    This mug grips well on most surfaces but releases immediately if you lift straight up. There is a push button seal on the top. When closed, it is sealed and can't spill. When it is open, you can drink from any position around the edge of the lid.

    I purchased this mug for my boss as a Christmas present as he is notorious for spilling his coffee. I love the mug but it doesn’t work on surfaces with texture which is disappointing

    They have a mechanism that sticks to a smooth surface so they don't get tipped over accidentally. I haven't tried it on a rough surface. They are very roomy too.

    I was always knocking over my glasses on my desk and getting everything wet. This Mug is very resistant to getting knocked over. I now have several.

    This cup is great around things that should never be spilled on. The suction bottom only lifts off a solid surface if lifted straight up. It does not lift or spill sideways.
