This game has been so much fun! I love the new career mode and the graphics and physics engine make it very realistic. It took some time to get used to the new controls from the first UFC game, but they are much better in UFC 3. I would recommend this to any UFC fan!

EA stepped up their game again for this one. The controls have changed a bit from the last titles but once you get the hang of it the striking is really cool and complex. In this game the angles matter more than the type of strike being thrown, and a fight can easily be ended by walking or leaning into a big strike. The graphics are good and gameplay is smooth and feels realistic (you can’t just spam flying knees and expect your fighter not to tire). I’d definitely recommend this to any fans of the franchise or UFC in general.

It’s been a while since I’ve purchased a UFC game and this definitely stumped me for a bit. It’s a HUGE step above the last one I owned. The graphics are decent and controls are definitely complicated enough to keep someone occupied if you really want to know how to play and are not just a button smasher. It’s nothing special but a good time killer since there’s plenty of that nowadays.

I have played previous UFC games in the past, so I knew what to expect a bit. The controls haven't changed much over the years, though I feel the submission and groundwork has improved. Typically the moment I wound up on the ground in a match in previous games, I would essentially lose and it would be difficult to maneuver out. It's a lot easier now and more intuitive. This is not to say the game is easy, far from it. The game starts off with what seems like a series of cutscenes but is really your intro into your first match. It threw me off at first since I didn't know it was putting me straight into a match before choosing anything or changing settings. You start off as Connor McGregor as he wins the title, then are taken to the main screen after the fight where you can choose other matches, go online, etc. The game has a decent sized install file, so make sure you have plenty of room in your storage. Overall, the game was quite fun and though I haven't gotten very good in it and keep getting knocked out, I'm enjoying it. I also like that after a match, whether I win or not, I can see what the judges were scoring each round and gauge how I was doing.

This game looks absolutely stunning on Xbox One X in 4K. Very high skill cap is always a good thing, but it can be very frustrating when you’ve sunk 40+ hours into the game and are still getting absolutely smacked online (and versus bots sometimes). As I did with UFC 2, I found that I had no hope of doing well in the campaign versus bots if my character is not a submission specialist. After watching a few guides on YouTube, I got decent at striking in order to level up my ultimate team fighters versus the bots, but I would still get absolutely slaughtered online versus EVERYONE. Ultimately, the high skill cap of striking is what turned me off the game, but not unusual for me as I play a lot of different games and forget all about the old ones. Also, ground game is still a little awkward, but I don’t mind it. Just don’t expect to be good on the ground online when the little directional indacator isn’t there to help you. TLDR: If you liked the previous games, you’ll definitely like this one. I could not stop playing the campaign for a couple weeks. Highly recommend to anyone (lots of online AND offline content to enjoy), especially if you have an Xbox One X and a 4K TV.

Great game - UFC has done it again. Defiinitely an improvement to the past UFC games, career mode now includes fan/publicity type goals. Very realistic imaging. Both my boys and their father really enjoy playing in individual and multi-player mode together.

Great striking mechanics, grappling still needs a little work but not horrible. Career mode is decently fun but after you become champ there's not much to do besides trying to round out your character.

Overall, EA Sports UFC 3 is the best entry in the franchise yet – but falls a bit short of being the best MMA game ever. The roster is lean on legends, which hurts the ability to do dream matches compared to games like UFC Undisputed 3. The career mode is a huge improvement over past games and the revamped bobbing and weaving system makes combat more enjoyable and intuitive

Full disclosure this isn’t first UFC game. I’d never played one until recently with some friends and I enjoyed it enough to pick it up. The graphics and animations are amazing. The striking system is great and although I’ve heard the grappling system leaves a little to be desired I can’t speak much to that as it’s my first game.

My brothers, to my knowledge, have never bought a UFC game before this one. Without any other information, I'd say it's a fine addition to the series. They enjoy it immensely and play it far more frequently than expected. I assume the mechanics are similar enough to most other fighting or wrestling games, as it didn't appear to have a steep learning curve.
