Wow. By far the most fantastic game made for the ps3 so far. The story line is so good that you feel like your watching and action adventure flick at the movie theaters but that your the hero. The characters are amzing with truly authentic voice overs that will blow your mind. It truly looks like they are real. Controls are very easy to pick up on. They did a crazy good job of bringing the gun into play during a third person shooter sort of game. The treasures in the game are like they could be real treasures that people could find. If you are looking for an amazing game that you can play over again and again than look no further because here it is. This is the best game ever made in the history of the universe and nothing can beat it except maybe a sequal (fingers crossed). If you don't have it already go and buy it now. Like right now. I remember my first time playing this game. I've heard so much praise about it and I'm glad I got to experience it. I was hooked right away and I just love these type of games. So much action and adventure, it just really draws you in. There is no multiplayer in this game, but the single player experience is enough to give you that feel of a wonderful and outstanding experience.

I recommend downloading the demo on the PSN before you buy, just to get a flavor for how cool and fun this game is going to be! I am NOT a fan of FPS shooters, I always find them boring, BUT, this game has so much more to offer than a standard shooter. First of all, the plot is awesome, it's like you're the main character in an Indiana-Jones like adventure film. The graphics and cutscenes are the best I've seen from the PS3 so far. The gameplay is not bang-bang-bang, which I like. In other words, if you just go in guns-a'blazin', you will get picked off in nothing flat. The AI of the enemies is very intuitive, you have to use cover, time and space your attacks, and that adds a satisfying hint of strategy to the gameplay. IGN.com has given it a 9.1 rating out of 10, based on my play of the demo, I am hooked and count me as one of the first-day purchasers!

It took some time, but the PS3 is beginning to produce some real contenders in their exclusive game lineup. Uncharted is one of the latest and possibly best examples of this trend. The best way to describe the gameplay is 'Gears of War' (without its repetitiveness) meets 'Tomb Raider' (without its unforgiving platforming). It's fast and frantic, full of puzzles, gunfights, and a number of cinematic action sequences. The story and the voicework are worth playing the game for alone. There's a lot to like about Nathan and his cohorts, and the acting behind these characters is as deep as anything you'd see in a Hollywood production. This is one of the 5 Games you must own if you have a PS3 (Warhawk and Rachet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction being a few of the others)!

I loved playing this game because the fluidity of movement the character had when walking, jumping, swimming, etc. It also had some of the best graphics I've seen on a role-playing game ever. Only recently (almost 8 months after this was released) has there been games that can compare visually. The controls for manuevering the character whether it be his motion, gun controls or the like were very easy to learn and get accustomed. On normal mode this game took me about 25-30 total play hours to complete. On the hard difficulty level it takes about 8 or so hours longer. Obviously that depends on your playing ability as well. The story was very fun to get into and it wasn't child-like like some games tend to be at times. Overall, I was very impressed with this game.

ABOSLULTEY GORGEOUS GAME... full of feeling and emotion....ONE OF THE BEST STORY LINES I HAVE EVER PLAYED... one of the most realistic games i have played...there is no HUD most of the time making the full screen your playing vew as if its real life... the shooting is a slight bit unrealistic but that comes with the body armor some guards use... i wont ruin the game but tomb raider cant put a finger on this one... hate, anger, helplessness, SCARED, frantic, ect... this game has it all.. at one point i seriusly was scared to go further because of some dark tunnels...plus many incentives along the way like headshot awards fist fights ect. a must to pick up on the ps3 collection that is growing! - "im good for it" -Drake

This game is so fun! It has a great storyline, it keeps you on your toes and trying to figure it out as it goes along. It starts out with giving you easier shooting scenes from the beginning, so you can learn and get it down, then makes it more difficult and challenging as you go along. There are fun puzzle pieces and I really enjoyed looking for and finding hidden treasures. If I were to recommend any game to someone who just got their PS3, it would be this and Uncharted 2. This game is so much like an action/mystery movie, it's so entertaining to just watch and play. I originally only watched my boyfriend play it, and I was so hooked on it and wanted to keep seeing what would happen next, I kept asking him to keep playing. After he finished the game, I had to play it myself....which is crazy, because I was not interested in it at all before seeing the game. Of course, after playing this, I had to then buy "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves". This is the best game series, I cannot wait for them to realease "Uncharted 3"! And for this game being a 2007, the graphics are amazing, it was so much ahead of its time!!! Seriously, this is such an awesome game, just get it! You won't be disappointed.

Man I was looking forward to playing this game after downloadihng the demo. I was first pulled in by the graphics, then the game play and the storyline you can follow with really well. Normally I dub past the storyline, but this game leaves me interested. Also graphics are very stunning. It seemed this game was well ahead of its time. Naughty Dog def pushed the PS3 to the max. I just love this game. Liike the last reviewer you are bound to lose sleep over this game. You're drawn in to see what happens next. Each aspect of this game is awesome. SO GO GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first game I played on the PS3 I got for Christmas, and I couldn't have picked a better game to test out the PS3's capabilities. I was blown away by the amazing graphics and the most life-like scenery I've ever seen in a video game. The controls are easy to get used to, and Uncharted takes advantage of the Six Axis controller in several situations. The only thing I wish it featured was a multiplayer mode or online mode, but all of the pros make up for this con. The bottom line is, if you have a PS3 and you don't have this game, get it!

This is a pretty good game and the storyline and acting both compliment each other. Its a good mix of shooter and adventure gaming. So far I think the game is cool except for the swimming, he is too far above the water so it looks really fake. With the job they did on the rest of the game mechanichs they got really lazy on the swiming. It is incredible however the detail put into how he gets wet. The only part of his clothing that gets wet is the parts that actually come into contact with the water. The one thing that this game has over tomb raider is that he actually can fight and the combos are very good. This game cannot stand alone as a shooter so if you want a shooter game this is not for you. If you liked tomb raider this game is a good buy. All in all a good game for its genre. Saying I would recomend this game was a tough desicion to make but I went with yes.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has been a pleasant surprise. It has fantastic graphics and a decent story. Gameplay is linear, but Naughty Dog pulls it off well. The AI is good. The tropical settings and ruins are amazing. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has some similarities to Far Cry. One similarity of note is the use of dramatic music during action sequences. When you have killed the last enemy in that sequence, the music stops. I found the game more interesting than Assassin's Creed. The ending was certainly better.

Wow. What can I say. This game by far is the true definition of next generation gaming. This game on all levels is the best game I've ever played. Graphics are seriously insanely good. I don't know how much more lifelike video game characters can look. Add the attention to detail in the surroundings, realistic voice over acting, character movement that's fluid and real, and the sense of accomplishment and closure you get from the story. You get the most complete gaming experience. I can't wait for the sequel!

This is a very well put together game. From the gameplay, graphics, sound and story you can definitely tell this game was given a lot of attention. The locations are lifelike and all of the treasures are very well researched and rendered lifelike. The only drawback to the game is that with some effort and no kids around, can be beaten in under 24 hours on hard. For all of you trophy hunters, this is an easy platinum game and can be done in under 3 days.

Uncharted is the best ps3 game ever. The graphics were the best I have ever seen (the forest and the water effects were insane), the music and sound was great (if this was a movie, it would earn an emmy for music and best sound for a motion picture), the cut scenes can be real dramatic and get you into the game, the bonus features shows you TONS of awesome bonus content that makes you appreciate the game even more, and the game play is non-stop fun action.

Drakes fortune is the greatest game i have ever played. THe dialgue is awsome, the controls are very easy to pick up and easy to use while in combat. The graphics are unbelievable. You can skip through the cut scenes ( why you would i have no idea.) the Story is cery creative in how things tie together. 7 stars out of 5, if you are thinking about buying a ps3, this game is the only reason you would need one.

This is one of the best PS3 games of all time. The graphics are incredibly detailed, the storyline is pretty nice, and the gameplay is just plain fun. It looks and feels like an action movie. In fact, I hear that they are making it into a movie. The gameplay has the tomb raiding aspect of the tomb raider games, the cover system from gears of war, and has a little indiana jones feel into it. The game doesn't feel like it copies any of these games, the way it blends these 3 gameplay aspects is beautiful. Unlike in tomb raider where you have to be precise to make a jump, this game makes it quite easily, as long as you're not way off. I'm not familiar with how exactly the cover system in gears of war is, so I can't talk about that, other than it works well in Uncharted. And the indiana jones feel is because of how the traps you may encounter in the game are, very intense and fun to watch. This game should be a greatest hit, I don't know why it isn't. Yes the game is short as I said before, but the game features trophy support and unlockables to modify gameplay, like have you automatically start with certain weapons, or to change the way your guy looks. And Nathan Drake (the guy you play in the game) is such a loveable character. If you still have doubts, you can rent the game, or download the demo from the playstation store. The demo has you play in one of the levels in the game. It's not the best level, but it has one of my favorite cutscenes, which made me love Nate so much.

First off, let me start by saying I made the mistake of playing Uncharted 2 before Drake's Fortune. It probably makes me a bit more critical after seeing what several years and a complete revamp of their gaming engine could do. However, this game is still stands the test of time even by today's standards with it's overall presentation, excellent voice acting and engaging story. If you can, you want to start with this game and then move to Uncharted 2. It is very enjoyable and will give you a greater appreciation for the improvements that occurred between the two to make a good gaming franchise superb.

To think that i, a person who is in love with video games, would miss this game until late 2011 is just unbelievable. i had heard of uncharted being one of the greatest games ever but never quite believed it. I had the demo on my ps3 for a while now and i also had the demo of "AMONG THIEVES", one day when i was bored and had no internet connection, i tried it out. i fell in love with it. the storyline, even if it was brief, got me intrigued. the graphics were amazing for 2007 game, had a lot of fun with the demo so i decided to buy it as soon as i could. with the second one too cause i also played among thieves' demo.

This game is a great purchase for the ps3. It isn't just a first person shooter, it's an adventure game in a way. It is very fun with all the different challenges and things that you have to do. The story is pretty good. The controls are cool and so is pretty much everything about the game. There is a ton of cool stuff you can do, so I think it's a great game to get.

The most underrated game out there right now. If you own a PS3, you must own this game. The graphics and details of Uncharted truly show the power of the PS3. The controls and game play are superb. The storyline seems like it is right of a movie and the cut scenes looks like you're watching one. The achievements and difficulty levels have me playing this game non-stop.
