I got this oven in order to have a more efficient way to cook smaller amounts of food and to not heat up the whole kitchen. Score! it does what I wanted. I chose this particular one because it doesn't use a halogen bulb and the price is great. I think anything you can cook with in a regular oven - like foil, parchment paper, ovenproof glass, and metal - can be used in this. The nicest thing is that you can see the food as it cooks, which is necessary because for me the temperature and cook times are different than my regular oven. I did a 5+lb roast chicken in 1 hour 45 minutes and it could have used less time or a lower temperature. I used guidelines provided in the user manual. It did a great job of crisping the skin. The glass bowl is kind of heavy. I don't have a problem with it but my elderly mother wouldn't be able to use it. I can see how the little plastic power safety switch will need to be carefully used to avoid breaking it. The glass bowl does get hot, of course, but it doesn't seem to radiate much. A great tip per an earlier reviewer - after cooking, turn off the heat and run the fan for a couple minutes to dissipate the heat and help preserve the life of the heating element and plastic housing..

I bought this model based on the positive reviews on Amazon. I mostly use it for roasting veggies and meat, and I'm very happy with it. It's great to be able to cook in the summer without heating up the kitchen, and faster than a conventional oven.

I originally bought this as a gift for christmas for my mom. We were so excited because we knew she wanted this as a gift. On new years day, she was able to cook chicken and pork on this.. So easy u just set the timer. You can do other things while this thing is doing its work :)

Great convection oven for a cheap price, easy to use and clean.

Bought this for my mom cause she wanted a tabletop oven. She's been using this for weeks now and i think she like cooking with it. The only thing i heard from her about this machine is that sometimes it makes loud noises and that she needs to lift the cover and put it bsck in so the noise would disappear. Overall she liked it, minus the noise.

Awesome pork roast all the time and roast chicken always comes out with a perfectly crispy skin.

To make these type ovens last longer, when the cooking cycle is over, turn the temp to zero and leave the fan on for 10-15 minutes or until you can feel the top plastic control head is cool. If this is not done, when both the fan and element shut off, the residual heat from the still hot element and bowl goes straight up into the plastic parts of the control head. When cooking, the fan draws in cool air from slots in top and cools all the plastic and control parts in the head. Just put your hand on top of it as soon as it shuts off and feel it start to get hot. I learned this after 5 years with a similar Aroma brand, which I had to take apart a number of times to repair cracked and degraded plastic parts in the control head.. Otherwise these are great, cook everything in it, I smell roasted chicken right now...

The reason I gave it 4 for quality instead of 5 is because when I received my first Oyama Turbo Oven, the glass container had multiple inner cracks and bubbles. What I mean by that is that the cracks and bubbles were somehow inside the glass (perhaps during the making process of the glass). You wouldn't be able to feel it in the inside or outside of the glass container. BUT... BestBuy was awesome to help me get it replaced. The initial experience with BestBuy.com, being that I normally go to the stores to make my purchases, it wasn't so great at first. I kept getting different answers and different statements. But overall, with everything that did go bad, it turned 180 and everything went back on track and I have to say, I am impressed. The product. It honestly is a great product. The 2nd one I received did have some minor cracks and bubbles, but it wasn't as bad as the first one I received. I also didn't get an instruction booklet or warranty card with my first one. The 2nd one has been working flawlessly. It cooks food great and makes food taste great. Since I have bought this unit, I haven't used my regular oven. I rarely even use my stove anymore! I even took it over to my parents house to have them see how it works and they love it, they will be getting one too! The cleaning is also simple. Place the glass bowl in the dishwasher and just wipe down the top lid with some all purpose cleaner.
