I had trouble with initial pairing/matching, but it is now working fine. I think the sound is decent. Was a bit surprised at the price tag, but so far am happy with it. Not sure how it compares with similar models from JBL. I do appreciate the size/shape. Hoping to get many years out of it like my last UEBoom speaker. There are some features I have NOT played with yet - it comes with an app with pre-set EQ modes like "Bass Boost," "Cramped Space," "Deep Relaxation," or "Podcast/Vocal" to tailor the audio, one-touch playlists, connection multiple speakers, etc. I haven't yet come across the need for the waterproof feature. Price I paid is same as Amazon - but I have Geek Squad/Total Best Buy membership so prefer purchasing from Best Buy.

Cons: Volume. Works great if sitting around a campfire or table, but on a boat we could not hear it. Just know you need something louder based on the environment. For hanging around, it works great.
