These are not booming but they offer a decent 360 reach for small groups or days at the beach. It reminds me of your basic boom box that you would take out at the picnic with 6D batteries. I noticed that the audio levels were louder from a computer bluetooth vs a smartphone. It was easy to setup and get going in minutes and because it's splash proof it would be good outdoors for fun of groups 10-15 people. I bought two since they were on sale for $220 each and have them mounted on photo light stands since the bottoms have your basic camera threads.

Sound is good for a Bluetooth speaker. I like the fact that's a cylinder and the music flows through every direction and I don't have to be facing it in any direction to get the desired results. I wanted to buy the smaller version, but after testing this one, I could really hear the difference so I went for it. Range is great. I put it down in the basement and go up to the second floor with my phone connected without loosing connection. It feels sturdy and the fact that's waterproof is a plus. Battery life it's great, although I have not tested how long it actually lasts, but it serves my purposes because I don't listen to music all the time. I hesitated before buying this product because of the price, but after reading other reviews I was convinced it was worth it, and after owning this product for a few weeks now, it hasn't disappointed. You could probably get a wired speaker as good or better than this one, but the key difference is that it would be wired, while this one isn't. I can't wait to take it outside this summer! As a tip, look for the bright yellow charger before throwing out the box. It's almost hidden and, even though it would not happen to me because I tend to be careful, I could see happening to someone else where they throw out the box without getting out all the content.

I have had the Speaker for a month now, and have to say that I am really impressed with the sound quality, volume, and battery life it provides. It is a little pricey, but I would compare the quality to a Bose.

Among the wireless bluetooth speakers that I've owned, (JBL Infinity,and Bose), This one is hands down, THE best. It has crisp and natural sounding mids and highs. The bass never gets tubby, or weird. It sounds wonderful in a confined space , or outdoors. The battery life is, as advertised. About 20hours on a single charge. The supporting UE app is not necessary, but advisable, if you'd like to get the biggest band for your buck. I own two of them. I would have given it a 4.5, if the rating system worked that way.

I've had my Mega Boom for several weeks now and I use it all the time. Rather I'm outside BBQing or doing yardwork it works great. the bluetooth range is really good so i can also keep my phone with me as I walk around. I love that I can take this with my rafting later in the year and not have to worry about it getting wet either. Battery life has been great so far. I was charging it every day at first but it really wasn't needed 20 hours of batter life so now i just wait until it's i'm done using it and it's under 30% charge remaining. One thing I was trying to do the other day was play with the equalizer through the Mega boom software and couldn't get it to work. I didn't mess with it to much so i'm sure i'll be able to find it somewhere but the app itself had no info and when I followed to link for support and typed in equalizer nothing cam up. I'll have to look into it further but that the only issue so far.

This speaker provides excellent sound in a portable package. It's durable, waterproof and the battery lasts long. True 360 sound so you can place and hear it anywhere... nice bass as well. I did have one woofer rattle on my original purchase (hence only the 4 stars) so I exchanged for a new unit and so far so good.

I love my Megaboom!! They are a little pricey, but I got mine on sale. Great quality sound, perfect for parties or for just listening to music at home. I love that it's waterproof and has a great battery life, this makes it good for camping and pool parties as well. Recommended!

You have to be realistic with your expectations of this speaker. This speaker is waterproof and rugged with no exposed components. I purchased it for use at the beach. I have zero worries about sand and water harming this speaker. It's size is also very portable. It's battery life is long enough to get a couple days worth of use out of it. The speaker does have it's limits. Anything at the very top end of the max volume output will basically diminish the base. But that is only at the top end. That's about the only negative thing I could find with this speaker. If you're searching for great sound at high volume, you can find it in other speakers. But you'll be sacrificing portability, waterproofing, Bluetooth range, wireless power, small footprint, and overall toughness to drops/all elements. The downloaded app also allows you to turn on and off the speaker from your phone.

I have several. They're durable and waterproof. They sound really good, especially when more than one are on at a time. They do NOT sound as good as my Harmon Kardon, but I wanted to be able to connect multiple speakers at a time which you can't do with the HK. BIG downside for me is the difficulty I have with the party up app. Has been EXTREMELY difficult getting all the speakers to connect and play. Very frustrating. Usually I eventually get them all to play, but it takes a LONG time, every time I try. For the price (I bought before recent price drop), they should work MUCH better than they do. If you need durable, waterproof, portable and want to (in theory, if it works...) connect multiple speakers at a time, these are you best bet. If you need a single bt speaker or even 2, without the other bells and whistles , look at the Harmon Kardon.

Good sound, though. Not as “mega” as I was hoping. I Jane a UE Roll that I have used for years to listen to music on my motorcycle. It’s good, but once I go over 45mph, the Harley noise drowns out the music, so it’s only good for around town jaunts. I replaced it with the Mega Boom, and see no real difference in volume levels. Still good for around town though. It is decent for small to medium parties or listening at home alone.

Great sound, very loud for the size. Battery life is excellent and the bluetooth works very well. It's a little pricey, but has awesome durability thus far and is weather proof compared the the Beatz speaker for about the same price. Can't wait buy another and pair the 2.

Good sounding speaker. Battery has good life and speaker has been very durable. Only thing is price is a little high but I am a firm believer in buy once, cry once so I am happy with my purchase almost a year after the fact.

It has really great sound quality & I love that you can connect to other megaboom speakers. The only cons I have are with the battery life (which seems to decrease a lot faster than I expected), the charging port (the position of it is slanted & is sometimes hard to plug in on the first try), and lastly the connectibility between multiple speakers using the app. I have synched mine with another but only by using the opposing persons app. Not sure if there is something wrong with my app but mine is usually up to date so idk. With that being said they are pretty good speakers especially for the price that was paid for them.

Great sound. Easy to use. Battery lasts days with normal use. Close to bose quality. Price is higher than should be. love the water proof for outdoor use.

Good sound, good battery life. Best thing is being able to connect several for different rooms or better overall sound. Waterproof is a plus when using around the pool.

Loud, clear sound quality. No harsh sound and good bass quality as well. Didn't even have to use the full volume on the packed river. The speaker never fell in the water but, it was attached to the yeti and likely had more than, a lot of water dropping on it from fiddling to get drinks. Worth the money! Careful when Bluetooth is connected. We left the phone connected to the speaker in the hotel room and had to go get it halfway down the river which was a trek, to disconnect it from the speaker. No way to manually disconnect Bluetooth from a device on the speaker and it wouldn't allow another phone to kick the other connection out or connect more than one device at a time.

This may not be the best bluetooth speakers out there compared to Bose or some High end sets. I have a soundbar which packs a punch but I needed a handy speaker when I don't want to shake the whole room. so I bought this one at a deal ($99 during New year). IT is worth the bucks spent on it. Pretty clear after I adjusted the equalizer in the app. Out of the box sound is flat. So make sure you change it to your liking ! It makes a lot of difference. I'd suggest to buy if your budget is <100bucks and looking for a good speaker than JBLs.

Sound quality is good(not the best),battery last long and it's waterproof. Only concern is the weight,it is kinda heavy for the average size.

Great sound, nice battery life, useful app, and definitely waterproof. I tested it in a pool, and threw it in during the middle of a song.
