In a market that is flooded with Smart TV options, the Insignia ROKU TV is among the best for the amount of streaming options it will provide. Insignia Roku TV easy to set-up and has a great picture quality. The Apps are easy to navigate and configure. It simply is the best Smart TV available, as the ROKU system provides you with all the streaming applications you could possibly want without ever having to worry about whether they will continue to be supported. All streaming services want their apps to work with ROKU as it has such a strong position in the market. Other Smart TV's rely on their manufacture's relationship and market position with streaming companies to get their Apps added to the particular TV brand's streaming options, none of them can compete with the number of choices ROKU will give you. The price for this TV is also unbeatable for all that you get.

    Amazing upgrade from previous Insignias

I sought to buy the exact same Insignia TV model as the one I already own from back in 2008 with the exception of an upgrade from 720p to 1080p. I fully expected the only difference between the TVs to be an increase in resolution, but boy was I wrong in so many ways. The advances made since 2008 to the Insignia TV's is astonishing and makes me embarrassed for keeping that old model around. The 2008 32" Insignia TV weighed over 40lbs and created a great amount of heat that made it hard to keep it on for too long. I am so overwhelmingly surprised at how pleased I am with this TV. It is ~10lbs, easily mounted to my wall using a RocketFish tilting mount, and can be lifted with one hand if needed, probably even mounted with some heavy duty command strips it's that light weight. I think it's important to also note the amazement I found in it's introducing me to Roku. I 100% DID NOT BUY THIS for the Roku or smart TV features. I have an Apple TV and cable and thought the Roku would be nothing but a nuisance. I was so incredibly wrong. As it turns out, Roku is much more user friendly and efficient at streaming than the Apple TV. I never thought I'd prefer a non-apple product over an Apple product but now I don't even have the apple TV plugged in and I can't remember the last time I used it. This TV works with my home wireless much more efficiently than Apple TV is able to. I had absolutely no intention of using the Roku feature, I selected this exact TV because it was discounted because it was missing the stand that comes with it, the box had been opened to give the stand to another customer. I knew I wanted to mount it anyway. purchased this model because the product was discounted more than other options. I feared that the Roku feature would just slow me down in the TV setup process but it provides beautiful graphics and so many more options than my cable on demand service can provide.

I purchased this TV for a bedroom. The picture is really crisp and clear; sound is much better than the rest of the flat TVs currently in the house. Set-up was a piece of cake. WiFi connections work great. Despite indicating online that this TV can not be wall mounted, it can. Roku feature is awesome. TV went down in price $20 three days after I bought it and I called Best Buy for a price match and they took care of everything over the phone. What a great service!! Overall, an excellent TV.

This tv was purchased for a bedroom tv. After looking at several different units this one gave alot of added features for the money. Was not going into the purchase thinking smart tv but couldn't pass it up for the cost. Wifi hookup was quick and easy. The Roku TV service works pretty well. As for the overall performance of the tv it has a pretty good picture. The only small complaint would be how you type search requests into the unit. Not used often enough to be a huge complaint but future tv purchases will hopefully be better. Would have no problem recommending this tv to someone looking for an nice quality inexpensive smart tv.

Purchased this TV, to try it and I'm thinking about changing all my TVS to something like this, really good picture, integrated Roku, what else can you ask from a TV, oh OK! fantastic price, want more? I have a Roku 3, a Roku stick and compared to the one build in the TV, I will say it just reacts faster, one thing is that the controller does not have number buttons, which I have no use for, if I had a suggestion the only thing that this set is missing is the controller headphones jack... Great TV.

Smart Saving On Cable TV Bill With Noticeable Cons

This Smart TV was purchased with the idea being that it would be able to replace my family's old box TV and that we would be able to use the internet with it to search online for things on Google etc.(Hence Smart). This was soon found to be incorrect. It can NOT connect to your computer without an extension like ChromeCast and can NOT search Google etc. on its own What it CAN do, however, is wonderful. It delivers a high quality picture and is in a thin form with easy to follow setup instructions. You can watch a large number of channels(which you can google) like Netflix, Youtube, Flixster, Popcorn Flix, Vimeo, Pandora, and PBS to name a few. The channels are in 1080p but not all videos are shown full screen, some are shown in only part of the screen, and while there are a lot of options to customize things like color and brightness, the resolution can not be increased to full screen or decreased to take up less of the screen. There is a movie mode but the difference is negligible. As a college student, I really enjoy watching my favorite Youtube channels on full 1080p display full screen. I do NOT like the Youtube's lack of ability to go to a specific time though! The sound is great and picks up on a lot more bass than I expected. It's loud and comes out the back of the TV which makes it so that my family can be moving things from the living room and the kitchen(behind the TV) and still hear what is being played on TV! My Mom loves playing Pandora and leaving Pandora on to play music while she works in the kitchen. Others may value privacy and not find that to be a feature as much as a nuisance. My family loves it. The controller itself is much smaller than the Verizon controller I'm used to, so I was quite skeptical of it at first. I surprisingly found it to be much more comfortable for me to hold, even though I have rather large hands. The fast forward and rewind buttons work very well, with great response times with each and every command I give, noticeably better than the Verizon Controller's response time. This also accepts input from your Cable Box, DVD Player, etc. and we used it with our Verizon Cable Box and got a noticeably improved picture and sound quality(which is to be expected) although the cable for cable was REALLY hard to screw in. If we had just a bit more room for our large hands it would've been a lot easier. Do also note that you have to pay for quite a few channels, do some google searching on Roku Channels to understand what you are and aren't getting without paying subscriptions. The subscriptions are heavily discounted in comparison to Cable prices for the same channels. It really saves a LOT of money versus cable, easily allowing it to pay for itself. -1 Star for not having searching online nor the ability to connect to my computer natively. -1 More Star for not having resolution changing options and for YouTube's lack of ability to go straight to a desired time in a video without constantly hitting and holding fast forward. If I want to go to 40:00 I shouldn't have to hold it for three minutes! I didn't take a star off for other flaws as they were not as huge and we were still able to use the cable box's cable, it just took a LONG time to get it screwed in properly. Honestly, it is 3/5 Average for today's standards. If this was out during the time of our previous TV I would be willing to give it 4/5, but still not 5/5 because it isn't perfect and has noticeable flaws, many of which can be improved. I would recommend this to a friend for the reasons of it having great picture and video quality. It essentially pays for itself and the Youtube video watching is great. The streaming of various films and TV shows is wonderful, with Popcorn Flix having a slight problem with the audio and video being desynced when resuming from commercial. The fix was to just rewind and start again, thus losing nothing other than a negligible amount of time to fix the small desync. Overall, really nice price and surprisingly great quality in the built in audio. Few complaints, all of which not everyone will even encounter. Not too bad for my first Smart TV. Not too bad at all.

I was specifically looking for a smart TV for my bedroom. Also I have a Roku on my tv in the living room so being familiar with the technology would be a plus. This tv is perfect! I had no challenges setting it up. The size great, the colors are crisp and it does the job of being a Roku only tv. Because it's in the bedroom I don't need the volume to be very loud. But even when it has been, the sound is good enough.

This is a nice HDTV w/a great picture for the price. Roku is very cool feature. Only minus is that it doesn't have a full or complete remote control. Only came with the Roku remote. (The 1st TV screen malfunctioned in about 3 weeks, but Best Buy did a great job exchanging it with a new one. Was in and out of the store in about 12 min. The CSR at the desk asked if I had the remote and I said the only remote it had was the Roku one. So I am wondering if it's supposed to come w/one. Will have to call Insignia to find out. Still a good deal if on sale.

I decided to come out of the dark ages and purchase this television. This was my very first flat screen and I am very pleased with the choice especially since it is a Roku TV which I never heard of until I saw this one. I think it is an excellent purchase for a first timer like me. The price and quality is good so I decided to purchase another one.

Moving into a small space I was looking for a decent television that offered all the programs and apps I wanted. Hooked on Netflix, I knew a smart tv was in the cards so purchasing the RokuTV was the option. The picture and sound are excellent! The set-up was easy (once I set up my Roku account). At one point, I couldn't access my Netflix or Showtime stations but that was due to my internet connectivity not the tv unit itself. After that was resolved, no other problems! I owned an Insignia tv before so I was already familiar with the brand. I didn't have to spend a lot of money to get a quality product and got everything I wanted! Another benefit, I do not have to worry about an extra unit cluttering my tv space. Plus, unlike the stand alone Roku unit, the RokuTV gets updates without having to upgrade to the next model.

This product is priced nicely and was what I was looking for. Only neg is that like stardard remotes your able to punch what channel you want, with this tv it's more of a roku remote without manual numbered button options. It's user friendly, however if it wasn't for us having other roku devices etc in the home I feel she would have needed a few days to learn to operate the remote being that she's 3. But so far so good.

As a Christmas present, this TV has been great for my teenager. I had a small problem when I bought it. When we opened the box the screen was damaged. I went to the store the next day and it was exchanged inmediately. I came home and it took me about 15 minutes to set it up. The image and the sound are great. I recommend it, it is a great TV with a great price.

This TV was so easy to just plug in and start watching, which I was looking to do without cable. I bought a $50 antenna and local channels are crystal clear. I use Netflix, Amizon and I'm trying a few other options to see what I like... I really liked not having to buy a separate unit to stream these. Price point is great as long as it keeps on working!

I wanted a smart TV so I could skirt renting another TWC box. I also wanted a TV that could receive over the air digital broadcasts. This ROKU powered TV was the solution. (Note: This TV can not DVR broadcasts, so if recording shows is important to you you'll need additional equipment.) I can watch TWC channels over the internet. I can also watch HDTV over the air ie: ABC, NBC etc. broadcasts. I did NOT award 5 stars because it is somewhat tedious changing channels. The remote does NOT have a numeric key pad so you have to scroll up or down to change channels. Since this is a supplemental TV and it's a reasonably priced smart TV I can live with this constraint. The picture is terrific. On some channels and applications (like watching a DVD) the sound needs to be cranked up but that should NOT be a game changer, just crank up the volume.

Bought this for my daughter, so she could watch streaming shows without having to use her computer. It takes a little while to set up, and you need a Roku account (free) to fully activate it, but it wasn't too much work considering the various things built in. The picture is very good, better than most 32" screens I looked at. The only downside to this TV is that it does not have a normal TV remote. So, if you plug directly into cable or antenna, you cant change channels other than with the up and down buttons. Its perfect if you have a cable box or digital adapter of some sort. But for those that plan to watch a lot of TV off the cable without a box, you may want to think twice about this one.

Purchase this for my nephew who's in college and it was simply a perfect price with a perfect purchase. He compared the view with the Samsung 32 inch SmarTV and it wasn't too much of a difference in clarity and brightness. Since he does a lot of streaming, the Roku that is already equipped came in handy. Awesome product!
