Good Game with Terrible Microtransactions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The gameplay in UFC 3 is really fun, despite them doing next to nothing with the ground work. The standup is really engaging, and the graphics look great. Career mode is unfortunately really shallow, and was misrepresented during marketing to be really in-depth. It's not. Ultimate Team is also, horrendously bad. It could easily be tweaked to become more enjoyable, but EA definitely relies heavily on microtransactions in all of their titles now, so I don't see it happening. It just takes a ridiculously long time to start earning any type of good move sets or fighters...unless you pay EA more money. Definitely a "buy when on-sale" kind of game. Cannot recommend spending $60 in this.
