I didn't know anything about UglyDolls when I first saw the theater trailers and then the film, so it wasn't until later I learned it started as merchandise before becoming a film (as opposed to book then film then merchandise). The film itself is pleasant enough, but the plot isn't as "deep" as a Pixar or DreamWorks animation film. It does have a moral lesson: be accepting of all people. Adults without kids may not enjoy it unless they're "kids at heart" to begin with. There's nothing of particular to note about the quality of the BluRay itself (typical picture and sound quality). There are some bonus features but not not a huge number of minutes, and they're more "fun" than informational.

I thought Ugly Dolls was way better than the reviews it recieved. I think it was pretty cute and had a great lesson for small children. The only thing is that the digital copy is strictly for iTunes so you won’t be able to watch it unless you use your Apple device or Apple TV. So beware if you use VUDU or have no way to watch on an Apple device.

Nice story. If you're a fan of UglyDolls before UglyDolls became a movie, you will probably like this. It is a more "kiddie" story, a toy-story for sure. Lots of songs, decent story of equality, and of course lots and lots of Ugly Dolls. Warning: Fans of the popular Mij doll: she's in there, briefly, no speaking parks, just in the background.

This was an enjoyable little gem of a movie. The "ugly" dolls or "rejects" don't see themselves as such, and incorporate heartfelt songs throughout the movie. When confronted with "perfection" and "sameness" they try to "fit in", and realize it's better to stand out and embrace "being yourself". Enjoyable for kids and adults alike.

So glad I saw this on a whim. Very positive message was well played out. I liked the messages that were sung so much i got the soundtrack. If a kid or tween feels like a victim of bullying they could gain encouragement to appreciate their differences as what makes them YOUnique.

the movie was great. the message it sent to the kids was amazing and heartwarming. the only thing i hated about this was that the digital copy wasn't on anything but itunes... I refuse to use apple and wanted to redeem on vudu or movies anywhere but nope.

We purchased this movie for our 6 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Though there is a brief scene with a trash furnace that may be scary for younger audiences, overall, this movie was wonderful, upbeat, and has a great message. Even our teenagers loved it.

I picked this up for my wife and daughter and they love it and have watched it multiple times so far. The music I catchy and it has a good story. I was hoping for a little more in the extras, that is really my only complaint.

This movie is great. The kids love it. It includes a great ensemble including: Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monáe Robinson and many more. I had seen it on sale for a digital copy and was going to purchase it there but it was on sale for blue ray + digital copy. Beware, the digital copy is only itunes. If you are like me and don't enjoying watching movies on itunes, but you do have a digital collection, this will not transfer over to Vudu, Amazon, Google or any of the other major online retailers. If you contact STX at [email protected], they will take at least a week to get back to you.

Digital - great for on the road. Blueray quality probably isn't necessary for the animated movie. Overall, the movie is a fun and enjoyable movie for the kids. And even I enjoyed watching it the first time.

I was interested in the movie to watch with the kids but didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Sends a great message to kids about self value and acceptance. Need more movies like it

This movie was a pretty good buy since I didn't have a chance to see it in theaters. It has some catchy songs and an important lesson that nobody's perfect and that imperfections should be celebrated.

My granddaughter watched this movie - Ugly Dolls - last night and she loved it. She had been wanting to see it when it was in the theater and we were never able to accomplish it, so now she can see it whenever she feels like watching it.

Bought this for something new for the kids to watch, and it quickly made our favorites list!! The movie has a great soundtrack and a killer cast!! There's fantastic lessons in it for the kids. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

My little brother in law is special needs and he is infatuated with stuffed dolls. He always carries a backpack full of them. I know he is going to love this movie and want to watch it over and over again.

I bought this because it was on sale. It turned out to be pretty good, nothing spectacular, and it was also a bit predictable, but it's not as bad as you may think.

The wife and kids like this movie for some reason. I’m not as excited by it, but some of the music is pretty good. This is not on the same level as Trolls.

Nothing ugly about these dolls or movie. Very cute, sweet & funny movie. My daughter loves it and watches it frequently. Laughs at scenes she likes and feels for the dolls in the movie.

My 7 year old loves this movie. Besides all the fun songs he talks a lot about the bully in the story and how you should behave towards people. Especially people that different from you.
