I have always been into electronics and gadgets. I was the kid with the 8 battery boom box in the 70’s. I got into home audio in the 80’s and 90’s, and home theater in the 2000’s. I love high end sound in my home, and in my car. About 10 years ago I started playing around with Bluetooth tech. I’ve even converted old speakers, headphones and guitar amps into Bluetooth with portable BT receivers. The first decade of major retail BT was mostly with speakers about the same size used in headphones. The portability, user friendly extras and sound quality has come a far way in that time. Then we got a lot of companies trying to go bigger with their sound, and extra goodies. My favorite portable BT’s are my JBL (Flip4 & Charge 3). My fav portable stereo pair are my Soundcore Flare+. And, my fav outdoor rocker is my Marshall Killburn 2. I like to browse for the new BT’s coming out. You know how you start searching YouTube on one thing, and then it leads you all over. Well, a few weeks ago I found the UE Hyperboom. I was so excited by the reviews for the Hyperboom that I spontaneously stopped at Best Buy to get one. My local BB didn’t have it yet, but the one a few towns away had just one in inventory (this was just a couple days after they were released for sale to the public). I wish you could see the smile on my face the first time i fired it up... WOW! The sound quality and power reminded me of my Polk Audio studio monitors. I love the speaker placement and the Auto EQ (the stereo separation is wide and clear). I love the app where you can power on the speaker and save your own customized EQ settings. Bass is perfect with a healthy punch, the mids are full and clear, and the highs are crystal clear. You hear everything, perfectly... and then some! Pink Floyd, Mac Miller, Fleetwood Mac, Snoop Dogg, Andre Bocelli, Metallica, Post Malone... all are full sounding and pitch perfect at all volume levels. With the adjustable EQ on flat it’s all good indoors, and outdoors. It is amazing how portable and easy it is to use too. I am glad it doesn’t have speaker phone as I hate using my phone over the speaker. It’s not like I’m driving with this speaker. Lol. All your hard earned money goes to mind blowing sound, battery life, and quality (UE designed and tested all internals and durability in house). I’m okay with IPX4 rating because I believe higher ratings can dampen sound quality (IPX4 can take up to your average rain and major spills). If I’m going to the pool or beach, I take my JBL. This is my current goto for inside/outside the house and for parties and gatherings. I am looking forward to it going sale so I can get another to pair in stereo for the ULTIMATE back yard sound. I love this speaker for its beautiful design and its easy carry concealed handle. This beauty, delivers unbelievable sound with pre-sets and customizable sound patters via an easy to use in app EQ. Easy to use on unit bottoms with tactile volume control to help reducing wears. Also, holding up-down volume simultaneously, announces battery level on speaker. Love it! I love 2 Bluetooth input options which allows playback from 2 different sources; great for patties! As well as a 3.5 mm jack and an optical input great for gamers to connect a TV. I like the dedicated USB port to charge your phone or tablet. Splash proof, concealed inputs to guard from water and dust, a very easy to use app that controls volume, pause, On-Off, and inputs switching. The app offers music servers support (at the time of this review Amazon and Apple) Overall, this Ultimate Ears Hiperboom speaker, was a great buy. I personally recommended!

Really impressed - I’ve tried a ton of speakers in this size category in search of a good fit, i.e. Tribit Stormbox, Partybox Encore, Partybox 310, etc. Of all I’ve tried the hyperboom feels the most practical and is my favorite. The UE software is smooth, simple, and convenient for all purposes including special features such as being able to turn on the speaker remotely. Of course, the speaker itself sounds great, right on par with the contenders with one important exception. The hyperboom is amazing at battery stamina by all means— where other speakers of the same size tend to use battery quickly and more importantly fail to use its advertised power output unless plugged in, the Hyperboom is the only speaker of its kind that I’ve noticed does not suffer from this issue at all. Plugged or unplugged there’s almost no difference as the speaker is always all-in on volume and bass wherever you go. Neat features like the graphic EQ that feels like it actually changes something alongside a microphone for adaptive tuning are another plus. The small footprint of the speaker helps it fit in a lot more small spots, and the audio performance full-blast is the best of its class. If you can work with the lower waterproof rating and would rather choose a practical and well-rounded bluetooth speaker of its size that also does great on battery life and performance, this is the move.

I was looking for a portable speaker that had more "oomph" over my Boss Portable Smart Speaker - while a great speaker on the go, it leaves much to be desired at home during jam cleaning sessions or parties. My goal was to find something similar to the sound stage and deep but not muffled bass of an Apple HomePod - but wireless. Other than this speaker, I was also looking at a few options that JBL has, as I love my JBL Flip. In the end, after countless YouTube reviews, I ended up with the UE Hyperboom based on what many have said - great sound stage, deep but not too overpowering bass and overall just a clear natural but deep sound - and this is exactly how I feel after listening for a solid 24 hours now. At first, I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed, probably because of all the rave reviews I read. But as soon as I listened to them side by side with the speakers that I have... that's when I truly heard what was going on. Then you place the speaker near a wall where the bass can really shine and wow. I had turn down the bass in the EQ app and leave it flat. The speaker also looks great in person and is built very well. As far as traveling, I'll likely still stick to my smaller speakers unless of course if we're camping or staying at an airbnb - then this guy is definitely coming with. Aside from sound quality, some other things I love about the speaker: 1. You can turn on and off the speaker via the UE app. The fact I can wake up in bed, turn it on and get my morning playlist going is great for a device that doesn't need to be plugged in 24/7 2. This charges very quickly! And you can see the charge via the app or press the + - buttons to hear how much more juice you've got. 3. I love the handle. While a bit unconventional, I like it because it blends in the design and looks great in my home or out in out backyard. 4. The audio port is a great addition, hoping to use this speaker for when we invest in a projector for outdoor movie nights. 5. Connecting two bluetooth devices so your friends can take over the playlist. A few things I do wish it had or were different: 1. Mic input, this would be great for those times your friends and fam wanna get down with some karaoke. 2. I know it's not a smart speaker but I do wish it connected to wifi but I have found that the Bluetooth doesn't seem to disconnect and the range seems great. 3. The USB port should have been USB-C All that said and done, these are one of the best portable speakers I've heard. It's giving me that extra oomph I was looking for which I think will be great for parties and entertaining. I'm hoping the battery stays healthy and holds a good charge for years to come.

Had a Bose S1 Pro, wasn’t satisfied with the fact that anytime I played rap or anything with low notes the 6.5 woofer sounded like it was bottoming out. (Sounded Great with Rock and Latin though). Switched to a Sonos move, knowing I was compromising on Sound Quality just didn’t want to be limited to playing certain genres. That was a complete failure, everything from sound quality being muffled and bass being non-existent. (The Sonos Move was the mos portable and convenient to carry around). So the Sonos has to go, Compromised on Wi-fi and picked up this UE Hyperboom and Wow to say the least. Definitely a keeper, everything I was looking for and then some. Picked this one up on 6/28/20 and tomorrow will be picking up a second Unit. Can’t say enough, sound quality outdoors is great. EQ and App work flawlessly. Never thought I’d become a Ultimate Ears fanatic (always saw them as a inferior company to say the least) till today. Not saying goodbye to my Sonos and Denon speakers just letting them know there’s definitely some new competition out there.

I’ve had this speaker for a couple of days and no matter how much I use it....I DON’T get tired of it and ! If you’re in the market to finally get rid of your 6 yrs old speaker (like me) or need to add to your collection of UE speakers then this is a major GO. This speakers packs Thundering bass with no compromise on the rich sound It delivers. This is the first speaker I owned that 1.can virtually last forever because it’s long lasting battery 2. I don’t have to keep it full volume to enjoy the sound. The only down side about this speaker and probably the other UE boom series is when I “Party Up” with my Mega Boom. The music sometimes have a slight static every few seconds from the added speaker if they are roughly more than 25-30 feet away from each other. The music still stays in sync So it doesn’t bothers me much. I’ll try to post an update after 6 months of owning this once my hype of owning this speaker dies down.

Freaking Great!!!!! This speaker is in my list of speakers ill never sell! Bass is great sound stage is spectacular definitely loud. Loaded with features, EQ, remote turn on, splash proof, and the ports especially the Optical!!! Im a person that loved jbl but this right here definitely kinda says buy me over boombox 2 especially because of the driver layout wich equal better sound stage,on par sound quality, 100 dollar less pricing and features, even if u want and Xtreme 2 or 3 and size is not your concern throw the Xtra 50 out for this beast u won't regret it! I wanted to for a sound bar for my new sony XM900H but missed the sale so I got this instead and it adds more sound and that missing bass with ease!!! Point is highly recommended!!!

Definitely the best Bluetooth speaker out there. It has the cleanest sound highs and mids. However it does struggle to hit the really low tone bass but thats to be expected due to the passive radiators. I love the app whicn allows you to see the battery percentage and the ability to eq the speaker along with its own presets. The app also allows you to power on and off the speaker which is useful like a remote. It also gets ridiculously loud with no distortion. Battery life is great too

After researching numerous bluetooth speakers I finally decided on the Hyperboom because of features like the multiple input selections, long battery life and that you can plug your phone into it to charge while playing.The sound quality is super crisp and feels very 3 dimensional, the audio makes it sound like it is coming from multiple directions. Bass is good,highs are crisp and it is loud enough for a house a party.

This can get pretty loud and love how portable it is. I use it on my pontoon and it's been great all summer. I like that it has an auto adjust so when at full volume, it won't distort the speakers causing them to get ruined. It does flatten the bass out a bit, but for the volume, it's worth it. It's also great indoors. This baby you do want to put in the corner and it great sound for any room. I only wish it charged with USB-C, but at least the batter lasts all weekend.

alright, I was looking for a nice boombox or Bluetooth speakers , I researched via YouTube, different stores reviews and finally decided, I love bass with my music, this does definitely has it, and not only that, it has an EQ that you control with your cell, through the EU app. I love the fact that you van turn off and on via the app, I haven't taken it out like camping, beach yet but it will definitely go next time i go, has a descent volume , i would recommend it , do your research before buying, but this will really catch your eye.. or ears in this case.

The Hyperboom is an awesome speaker. Was instantly impressed with the sound, design, ease of connectivity, length of battery life, everything. Definitely top of the ue line. Totally worth the price especially when you consider the speaker continues to evolve over time. Love it and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of impressive audio equipment.

we have had this speaker for about a month. sound is really nice and the BOOM BOOM. is really good. we nave been using this item almost every day and so far so good., battery seems to be really good. we charged and when its fully charged we disconnected it from the outlet. we had before this one "SOSNOS MOVE" but returned it cuz battery is really bad. this new speaker battery is really good. but we think SONOS MOVE sounds better than this one. but we will keep it and see what's going on in the days coming. so far everything is working the way it should , Remote bluetooth on and off function is really good never fails;

Purchased this a year ago for backyard party’s that we have. I have had many speakers I’ve tried and used over the years all with there plus’s and minus’s.. This thing is BY FAR head and shoulders above all. The depth richness and body of the sound cannot be compared to others. People can not believe that this speaker produces such amazing music. Battery life of course is amazing which is like one more thing not to worry about. Beyond impressed and was fortunate to get it while on sale.. Love the white color as well. If you Are thinking about this and need a quality speaker just go by this will be zero regrets and I actually appreciate the build quality and look of this vs some of other options.

This thing is a banger is splash-proof and versatile in its uses. I can drag it from my bathroom to my bedroom to my patio for awesome sound anywhere. I like that you can pair it to other UE devices for crazy sound! Battery life is great and it looks great wherever. It is rather heavy but that’s due to the drivers. BUY THIS.

The speaker has amazing highs and lows, this product feels very sturdy and expensive which is what you should be seeing at this price, It also has a great battery life and sound that can reach a very high volume without starting to sound bad

Best Bluetooth speaker i have ever purchased. Crisp clear sound and bass does not bottom out. I've used it several times at special indoor family events and birthdays and necer dussappoints. Great speaker and loud.

I bought the new version released early September 2022...it is way louder than my Megablast by UE. The bass it outstanding and has a crispy tone. The only down side is the battery life. I usually use it mainly when I'm grilling and for about 20 to 30 mins on full volume the battery drops anywhere from 10 to 30 percent.

This speaker is amazing! I love the fact that you can pair them together with a variety of speakers from Ultimate Ears. I have an 71 mustang and this allows me to have an explosive audio system without cutting into my door panels and back seat. It is great that you can remove them and use in the backyard ! I highly recommend.

I super love this speaker, I bragged on it so much. I had to buy one for for my son as well. We can say enough about how the sound quality is amazing, it also links with my two mega blast speakers. My house rocks like a concert hall and you can take it anywhere. My favorite place to let it blast is at the drive in. It makes the experience 1000 times better everyone loves the imax movie quality sound. Run and get this item, see what you been missing
