This case is great, lightweight, and very durable without being bulky and I love it.

UAG is known for their rugged-looking cases, so I figured when I wanted something different for my phone that this was the way to go. Unfortunately, one drop changed my opinion on what "looks" like protection but clearly isn't. The case goes on easily, and the outside borders of the case are surrounded by a hard rubber (think the consistency of tires). The back is aesthetically covered between the red spiderweb with a faux leather grain material. All ports are well-exposed, including for the stylus slot. The outside buttons are very tactile and work well (better than Otterbox buttons, which I find soft and hard to push to activate the underlying phone buttons). Where this went off-the-rails for me was a single drop that just happened to drop onto a concrete floor, flat on its screen. The result was a complete shattering (although luckily it was a Zagg glass screen protector). See photos in the review. Had the Zagg not been on the screen, that shattering would have been the actual phone screen. It appears that the top edges of the case simply don't stand up far enough to fully protect the screen and to keep the screen from being the first point of contact with the ground. Had this been a fall on the screen onto a pointy object I'd understand, but a fall about as perfectly flat as you could drop it should be intercepted by the case, not allowing the screen to absorb the brunt of the impact. Prior to this fall, the case was great. But the one thing it's supposed to do -- protect the phone and its screen -- it failed at.

This case was recommended to me by the guy at the cellphone section of the store and I've got to say that it is just great. It's rugged, goes on and off really easy, and it's kind of sexy looking (bonus!). And as an extra added feature, although my hands seem to be getting a little "dropsy" as I get older, the case allows you to use the phone as a sort of Hacky Sack when you accidentally drop it. I mean, yeah, dropping happens, but I can't be the only one that uses his (or her) feet to try to keep the phone from smashing on the ground, right? Well, if you are like me.. this case is just perfect for that. It even does a good job of protecting the phone when, during the fall, gravity swerves the phone out of foot distance and it heads straight for the asphalt unhindered by your epic Sack skills. So, yeah... good case. Get it. And maybe invest in a Hacky Sack too?

This is a solid and grippy case that gives my gi-normous Note 9 some color, and adds a tough appearance. It's easy to put on, and it fits perfectly. All ports are accessible through this case. I love this tuff red monarch!

I have always liked UAG products. When I looked around for cases for my Note 9, I came across this Monarch case. It is very well built and with nice red accents. I is very sleek and yet provides a great protection for my phone. Inspite of the case, my Note 9 looks really sleep and very easy to grip. I would definitely say this case is a great choice for anyone looking for a rugged and good looking case.

Ok..this is coming from somebody who is pretty picky when it comes to my phone and putting a case on it. Ever since I tried out a UAG case on my galaxy s4 years ago I've never gone with anything else. UAG cases always fit perfect,look great and different and does exactly as it should....protect the phone. Trust me, this is the BEST out there

I have used UAG phone cases on each of my last 4 phones. They are solid cases and super rugged looking. They provide excellent grippage for larger Samsung phones while giving that cool style that every man should have. I feel confidence in the protection that this case will provide for as long as I own the phone also.

I really like the design of the case, so much so that I can't bear to stick anything on it's back. I do sometimes worry that the curved edges may be over exposed in a drop based on appearance and how great the access is to edges but so far no issues. Love the grippy sides.

Love the black and red and overall design looks real nice and the sides are rubber or something so helps with gripping your phone so doesnt just slip out your hands with quick moments which is always a major PLUS

UAG makes great cases. I use them on all my devices I ever have and currently have. They're sleek but still offer what otterbox offers for protection. The red just didnt look that great with the purple phone to me. But the black one looks amazing.

This case offers quite a bit of protection from drops and other accidents. It also has quite a bit of a lip around the front so you can set the phone down on the screen without actually scratching the screen. I've owned this exact case for a couple other phones and I keep purchasing it for my new phone's the look of it is awesome as well.

I removed my Otterbox and installed this cover. It's smaller than the Otterbox, fits my hand better and is easier to reach the S pen and finger print reader. I would recommend and buy again.

This is my third Urban Armour Gear phone case. With every new phone I look at all the available phone cases. I always co me back to Urban Armour Gear. The best you can buy! The price is the only drawback...

This is my second UAG case for a new android. The last one protected my S7 from purchase to trade in. This one does the same with less bulk than an otter box case, and the new designs are great to look at.

The case provides excellent protection for my Note 9. It improves ease of holding with grip panels on the sides and doesn't block access to the S-pen. The case also works with Samsung wireless chargers.

Bought this case for my husbands phone. He's had no complaints. Had he not chosen this one, I would have gotten it. Has a sleek and futuristic look and the red definitely pops. I'd recommend this case.

Have already dropped my phone a few times and this case has held up well. No damage to my phone so far, and the aesthetic is nice; I really like the colors, although the logo is large and obnoxious.

Really liked this case: Color, style, construction, and protection. My only gripe is it has no covers for the ports. I carry in my pocket and didn't want my charging/data port to fill with debris.

I bought this for my work phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It's a good fit and I like the strong looking back of the case in a deep red color built with metal inlays.I like the feeling that if I were to drop it that it would survive the fall.

Would never use a different brand case after using the UAG Monarch case. Light weight and great protection from drops. Fits in a pocket even with large phones like the Note 9.
