Works out of the box. Picture quality similar to our Samsung. We have a Roku that works fine with the TV, except when we turn the TV on the Roku menu appears. We have to exit Roku to access the cable menu. We probably need to re-program. I was concerned about buying this brand, but we have been very satisfied. We also needed a smaller tv for the space available. This has a slim profile and back and fits close to the wall.Overall a good product for a reasonable price. Staff at the store were knowledgeable about the product and assisted us in the purchase

We needed a new TV for the bedroom and this 32" model was perfect for our needs. The picture is very good and the TV is louder than many other models. The fact that it is Roku enabled saved us another $50 we would have had to spend for the bottom line stand alone Roku streaming stick or player. The only negative is the placement of the volume buttons on the remote. They are on the right edge of the remote and it is very easy to accidentally mute the TV when picking it up. Overall the unit performs very well and is at a very attractive price point.

I just love this tv. It was easy to setup and easy to navigate around. Once setup on Roku and set my channels, I have not complaints. Picture quality is great and is smooth.

I've had the TV for about 2 months. I use it in my daughter's bedroom for her to watch cartoons. The tv itself works decently and the picture is clear. However, I have hit a glitch with the remote where pressing any button: home, volume, left or right, etc. powers off the TV. When calling they offered to send a new remote right away, but then hit an error with their system and told me they would have to call back the next day to send a new remote. So works good, but with an integral control in the remote failing I can't give them 5 stars.

Super fantastic TV! I wanted to upgrade to a 1080 TV, and for this price it was a steal. Best part of the TV was that it has a component input on it, which has been hard to find on TVs as of late, now I can get my retro gaming on as well as playing my PS4 in crisp 1080! And having the Roku is an added plus to the TV. Only con would be that I wish it came with a "normal" remote with numbers lol

We bought this as a gift for someone and they didn't want it (no clue why we bought a TV for someone who only watches Netflix once a month). Rather than return it we kept it for our bedroom. GREAT picture (maybe too good, I can see the complexion of the actors/actresses *shudder*) The remote is easy, even for someone as tech challenged as I am (I mean who can mess up on a remote with a red button that says NETFLIX??) Great size, all around great product ... two thumbs up, great family fun!!

Pretty cool, wasn't sure about the remote at first, but it's cool kinda like a PC mouse, makes clicky noises. Netflix works without buffering ever for a 1080 tv. I am impressed, only thing that is short is the stand for the tv, only about an inch off the shelf. But the Roku is built in and you can select a lot of free channels or pay if you choose, like hbo & showtime. Great picture, too. No flaws manufacturing-wise.

All in all the t.v is great. I bought the first one on a whim because i saw it was an open box item and i had thought about upgrading electronics anyways so when i saw the price at 150 i couldnt help myself from grabbing that quick. I then decided to go to the best buy in kenosha which is the next closest store to me and to see if they had any of the tv that were also open box. They had one set at the same price as the first one and ended up buying a new one at 250. No problems and very easy to set up and hook xbox and other plugs you may need. A few weeks went by and all the sudden my sons xbox would not connect to the wifi...called the insignia people 2 times and they told me to call my wifi provider to help. I have protection plans on all of them and it states to call the insignia company for issues, but they basically summed it up by telling me there are so many possibilities that could be making it not work that it seems useless and a waste of time to even bother with them. In the end i was told to drop the tv off at best buy so it could be sent to Ill. to be looked at. Over a week went by before i even got a call from the place that had it to fix and recieved a 2 minute long message from a man who, no harm intended, but i could not understand a single word he said in the voicemail, im not sure if he even spoke full english, all i got from it was that the tv was to be sent back to my best buy and if there were any more issues with it i was to talk to the wifi provider again because there was nothing more they can do. So......whats the point of buying a warranty/service plan for 50$ if that is all they will do for me if the problem happens again. Why not just replace the dang thing if it messes up, because ive already dealt with my provider and what insignia told me to do the provider said they cant because it ruins other things that are hooked up to my wifi. So if there is another issue with this one tv they will deal with me because it will either get fixed again or i will push them to do something about it.

I purchased an Insignia, under-$300 Roku SmartTV for a bedroom. I love it. Great picture and sound. EASY setup -- 10 minutes and done. I haven't had an issue at all with it. I got the Roku app, and it works perfectly as a remote, too, which isn't necessary, but it's fun. Tons of on-TV apps to peruse. #recommend

I am very pleased with the ease that this TV operates and I love my ROKU. I am still trying to determine how happy I am with it being controlled by ROKU. You actually get to ROKU first and then have to SELECT your cable box from the ROKU menu. That is a bit off-putting to me since I've worked in the opposite manner for quite some time.

This TV is a great value. The picture quality exceeds my expectations. Bought this to replace a Google TV that died and I like the Roku much more than the Google TV. The Roku media player on this TV recognizes my media server much more reliably than the previous TV and the apps for the different cable stations allow the kids to watch their shows without an actual cable hookup.

I think this TV is a decent buy for the price and also considering the fact that its a real breeze to set it up and then get going. It took me 10 minutes to go from In-Box to full setup. Pretty Light weight as well. The remote is cute and fits your hand perfectly. Definitely recommend this to anyone who need a small TV.

After having purchased a 32 inch for my bedroom, I was eager and excited to get a 40 inch for the den. As a result of researching the best televisions and reading reviews from this site, I decided to go with the Samsung. The picture quality is excellent and the setup was super easy. I purchased a sound bar but returned it since the sound quality fits my needs and perfect for the size of my room. I am looking forward to many years with this TV!

This is an excellent smart TV! Watching my favorite shows like Breaking Bad and Orange is the new black on the built in Netflix app is fast and easy! I've also had no problems with input lag while playing games like GTA5 and Assassins Creed! There is no backlight bleed! The motion is also great for a 60hz panel! The blacks are good and the colors seem to be fairly accurate! The remote is very simple and small but it gets the job done. This is an excellent TV! A smart TV that's 1080p and has 3 HDMI inputs for this price is a steal!

Purchased this tv for my bedroom. Color is clear and bright, picture is sharp. Only critique is that I still must use 2 remotes--one to turn on and choose platform and control volume and the other to change channels. Minor detail, but still... Other than that, I love this tv!
