    It is bright with fresh batteries; but they don't last very long. I do use it often as my wife falls asleep before me every night so i need to turn the lamps off

    Powerful little bugger, AWESOME WOULD BUY AGAIN. Very sturdy. Holds extremely well to pages of paperback. The difference between 1st and 2nd button, is not much difference. Either way love it.

    It is very bright - has two brightness settings. Only issue is battery life; especially if you read with the brightest setting - takes 3 AAA
