ar right there ready for use. When you go to pair the case with your device, it is made to be effortless with the pairing buttons being right on the keyboard. The material is rugged, not cheap and not so bulky to the point where it takes up a lot of space. Another thing I like about this cause is the lit up keyboard. When I am sitting in the dark or a dim lit room it makes it easy to type and navigate. One of the things that I don’t really like about the case is the fact that when you go to type or stand it up to interact with it, the stand on the back is not very sturdy. When you go to push on the iPad, sometimes it buckles and falls down, another thing is my pencil will not charge unless I take it out of the case, I would like for it to be able to charge while it is sitting in the space where the pencil sits otherwise this is a great investment for protection of your iPad.

First of all, this does fit my 4th generation iPad Air, although it’s not a precise fit. All buttons work and the iPad feels secure inside. I did this just to check if it would fit because 4th generation Air and 10th generation iPad are very similar. I also used this to test the Bluetooth switching option, which works great. To pair, hold down function and the corresponding Bluetooth button (1 or 2) and the keyboard pops right up on the iPad screen with a four digit number you press on the keyboard to pair. The keys feel great like a regular keyboard and the trackpad works as well as my Apple Magic Keyboard. Battery life is supposedly six months which is on par for Bluetooth keyboards like these. Please note that it doesn’t charge from the iPad but from a USB-C port. When you receive it, you put your iPad into the rugged case that fully covers the sides and back of the iPad. The keyboard portion has the front cover attached to it and magnetically attaches to the iPad/case combination. When folded up, there is a little magnetic tab that snaps shut and keeps it folded. There’s also a slot for Apple Pencil, which is nice to have. Now, the reason I gave this three stars was because of the mechanism for placing the unit in laptop position. You have to slide the cover down along the folds and magnetically re-attach the lip to a lower point on back of the case. In practice, it would work if the magnet were stronger, but as it stands, neither of the two positions feels secure enough. The fidgety mechanism doesn’t feel secure and that’s why I’d only recommend this for occasional laptop use in a rugged environment. The case detaches easily so this would be nice for specific use case (pardon the pun) but not for me. Perhaps someone on the move, maybe a tradesman who keeps this in his van.

This is the rugged keyboard case that everyone needs for their iPad! Opening the box and you are presented with the case and a USB-C charge cord. Right away, you can tell that this is very well made. It feels really nice in the hands with good grip. The case is detachable from the stand/keyboard. I placed my iPad in the case and charged up the keyboard. I was ready to go! Connecting the keyboard via bluetooth is as easy as it gets. The box says you can pair up to 2 devices at the same time, but I never had need to test that. I was really impressed by the feel of the keyboard. The keys are backlit, which is a huge detail for me. I have a Surface with detachable keyboard and this keyboard is lightyears better. It really does feel like you are typing on a laptop. The trackpad is very responsive and BIG! Most of these keyboards have little tiny trackpads. Not this one! I am not an all day long user so I have been using this for a couple weeks now and have not had to recharge it. That is great for me! The durability factor is sky high. It is mil-spec rated to drop from 8 ft with no damage! Pretty impressive. If you are in the market for a new iPad folio, this is a can't miss. It deserves every bit of 5 stars.
