The battery also lasts a very long time. I have also mounted it to my motorcycle and can hear it playing except when going over 65 mph on the highway. Then the wind sound muffles the sound some. Overall this is a great speaker.

Wasn't planning on replacing but the other one broke, so naturally it was time. No regrets staying with the brand!

It has Bluetooth capabilities and can be connected in sync with other boom 3 speakers. Consequently I have purchased a total of four for use in my home, backyard, and large indoor spaces I just got work
